This is a updated 2 BR on the 2nd/3rd floor of a beautiful home with great character. Located in the heart of Cincinnati- just a 5 minute Uber/Lyft to downtown Cincinnati, Over the Rhine and Finley Market. A 3 minute WALK to the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children's Hospital (and many others including the VA, UC Medical Center). Also, a short 3 minute walk to the world-famous Cincinnati Zoo and Burnett Woods.

This apartment can sleep up to 6 people. There is a shared driveway and street parking. Full kitchen with microwave, full bathroom with shower, two bedrooms and 2 living areas.

Available as a whole house, if available, which adds another bedroom, another full kitchen and another full bath in a separate listing.
NO LOCAL RENTERS PLEASE.

The space:
Spacious and clean. Two comfy queen size beds, a twin-size daybed and air mattress (available upon request). Newly renovated kitchen and full bathroom with shower.

Guest access:
You will have access to the entire 2nd and 3rd floor of the home.

Other things to note
There is a strict NO SMOKING policy. There is also a strict NO PARTY policy.
Any violations will result in a loss of the deposit and additional fines and cleaning fees.
Please let me know if you expect to bring additional guests.

Perfect location

This place was the perfect location for our trip to the zoo! It was just what my mom and I needed for this getaway.

Fantastic!

Main reason for visit was for the zoo! So nice to be able to walk there! Walking distance to a couple of great Mexican restaurants and margaritas! Great food very comfortable and clean!

Awesome location. Great find!

This house was just what we were looking for! We rented the 2 bedroom unit for 2 couples. It had everything we needed and was nicely updated with original charm. The host was super-responsive and even provided local tips for restaurants and things to do. Very clean and nice extra amenities. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this one!

UC family weekend

Great location check in and communication very smooth. Loved the ammentiies and complementary snacks. Only negative were the beds was expecting 2 queens and there were 2 full beds. Hard at 6’6 to sleep 2 in a full bed.

Couldn’t stay due to gas leak…

The house is very clean and comfortable and the owner was responsive. However, the weekend we went there, there was a natural gas leak that was very apparent upon entry. I let the owner know and she sent her handyman man out. We tried to wait to see if it would be fixed, but after an hour and a half, 2 of us had headaches and I was uncomfortable staying with 2 seniors and an infant. We eventually left to stay in a hotel down the street. When I asked the owner if we could be refunded, she would not refund the full amount…only half. I don’t think that is fair, due to it being a safety issue that needed a gas company to come clear it for safety purposes. She said the handyman fixed it, but the smell was so strong, I did not want to return. I was very disappointed as we were really looking forward to our trip. I really hope I can get refunded.

Guest left to eat dinner while the potential leak was investigated. The entire issue was solved within 2 hours of being notified of the smell. Once the issue was solved, there was no gas detected, and the gas company was able to come out and confirm. Guest originally agreed to get dinner during the repair, with the intent on returning (as long as everything was solved and safe, of course). After notifying the guest everything was safe and they could return, they stated they didn't wish to return and would go to a hotel. Although it was a late cancellation, I still offered a refund of the cleaning fee and 1 of the 2 nights. Guest did not return knowing they would not receive a refund for one of the nights they booked. No gas was detected and the issue was resolved within 2 hours of the guest notifying me.

I am writing the review I wish had been posted before I rented this place. This is a modestly appointed apt on a busy and very loud street. Modest means the furnishings are slightly worn, the bed creaks every time you move and feels like it is about to collapse, light bulbs are burned out, paint is chipped everywhere, two coffee mugs for the entire place (yes, I also checked the dishwasher). On the plus side it is large and clean. I know it was clean because the cleaning person was still cleaning the apt when we checked in 4.5 hours late after a full day of travel. The host offered an explanation but no apologies or effort to set it right. The host also lists lots of amenities in the VRBO listing that are not actually with the apt. They may be available if you rent the entire house, or maybe not at all. There is no washer/dryer, no free Hulu or any cable/streaming service (except Amazon if you have your own subscription), no deck, and the “shared driveway” is very narrow and can only fit one car. This means you “share” one spot with the entire house and good luck finding street parking. Very disappointed as I was looking for a recurring rental in the Clifton area.

Perfect

I am a nurse at the VA Medical center and needed somewhere to stay close to the hospital due to a snowstorm so that I could make sure that I did not miss my shifts. The property was within walking distance for me. The owner of the property worked with me on obtaining the rental and was amazing! The property itself is super cute and was not only comfortable, but a godsend. I wish it could give a higher rating than just 5 stars.

Grandparents visit

We chose this property because it was close to the Ronald McDonald House, which is where our grandson was staying. It was nice to have a place where they could get away and visit with us. The only real issue we had was parking as there was rarely street parking available and the driveway is shared with the neighbor next door. But the host was always reachable and willing to help with anything we needed. The house was very conveniently located and was clean. If you are traveling with toddlers or have difficulty navigating stairs you may have some issue with the steps. Overall we were very satisfied.
