Single Level Home - Steps to Downtown Gloucester & A/C throughout

My husband and I are working professionals with adult children. We both also work remotely and enjoy traveling.

We have another home we travel back and forth to. Our daughter and her husband live around the corner in Gloucester and our son is nearby our California home.

We love everything in Gloucester. It is a lovely town and our home is uniquely located adjacent to the downtown.

We enjoy, like most of us, family time and an opportunity for some relaxing downtime and homemade food. The kitchen has all amenities needed.

We also love to walk through downtown Gloucester to the board walk that lines the ocean to the nostalgic statue of a captain at the wheel of a ship in a storm, and then walk over to Stage Fort Park There are public tennis courts on this walk. We have also visited a lot of the artist coops nearby and Rocky Neck. We also enjoy going to the nearby North Shore Communities and Boston for events or for lunch. Rockport is a 5 min car ride to the Shalin Liu theater and shops and restaurants. Good Harbor beach is 2 miles. Uber or the subway and local shuttle CATA buses going there stop down the street for pickup. Salem is also not far to drive or take public transportation there.

We recently upgraded the insulation and heating and A/C in the property so it is enjoyable to be here what ever time of year. We like to watch movies and have TV with basic local cable channels in the living room and TV's with Firesticks for Wifi Apps and Youtube in the bedrooms. Wifi is also available. There is also a desk and comfortable office chair in each bedroom so that we each have our own work stations to make calls and work online.

Our neighborhood is quiet most of the time and we enjoy that. We have a long term tenant upstairs who works 6 days a week and gets up early and is out most of the time. He is very considerate and quiet as well.

We believe we are easy to communicate with and available to reach as needed throughout your visit.

We love this property because it is easy to get everywhere by car, train or bus. We discovered that the Cape Ann Transit has a Gloucester Thatcher Road bus line that stops nearby next to Dunkin Donuts and Walgreens and will take you to Good Harbor Beach for a dollar or two, so you don't have to worry about beach parking filling up or paying the daily parking rate. You can also walk to the downtown beaches and the public beach in front of the Beauport Hotel. We like taking the nearby train to Rockport to also avoid issues with parking and visit their cute shops, restaurant and theater and music events. The Cape Ann museum is also wonderful to walk to a few blocks away.
