Note: Home is on a downtown street with unfenced yard. Children must be supervised at all times.
CHECK OUT LIST: Guests are required to complete a few check out items in order to prevent additional charges. This list is provided in a Welcome Guide link sent by the host.

BBQ: Barbecue must be cleaned after each use and prior to checking out in order to avoid infestations of insects and rodents. There is a $25 cleaning charge per guest stay if grill is not cleaned prior to check out.

POOL: detailed instructions and rules can be found in the Welcome Guide link. Guests must avoid using the pool with any lotions, oils, tanning sprays or other chemicals on their skin. Please shower when possible before use. These chemicals are likely to change the chemistry of the pool and may require an extra visit from our pool tech. If an extra pool shock or other treatment is required, guest will be responsible for that expense post stay. If you have any questions about the pool or additional requirements, please contact host anytime.

An amazing place to stay for our family of 6! The kids loved the indoor pool and the bunk room. And it’s so close to everything especially snow canyon! Thank you for an amazing place. We will be back!

There was just a couple of small things. The bedrooms dont have blackout curtains so it is brite when the sun comes up. And the cooler cant go lower then 76 and with it is 51% humidity and you have all the fans going it is a little uncomfortable. The pool is great we had alot of fun in it.

Perfect family stay

This property has become our 'go to' place when coming to the St George area. It's quiet and out of the way. We love the indoor pool and having it all to ourselves. Everything is always clean and ready for us. We will definitely be back. Thanks so much.

Joy & Fun in Santa Clara

This property has it all for any age. The house is large with very comfortable furnishings and tons of amenities. The heated indoor pool is always a hit with our family as well as the many board games supplied for fun! Always greeted with a personal welcome note, sweet treats, Utah Parks pass and much more. We have family close by. We have spent Christmas week and now High School Graduations at the property. Cannot say enough good things for this property!

Clean, orderly and overall great

We had a nice time in Santa Clara. The house was clean and well organized. We felt very comfortable and had plenty of activities while hanging around the house. Melanie was very kind and easy to work with.

Pleasant weekend

We had a pleasant weekend at this property. It was great to have your own pool to swim in. The kids had a blast. My only complaint is that my wife was sweeping up glass daily from a glass door which was previously shattered. Other than that, the house was comfortable and the Marvel toys to play with were a big hit.

Great house!

House was roomy. It sits on a busy street that is noisy but that's about the only downside. Most VRBO's that we have stayed in have more staple items in the pantry and fridge so you don't have to purchase them for one time use but it looks like they clean out everything between stays so be prepared to purchase everything that you need. Property manager is very friendly and responds if needed.

Clean and Comfortable, too pricy

We only needed to stay at the house for a couple of nights, but it was spacious, well furnished, very clean and updated. The house was in good condition and the location was great. We would certainly ~consider~ staying here again, but it is more expensive that other similar rentals in the area. I would gladly give up use of the pool to save money. One thing I think is being forgotten about this property is that when the owner invites clients to the property for swim lessons, two things happen. 1- The renters feel a sense of loss of privacy and may not love having small children around every weekday morning. 2- The pool is a big attraction and yet you can't use it for half the day as lessons are being taught. This was clear to me when I booked the rental, but I don't think these factors are taken into consideration when the nightly rate was established. I have needed housing twice since renting here and both times I found houses in town with the same (if not more) living space, sleeps 6 adults in their own beds, and prices were around $50-75 less per night. Just something I think the owner should consider.

Alex thank you for staying at out home, and thank you for your review. You probably don't know this, but we bought this house because of the pool so that my wife could teach infant survival swimming lessons. We then decided afterwards to rent the home for vacationers. As you know, the pool is located in a building completely separated from the residence, and we put the door in on the west side of the pool house for additional separation. Parking is on the street to the west and there has never been a negative interaction between the swimmers and the renters. We are constantly reviewing pricing and we think we offer a very affordable price for a very nice place to stay with a private pool. We hope that the use of the swimming pool for a a few hours does not distract too much from the experience. We look forward to having your group stay with for the 2020 summer season, and we hope you are happy with your experience.

Not as described

We were excited to have a private pool during corona. This sounded like a great place. However, it is not as described. The "private" pool is shared with baby swimming lessons every morning from 8:30-12:30. After that it is available. You will wake up to babies screaming and crying every morning so no sleeping in. We tried swimming in it later the second evening but there was so much chlorine in the pool it made it hard to breathe and we coughed the entire 10 min we tried being in it. Next, "newly remodeled" is not exactly clear. The kitchen is beautiful and the new carpet is nice. Other than that and a few new sinks in the bathrooms it is very dated. They tried making it smell new with air wicks in every room, sometimes two. The smell was over powering even after we unplugged all 8 of them then the house smelled string of old mothballs. Also, the only way to enter the home is walking around the side with no porch lights to a side door with a code. You cannot enter through the front door at all during your stay. Wish we would have had an accurate description of the home because we wouldn't have spent over $800 for 3 nights with a pool that was unusable and on a very busy main street.

I hope can respond to the items you have pointed out in this review. We bought this house 5 years ago specifically for my wife to teach infant swimming lessons with the company Infant Swimming Resources (ISR). The pool provides a year-round location for her to teach these life saving skills. That is our priority with the pool. And so, as it is described in the listing, during swimming lessons, daily, during the week, the pool is not available to renters. Our home is a private residence with a private pool that is only used by the people staying at the property. We try to be very open about this in our description, but I will go back through it following this review. I also communicate with guests before they arrive to make sure they understand the situation. We messaged back and forth 5 times before your arrival to answer questions and describe the property. The next morning when you messaged me about getting in late and being awaken by the swimming babies I immediately responded and offered to refund your money if you were unhappy and wanted to find another place to stay. You indicated that things were great, and I did not hear from you again during your stay. We have not had complaints about the chlorine levels. I would have been happy to have my pool maintenance adjust the chlorine levels if you would have let me know there was an issue. The home was built in 1973. It has been remodeled, but not rebuilt. It does retain some of the sounds and occasional smells. We pay top dollar to keep it cleaned and we have had stellar reviews generally. I will speak with our cleaning service again to see where we can improve. After your visit I discovered that the light was out on the porch next to the entry door. I have replaced the bulb and sensor. Again, I would have been happy to come over and fix this if you would have let me know it was not working when you were there. We are in the process of replacing the front door. We have had trouble finding a new door and hardware due to the year of the door. I will have a key to the front door available for the next visitors. Please accept our apology that the home was not what you expected. I know that happens occasionally which is why I was more than willing to help you find another place. Safe travels on your drive home.

Home for Christmas

Fantastic. We loved it here. The heated pool was much loved. We have stayed at a lot of places in St. George. Many of them have community outdoor pools, but going to them in December for our annual St. George Christmas trip is usually reduced to our kids begging to go to the pool and we sit in the hot tub for 10 minutes once. This time we swam every day. We loved it. The home is cute and perfect for our family of five. Melanie was a great host. We have never had a Christmas tree during our Christmas trip and Melanie had one set up for us when we arrived. The home is cozy and we loved being there.

Great Find!

We enjoyed our stay at this property! It came stocked with everything we needed for our stay and was very well organized. Beds were also comfortable. My only minor complaint is that it is located on a busy road.

Home Away from Home

The Swiss Cottage had everything we needed for more than a week in St. George. It took us no time to be comfortable and when some of us got sick for a few days, we didn't mind not being able to go anywhere because there was plenty to entertain ourselves with "at home." We enjoyed trying out different restaurants and even having food delivered a few times. It was a very pleasant experience overall.

Fun Getaway Spot!

We had a great experience at the Swiss Corner Cottage! The property was spacious and had everything that we needed to stay entertained all weekend. You can tell that Melanie is very thoughtful and tries to make it as comfortable as possible. She was super responsive with all of our questions and came right over when we discovered the propane in the grill was out! This property also has an EV charger which made our stay even easier! Thanks for an awesome weekend!

Great getaway

This was a great place to stay. Location is right on a rather busy road, so that’s the only thing I wasn’t aware of, but the access to the pool more than made up for it. Spacious home that felt like a home away from home. Will definitely recommend this place. Melanie was an excellent host and really easy to communicate with.

Corner Cottage at the edge of Santa Clara

Perfect home for the family with plenty to do without having to wander outside. Plenty of places to sit and relax or spend time with others. Washer, dryer, coffee maker, dishes, separate pool towels and shower towels came in real handy.

Private Pool!!

We had such a wonderful time in this home. Plenty to do for all ages. The home was clean and well organized. We LOVED the private pool and the covered outdoor sitting area. We cooked all of our meals there and had everything we needed. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Cute family friendly stay

Such a cute house! We felt right at home, and loved that the host made us feel welcome with a hand written welcome note, and snacks. We loved the pool, and that the house was so accommodating for children. It was nice and clean and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Perfect property, excellent host!

We stayed here as a home base for exploring Zion National Park and surrounding areas. The home was exactly as described. We liked that it was in the middle of town and had easy access to many different locations. They made good use of the space and we were able to fit our family with no problems. Our kids loved the pool--in fact, we had to rearrange our plans to leave them more room to play! There were plenty of dishes and the kitchen was well stocked. Also plenty of linens and toys and games for kids. We never needed to contact the host during our stay, but were in contact before and after and she was quick to respond. We would love to come back soon and continue to explore. Our only complaint was that we didn't make the reservation long enough--we weren't ready to leave yet!
