Pacific Seaside House by Pebble Beach & Redwoods

Summary:

Located just a couple of blocks from Pebble Beach, sits a beautifully renovated 2100 SqFt home, perfect for large families and gathering friends. Dream-like beauty abounds within a very short walk to the gorgeous ocean views and scenic views of the Light House.



The Space:

Prime Pacific Ocean location for ocean lovers, who love nature comfort and convenience. Sea Food "to go" restaurants, eating & drinking establishments, grocery shopping, sightseeing, hiking & so much more.

The home has a large beautiful kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and one bathroom at main level. Upstairs; Master Suite, Bathroom, forth bedroom and large family room with balcony and flat screen TV.



On the property there is also a small cottage (The Nautilus Cove) , which it's also a vacation rental and is separate from the main home and has it own space, driveway parking and entrance. Guests are asked not to disturb neighbors.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire house. Garage is not available for parking. But there is a driveway to accommodate 2 vehicles and on the street.



Getting Around:

Take a scenic walk to the lighthouse on low tide. Just a few minute drive to the tallest trees in the world and the cleanest river in the USA.



Other Things to Note:

Designated parking for guests in in the garage (one small vehicle only), garage driveway and curbside. Please do not block the driveway to the Nautilus Cove (next door)

We really enjoyed our 6-night stay in this home. There was a lot of room in the kitchen to gather and store food. The house's proximity to the Battery Point Lighthouse and the Jedediah Smith Park Visitor's Center were major highlights the owners were friendly and quick to respond when we had questions. Neighbors were quiet. Overall, a super peaceful stay.

Nice Location for day trips to Redwoods

The house is spacious and quiet. The kitchen is large . Four bedrooms with comfy beds. The location wad great for taking day trips to the tarails. Beach was a 20 min walk away.

Immediate impression is Wow - this is so nice, roomy, and comfortable! Kitchen is very well equipped, the bed was super comfortable, nice fenced backyard, and plenty of windows! The heating situation is very efficient- specific thermostats for each area so it feels very pleasant in no time. There were only two of us, so we just used the primary bedroom with walk-in closet (and plenty of hangers). Location was perfect - walked along the coast and out on a local fishing pier, spent one day in the redwoods and Stout Grove along the river, and took a little expedition to Brookings to a winery, followed by great, fresh Sushi. Neighborhood feels safe for walking all around. The cottage next door is very separate and we didnā€™t even notice it was there, except to say hello from the balcony when the guests first arrived. A delightful home away from home - highly recommend and wouldnā€™t hesitate to return!

Enjoyed our stay

Being the only non-hotel stay during our 3600 mile 5 National Park vacation, this property was a wonderful break. Very close proximity to the beach and overall a great stay. I would certainly recommend staying if you will visiting Crescent City, Jedidiah State Park of course Redwood National Park.

Short stay

This is our second time staying here we absolutely love this house and location. If you have kids/teens there is plenty to do and the park is a short walk up the street and beach access is just around the bendā€¦Always feels like home.

Welcoming Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Crescent City! The home was very welcoming with a well-supplied kitchen and bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable. The living areas were conducive to conversation, games and fun. The proximity to the ocean was great! We highly recommend this VRBO.

Nice clean and roomy

Great location near redwoods. Space was perfect for our needs (5 girlfriends). Host was very responsive. Only small complaint was the lumpy pillows in one of the bedrooms. Ping pong was a nice bonus. Overall great experience!

Great updated house in crescent city

We had a great stay. Comfy beds and room for all of us. We had 5 of us 10-78 and it was a great place for us to have a home base on our trip to see the redwoods. Close to town, the beach and state parks! Thank you to Joseph for all the help. What a wonderful host!!

This was a great space for a visit with extended family. The room configuration allowed for one group to be upstairs and another to be downstairs. The common area upstairs was fun to gather for playing ping pong and games, and the house was conveniently located for accessing the beach and town. Spectacular redwoods in Jedidiah Smith State Park were just a short drive away.

Clean and spacious

Set up like a hotel suite with mini soaps and towels on the foot of the bed. There are two living rooms so there was space for children to play while grownups visited. Close to everything!

The best part of our stay here was the comfortable beds. We appreciated the remodeled bathrooms and the kitchen. The neighborhood was less desirable. Overall the house was clean, but there was noticeable dust on the bed headboards, lamps, and floor. We loved the lighthouse which is only a few miles away.

Good location for Redwood Parks

This was a great location to venture out to the National Parks. Jedidiah Smith and Del Norte are both quite close. My family found the house comfortable with plenty of room for the five of us to spread out. The ping pong table upstairs was a big hit! The dining area and kitchen are very spacious. It was walkable to the waterfront and a cute little park. We chose to drive everywhere else in town including the marina to see the sea lions splashing and barking. We contacted the host a few times with questions and they were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location to see the Redwoods parks

Nice bedding and spacious accommodations. Plenty of towels including beach towels which were appreciated. Short walk to a nice rocky beach to watch the sunset. A few blocks away from Rumiano cheese factory which is a good place to grab a snack. Only complaint is there was a lot of trash left in the outside cans so whoever stayed last few times didnā€™t take the garbage to the street. We could barely fit our one bag in there. Everything else was great.

Loved Our Stay in Crescent City!

We had a fantastic stay in Crescent City! There was a hiccup with check-in, but it was in no way the owners' fault. They apologized and credited us one night. The home was super clean with lots of room. Earlier reviews mentioned lack of things to do in the place. When we were there, there was a ping pong table, DVDs (you can also use your streaming services), games, a puzzle, and a basket of toys for the kids. Quick walk to the beach. It's not a swimming beach, but full of cool rocks with tide pools close by. Owners were responsive and gave us suggestions of things to do. Would go back here in a heartbeat! Loved our stay and am missing it already.

OK Stay

Place was generally clean but not particularly welcoming. Well supplied with bath linens Lots of toys for children. The ping pong table was great! A few dated games and puzzles. Overall it was an ok place to stay. Definitely no extras. Be sure to take laundry supplies and a couple of extra dish towels (there were only two, and no drainer, so we needed more.) Two story property. There was a stair rail, but for someone with a visual impairment the stairs were difficult to navigate. Would benefit from a contrasting color of tape at stair step edges. Overall it suited our purpose.

At check-in, the floors were covered in a greasy, slippery residue, leaving footprints and turning our socks black. So dirty that I didn't want my young kids to play on the floor. After a long drive, cleaning someone else's grime is the last thing a guest should have to do, but I mopped the floors myself. The water that came up was filthy. Messaged the host who didn't apologize, instead demanded to know why the Wi-Fi was off. Said they'd never had an issue with dirty floors before but vaguely offered to 'rectify' it at checkout. Shoulda been a red flag. It took 1.5 to 2 hours to mop it all.We stayed for 5 nights. The rental was mediocre--no extras provided, only the bare minimum. Key kitchen items were missing, one roll of paper towels provided and not so much as a bottle of 409 to clean any surfaces. Signs taped up throughout with dos and don'ts. On a loud, busy street. Uncomfy couches, and maintenance issues like a leaky faucet and ants. None of these things are unforgivable per se, but they add up to an unwelcoming vibe.At checkout, the host gaslit us, telling us the cleaning crew cleaned the floors before we arrived (so we were imagining the grime we found?). Reluctantly offered a fraction of the cleaning fee back, since the crew 'does more than just mop'. Guests deserve better.The awful customer service overshadowed any good aspects of the rental. It was dirty at check-in, uncomfortable, and the host was indifferent to our experience. We wish we had stayed elsewhere.
