Couples Getaway on Lake Huron 2 miles south of the quaint town of Lexington

Tiny Home on beautiful Lake Huron just 2 miles south of the quaint town of Lexington Michigan. This property sits on a bluff overlooking Lake Huron which provides our guests an unobstructed view of passing freighters and stunning sunrises. The property sits on a 1/2 acre at the end of a quiet street with your own private beach surrounded by woods on one side. This warm and cozy Tiny home has large patio with plenty of covered outdoor living. We have a real wood fire pit and propane fire pit. Enjoy outdoor dining with grill, or have someone else cook for you at one of Lexington's many restaurants.

There are plenty of outdoor activities for everyone. We have Kayaks for rent, Giant Jenga, corn hole, and yard Yahtzee. If you have a boat you’ll be able to anchor out in front of your private beach or rent a slip in the Lexington harbor. RV/Campers are welcomed as the property has an electrical hook-up to park an RV/camper (extra charge). If your looking for a romantic getaway we can arrange a couples massage on the property, champagne, charcuterie board, and/or chocolates. Doreen is the BEST host... she is always so welcoming and kind and very communicative. The cottage is pristine and all the amenities and instructions were perfect. This is my third time coming to Millie's Place and it was as magical as ever.

Gorgeous lakefront property and such a peaceful stay! Honestly even nicer than the pictures can show. The hosts really go above and beyond to make a perfect getaway! Lots of seating outdoors to relax. Very clean and comfortable. Our dog loved the yard.

I’ve stayed in a lot of rental properties over the years and this one left me breathless. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s meticulously clean. The location is within perfect proximity to Lexington. We drove into town all but one day to get our morning coffee and the ride was only 5 mins. The view is unbeatable. The yard and outdoor space is beautiful. Our dog LOVED being able to run around and even got to make friends with the local celebrity - George the cat. The home itself is tiny as listed, but has everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. I’m a heavy set lady and had zero issues with the bathroom size or stairs down to beach (both of which I was a little nervous about). Doreen and Rick were perfect hosts. We knew they were there if we needed anything but otherwise let us enjoy a relaxing long weekend with our pup in solitude. It’s such a short trip from Metro Detroit, but we truly felt as though we were worlds away. We can’t wait to return and visit the house (and George) again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millie's Place. The cottage was outfitted with everything you could want and decorated beautifully. We enjoyed the sunrises, yard games and just relaxing, taking in the views. Our 2 dogs loved the expansive (fenced) yard. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Everything was amazing! Couldn’t ask for a better location. Although small the inside was very cozy and homey. The outdoor living area was perfect! We spent all day on the couch, listening to the sound of the waves and our dog absolutely loved the freedom of the fenced in yard. We will definitely keep this place on our radar to visit again!

Little getaway to unplug

The property was great for our little getaway, our dog loved going in the water. We didn't have great weather but Doreen had the porch covered with a clear tarp and had the outdoor heaters on when we got there so we were able to enjoy the view. It was a short drive to Lexington which was perfect. Definitely would stay again.

Amazing!

Small but mighty! This was the cleanest VRBO we have stayed in so far. The views are more than spectacular. The heated porch was perfect on the cooler days. We took a nap in the lounge chairs and used the propane fireplace. And let’s not forget George, the neighborhood cat! What a well behaved gentleman. If you’re a nature lover and like birds I highly recommend the roughly half hour drive to the Flynn Nature Preserve. The VRBO was just about 2 miles outside of Lexington which is a great little town to spend the day in. The beach there was unexpectedly nice. The hosts checked in on us to make sure we were doing ok and didn’t need anything else. We are planning on visiting here again!

This is our second year vacationing at this cottage! Love the private lake beach, fenced yard and quiet location! It was relaxing for us and our dogs as well. We were able to let them go swim and run around the yard without worry about other dogs ! Wonderful host ! House has everything we needed

Excellent Stay

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Millie's Place. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, and the view of Lake Huron was stunning. The cottage was extremely clean and we had everything we needed. Communication with Doreen was just right throughout the process. The clear tarps and heaters around the porch allowed us to be very comfortable on the porch even though it was cold and snowy during our visit. We hope to visit again during warmer weather!

Millie's Place was absolutely spotless and so comfortable. The PVC tarps on the porch were perfect for blocking the wind and held heat well. I would absolutely stay here again!

Very cozy getaway

This cozy getaway was the perfect escape from the chilly weather. The windows and enclosed patio offered stunning views of the lake and the snow-covered landscape. Every detail of the rental made for a truly relaxing getaway. We can't wait to return and visit with George!

Heaven on Lake Huron

Every year I go on a "me-treat" trip for a long weekend with my 2 doggies. This year I found this amazing couples cottage on a bluff overlooking Lake Huron. The cottage was PERFECT! Everything was exactly as described. The cottage was adorably decorated and perfectly appointed - I had everything I needed for cooking simple meals. The bed was cozy and comfortable. We spent most of our time relaxing on the porch which was enclosed with plastic and despite the cold and damp weather was completely comfortable. We loved watching the freighters on the horizon. The fenced property was perfect for my girlie dogs and my puppy got her first taste of the beach on the little private beach. Watch your curious pups as mine wanted to scale the 30ft cliff down to the water. Such a peaceful and relaxing property...I already booked for next year and hope for some sunny days!

Such a gorgeous and special getaway!

I have fallen in love with Millie's place! We came here a year ago with our Beagle Lab mix who was battling cancer. It's very healing here. I came back this past weekend to work on my mystery novel, based in Hope's Bay (my fictional town that I based Lexington on. Got so much work done in the heated covered porch. Even with cold and rain, it was so nice and cozy in there! Magical!

Amazing little property

Great views. Cute little one room cottage. Amazed at how the Murphy bed was one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Fenced in on 3 sides and right up against the lake our dog loved the freedom. Highly recommend.

My family has owned a cottage in Lexington for 53 years, which is where my husband and I now call home. My parents rented a cottage in the Lexington area for many years before they bought our place. My husband and I wanted to give the same opportunity to other families, to come and experience this amazing resort town. Maybe someday you’ll call Lexington home too.

This property sits on a 1/2 acre lot at the end of Roger Road. The cottage has 140 feet of water front on Lake Huron. You’ll seeing amazing sunrises, and if your lucky enough to stay during a full moon - you’ll see a moon rising over the water. It’s a beautiful sight to see.

Your own private beach with Kayaks to rent. The Property even has room to park an RV, with electrical hook up. This is an additional rental option. Lots of covered outdoor living space with 2 fire pits - propane and wood burning.
