Quiet and relaxing

Owners are really responsive and were very generous to allow us to use their kayaks and floats. We enjoyed just floating in the canal all day, very relaxing!

Lovely, Comfortable Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The apartment is comfortable and cozy! Good location close to the marina and other shops. The dock on the water is perfect for a glass of wine in the evening. Thank you for a great weekend!

Relaxing weekend

Wonderful place

Sun and Fun was a wonderful place for us to stay. It had all the amenities we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it very much. I would recommend taking a screenshot of the instructions to open the door before you arrive because reception is not the best driving to the location and not good in the area. Thank you!

This is our first time visiting Lake Gaston and we enjoyed the friendly community. This garage rental was clean, comfortable for 4 people, great location and pretty much has everything needed to spend a relaxing weekend with the family. Look forward to our next stay.😉

Perfect Little Hideaway

This was, by far, the cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed in! It was the perfect size for a couple, with space to relax inside and out. The kitchenette provided the flexibility to prep meals and the bathroom was larger than most hotels. The location was convenient, close to marinas and necessities, as well as other family in town for the weekend. It was our first time at Lake Gaston because we have family at Kerr Lake. When we find ourselves back at Lake Gaston, this will be the first place that we look at for lodging. Great job!

Pleasant

Chris and Michelle were great. They were extremely welcoming and available to assist us during all hours if there were any issues. Inside the unit was well kept and spacious enough for two. Access to the lake on our flat bottom 17 1/2 foot Carolina Skiff was fine (water level 1 1/2 to 2 feet) and the restaurant we went to was right across the lake -- about five minutes away. [The food was great!] Definitely a place we are going to consider staying in the future! Thank you Chris and Michelle for welcoming us in your home.

Location Location Location

We had a great time and this place exceeded our expectations. It is bigger than we thought and had a separate central air which had no trouble with handling the high summer heat. The water pressure in the shower was excellent with great pressure. We did bring our boat and kept it at the dock which was about 1.5 feet but just enough for our 20 foot sea pro bay boat. It is very convenient to Food Lion and shopping. You will not be disappointed and Chris was great with communication thanks again!!!

Sun and Fun experience

This property is great for 2 people! My wife and I enjoyed the house, dock, and neighborhood very much. Everyone was very friendly and the owners were quickly responsive with any questions that we had. My only issue is that the dock is in shallow water (and the lake was currently 18 inches lower than normal). We were unable to dock our boat (which is a V-hull) at the dock and had to make other arrangements. The dock would work for a waverunner or a different type of shallow water boat.

Great find!

This property was very nice! Exceeded our expectations! Conveniently located near shopping. We primarily only used for sleeping as we were in town for a wedding and stayed over our families lake house majority of the time. Therefore, we didn’t have the time to explore the property a ton though we did walk down to the water once. It was very nice from what we saw and opens up to a beautiful view of the water. I would highly recommend bug repellent!! There were a lot of bugs out I think mainly because it’s a wooded lot and on the water. But other than that this property is a gem! For a family of 3 it was more than comfortable!

Nice and adequate

Over all great however, a few suggestions especially if renting to bass fishermen bringing bass boats. If the covered dock is going to be unavailable for the renters bassboat to pull into then let that be known, it was assumed and I didn’t bring my cover, I am sure other bass fishers would want this information. Also, provide them information that there is or is not power at the dock to recharge batteries over night. Lastly, if parking in the driveway I would let persons who are bringing bass boats know they will need at least a 100’ extension cord to plug in their boat for overnight recharge. Other than that great stay, great communication.

Great cozy little apartment above a garage.

The apartment is above a garage; thus, reached by stairs -- I think the list should give a prominent notice about the stairs, for people who are mobility challenged. Otherwise, it was a nicely decorated, comfortable, well-furnished apartment that was perfect for our needs.

Perfect Stay

We were visiting family at Lake Gaston and this was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed quiet breakfast on the deck, had our days’ activities, and a great night sleep.

First time at Lake Gaston

Super cute place and good amount of parking since we took our boat. Good location and close to several restaurants and the grocery store. Definitely a good experience for our first trip to Lake Gaston and look forward to the next!
