Nestled on ample acreage, this retreat offers privacy and tranquility while being conveniently close to the town of Murphy. John C Campbell Folk School is a quick 5 minute drive if you are going to be a student at the school. Are you a race fan? It is a short 6 minute ride to the Tri County Race Track. Plenty of room to park your trailer. Coming in for a wedding? McGuires Millrace Farm is only 7 minutes away. The Casino in Murphy is a short 10-12 minute drive away. Plus, adventure beckons nearby with the Blue Ridge just a 30-minute drive away. Additionally, Helen, GA, awaits only an hour's drive. The area has an array of access to wineries.

This was our second stay at this cabin and we can’t wait to go back. The cabin is close to everything and not too far from the casino. The cabin itself is super clean the beds are so comfortable. Cabin is large in size and very nicely decorated. The hot tub was fantastic in perfect working order. I can’t say enough about the fire pit. We sat by it every night. We didn’t see any deer this time but saw squirrels. The cabin had everything we needed inside and out. Plenty of supplies. The owners are very helpful and communication is great. Very nice people. Overall stay… A. Can’t wait to return.

Thank you so much Jamie. We love having our guests return. Y'all are always welcome to come back. FYI The metal garbage can should have deer corn in it. Just throw out about 3 scoops in a couple of places. The deer will come, We didnt see any when we were up in January. Sometimes we see them every night, sometimes we dont see them at all.

Very Spacious cabin, although we were only 2 this cabin will easily fit a large family. Cabin very clean, rooms comfortable had more than enough supplies inside and out. The hot tub was large in perfect running condition. We LOVED the fire pit. Spent many of hours around it. The s’mores station was a very cute touch. Whoever decorated the cabin thought about small details. We loved it. It was also close to many things to do. The communication with the owners was excellent. Very nice people and responsive which is a plus!!We will positively stay here again in the future.Wish we could’ve stayed longer.. but back to work.

Great place to stay while at Folk School

Excellent place to stay while at Folk School. The home is a nice one level ranch with 2 baths and an extra bathroom in the laundry.Had a small issue with the heat, but once we called, the owners took care of it immediately.

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I were very happy with our stay. We try to get away just us once or twice a year and this was our first time in Murphy. The house was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub although it was a little hotter than we like and not being able to change it made are usually longer stays a little shorter but this will not keep us from returning. At first we were a bit concerned that I-64 can be seen from the front of the house but everything is situated nicely in the back and the noise was non exsistant. We still felt it was private and secluded and hope to return when we return to Murphy

Thank you for your awesome review. We had the hot tub checked out. The control panel was stuck on the hotter temp. We ordered a new one so that wont be an issue. We are happy you had a great time.

We stayed at this property to attend the Campbell Folk School. It was a very convenient commute allowing us to return to the cabin for meals. Very comfortable and private!

Amazing stay at the Rustic Ridge. Property was easily located. Love all the extras- labels on everything and instructions for use of amenities were greatly appreciated. It was exactly what the family needed.

We met in 2013. Married 2 years later. Tess is a real estate agent here in Lake County. I referee high school football and basketball in the Orlando area. This is our future retirement home to get away from the hot and humid Florida summers. We also wanted a place that we could enjoy the 4 seasons of the year. Here in Florida we basically have 2. Summer and 8 days of WInter. We do have other seasons like pollen, love bug and the dreaded hurricane season. We hope you enjoy our place when you visit. Hopefully you will want to rebook with us in the future.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We wanted to find a place for us to retire to that didnt have a lot of steps to go up. As it would be harder to go up and down as we got older. This property is one story. It is easily accessible as you dont have to go up a mountain to get to it. Plenty of parking area if you have other family meeting you at the rental. We only have 2 neighbors so it is a quiet area.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our well is not your normal well water. It is cold and tastes excellent. No need to buy bottled water while staying at our place. It has 3 porches. The one on back and side are screened in so you can sit outside to listen to the rain hitting the metal roof. That is a good relaxing sound. Drink your coffee on the back porch in the morning while listening to the birds sing. Keep a watch out for the deer coming in to feed at night. We have a metal trash can of corn out by the fire pit to put out. They will come in to eat the corn at dusk or in the morning. The fire pit is a short walk from the back porch. Worried about wood for it? Dont, as we provide the wood for you. Also provide fire starters. We rented a cabin a few years ago. Had to buy the wood. Then it rained and we had to take some of it back. It just didnt make sense to me to have guests buy wood then cant use the pit as it does rain quite a bit there. Sit on the swing on the front porch for a bit. We provide most of the amenities so you dont have to bring them. If you are staying for a week, you are more then welcome to use the washer and dryer. Washing tabs are provided. We also have dishwasher tabs. If you want to wash dishes by hand, we have dish soap. Filters for the Mr Coffee drip coffee maker.
