509 Tarpon Pond Cottage

509 Tarpon Pond is located mid-island on Seabrook. Enjoy spectacular views of the 7th hole of Ocean Winds golf course while you relax in the sun room or catch some rays on the open deck.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage comfortably sleeps 8. Inside the front entrance an open floor plan awaits with a vaulted ceiling in the living room area and the four season sun room beyond. The kitchen is fully stocked with natural lighting from the window above the sink. Highlights include stainless steel appliances & quartz counter tops. The dining room area seats 6.

A special feature of this property is the 4 season sun room with both heat and a/c. This spacious room is truly the heart of the home with wall to wall windows that highlight the golf course views.

The master bedroom is on the main level with King bed , 32" Smart TV and en suite bath. Two additional guest rooms are on the main level each with Queen size beds and 32" TV's with You Tube streaming. These rooms share a full hall access bath. There is a 4th guest room upstairs in the open loft with 2 Full beds. There is a 50" television with You Tube streaming and an Xbox gaming system.

A stacked washer and dryer is also available for your convenience as well as a propane grill. An outside shower is perfect for rinsing off those sandy toes.

This property is dog friendly for up to (1) dog with additional fees to apply.

This property has a Ring camera on the exterior of the property

*Seabrook Island Property Association (SIPOA) has started charging for all gate passes.

Gate passes are $45/ vehicle. This charge applies if you are staying 1 night – 179 nights. If you are staying more than 179 nights, there is a different charge.

The first pass is included in your stay. You must call our office if you require more than one gate pass

LSV (Low Speed Vehicle) RENTALS PERMITTED at this property. An LSV requires the use of one of the gate passes included in the maximum number of vehicles passes.
Requirements for LSVs
Must be registered and insured, have a 17-digit VIN and display an LSV license plate, display a valid SIPOA entry pass issued specifically to that vehicle. Drivers must have a valid driver's license. No off-road tires allowed
Usage Restrictions:
For street use only. No use on bicycle paths, walking paths, golf course cart paths, boardwalks, or beaches. Follow SIPOA vehicle and parking rules.
Safety Requirements: SC seat belt laws apply to all occupants. Child seats are a must. SIPOA officers and CCSO will stop vehicles with unsecured children

Amenity access, allowing you access to the Seabrook Island Club amenities, is INCLUDED at no additional cost in this rental
Seabrook Island is a cashless island. Your credit card will be linked to an in-app digital QR code for all purchases. Your QR code also acts as your "key" to enter all Club and Lake House facilities.
What's Free: Use of the Beach Club oceanfront pools and the Lake House outdoor pool.
What Costs Extra: Golf, tennis, pickleball, equestrian activities, the Lake House fitness center/indoor pool, and all food or drinks at Seabrook Island Club bars & restaurants

Perfect home for our trip

We were there for a wedding at the Club. House was a perfect location. We got to play and enjoy the golf course. The house had everything we needed and was lovely with a beachy feel. Really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage has great amenities and was well appointed. The furnishings were very nice and comfortable. It had ample space for my family and we really enjoyed the beautiful views of the golf course. We had a wonderful stay!

Comfortable and Welcoming House

The house is in a lovely location with a great open view of the golf course. It is well equipped and feels like a home and not just a place to stay. Out of the four places we have stayed in on Seabrook this is our favorite!

This house had it all!! Perfect for our family of 5 (3 adults and 2 teens plus our dog) everyone had their own space when needed. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need to make lunches and dinners…and the gas grill under the house was a huge bonus. Boogie boards and chairs available to use really kept the teens happy too! Furnishing were beautiful—can’t wait to book this house for next summer! Property management team was extremely helpful and responsive! Book this place on Seabrook, you won’t be disappointed.

Seabrook Retreat

We had a great time in Seabrook for a long weekend. The house was as described and very comfortable and quiet. We saw some bald eagles while sitting in the sun room!

Seabrook

We love Seabrook. It is our go-to beach vacation. We had a great time. We love Tarpon Pond and stay there always if we can. It's always quiet, not crowded, and a true vacation. The house was clean and had plenty of room.

Great cottage stay

Love this cottage, right on the golf course. Owners have taken great advantage of all of the outdoor spaces, with seating on both decks and a full entertainment area under the house. Kitchen is well equipped and the furniture is comfy. It seems like the owners have spent time at the cottage because you have everything you need. Only thing to add would be bath mats. Great stay!

Home was clean and very nice. The couch in the sun room was very comfortable. Beds were comfortable, two of the beds are adjustable, one being the king bed, which was great for nursing my infant. We had issues with the internet, the password had been changed , but we did end up getting the proper password. Appliances were nice and new. Master shower was lovely and modern. There are no mixing bowls in the kitchen, but it had everything else we needed. There was no bikes or Xbox when we stayed there , wasn’t a huge deal, but we were expecting them based on the listing. Enjoyed the dart board and sitting area under the home.Beach was not too far away, we loved walking the beach during sunset. We went to the ocean front pool one day and it was hot and crowded with very little shade and seating. The only restaurant on Seabrook we went to was the pool bar , menu was very limited, but the food we got was good. Overall it was a nice short stay and would book this rental again.

Christmas on Seabrook Island

Overall, a nice place to stay with family for the holiday weekend. Appreciated that the property was dog friendly as it enabled us to bring along our pup; however, it was clear that previous renters who brought pets didn't treat the property as they would their own home and failed to clean up after their pets, which left permanent marks throughout the home. The kitchen amenities (pots, pans, utensils) were not as clean as we had anticipated, which made our plans for cooking in challenging. Aside from the pet stains on carpets (and some dirt marks easily visible on the white sofas) and cleanliness of the kitchen amenities, it was a great sized property with lots of common areas for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying family and the location was convenient for relaxing on the island. The hosts were easy to get in touch with and the check-in instructions were clear.

Island Getaway

The home was very comfortable for our group of lady friends all over 50 most from SC driving in and me catching up as well as all working since a few of us are busy professionals. So we also had to use the wifi, printer and be able to work comfortably with a nice view of the golf course and its wildlife. We went to the beach a short drive every day but 1 and I walked in the neighborhood. It was comfortable sleeping all of the 5 friends who joined me 2 couldn't stay over night, because their schedules wouldn't allow, but could comfortably done so. Parking was adequate. We could have used the bikes just didn't get around to it. The kitchen was well stocked for what we needed and wanted to do. A couple things were fixed quickly and easily while we were there. Everyone was pleasant to talk with. Thank you all.

Home at the Beach!

Great light, amazing view of the golf course, spacious, and a perfect, tucked-back location. The bathrooms were fantastic, and so is the kitchen! Really top notch. The bedrooms were a good size, and comfortable too which doesn’t always happen on vacation. The only thing that really fell short was the carpet. It is really stained and kind of gross-looking. The place is very clean, which we appreciate, but please replace the floor…especially with pets being allowed. A better floor would go a long way and match the quality of the home. Everything else was spectacular and we will definitely be back!

A great stay on Seabrook!

We had a fantastic time at Tarpon Pond Cottage during the Thanksgiving holiday! Literally everything that we could have needed was there, not to mention everything was in perfect and clean condition. The game/kids area upstairs was an amazing little spot for the kids to play and seeing the deer outside each evening on the golf course was so fun for them, as well! The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and the cottage is cozy and clean. We loved the check-in process and communication was great if we needed anything. We give this place 5-stars and will definitely stay here again when we go back to Seabrook!

Review 509 Tarpon Pond

The location is amazing, the house is spacious and has great views. The problems - There were stains on the carpet, couches, and bedding, dust on the doors, windows, and fans, and the outdoor space under the house was covered in green mold/pollen/dirt that I spent multiple days spraying the concrete, tables, and chairs etc down with water to clean off the pollen and green/brown coating that had built up. The house stilts, literally everything. The rockers and adirondacks hadn't been wiped down in ages, went through a thing of wipes to get them useable. Other than these things, the house is perfect for a beach vacation stay. Would stay again.

This property is wonderful. It is quiet and well thought out. Convenient to all of SeaBrook Island. The panty is so well stocked. We have rented homes for a decade and never experienced such a lovely and well provided home. We plan on returning.

Cancellation Policy:
For cancellation made up to 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less a $250.00 cancellation fee.
For cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, all monies are forfeited. If we are able to rent the contracted dates after a cancellation, Guest will be refunded an amount equal to new rental rate minus the $250 Cancellation Fee. The amount refunded is not to exceed the amount paid by the Guest's under the terms of the Rental Agreement.

For monthly rentals the policy is as follows:
For cancellation made up to 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less a $250.00 cancellation fee.
For cancellations made less than 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, all monies are forfeited. If we are able to rent the contracted dates after a cancellation, Guest will be refunded an amount equal to new rental rate minus the $250 Cancellation Fee. The amount refunded is not to exceed the amount paid by the Guest's under the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Amenity cards giving you access to the facilities of the Seabrook Island Club are included in the rent. These cards give you access to the Beach Club oceanfront pools (seasonal), Pelican’s Nest outdoor restaurant/bar (seasonal), Island House restaurant/bar, golf and tennis. Additional fees are charged for all activities except outdoor pool usage. The Club Amenity Card also allows access to the Lake House facilities (outdoor pool/no fees; indoor pool/fitness center/fees apply).
