Rent a Ranch House and the Guest House

Whether you want to tour the Hill Country Wineries, enjoy spectacular and private bird watching, find adventure at some great Texas Lakes, or get the kiddos away from the screens, our Ranch will provide the perfect home base for you, your girlfriends, or your family. The Ranch, and our guesthouse, is an easy 40 minute drive to the perennially ā€œweirdā€ city of Austin, the beautiful Horseshoe Bay, and a quick 20 minute jaunt to the breathtaking Inks Lake or fishing at Lake Buchanan.

The property has a main house with wrap-around porch and great natural light and a separate, newly renovated guest house. The set-up is perfect for multiple families traveling together.

The main house has two bedrooms, the master with a king size bed and a guest room with a full size and twin size bed and sleeps 5. A toddler mattress is available too.

The guest house has a private entrance and requires the use of indoor stairs to access. The large space is a fully open suite with a king size bed and full size bed. The space sleeps 4 adults or a family of 5 comfortably. Many families with three kids use the space and we provide bedding for the couch (it is not a pullout) which is comfy for kids or teens.

The pool and covered outdoor kitchen are for the exclusive use of our guests. Feel like taking a walk? Our private trails are perfect for a wooded stroll - wildlife included!

Interested in hosting a small party or event at the Ranch? Message us! We are open to discuss possibilities. We have a covered 40x60 pavilion with limestone fireplace and an outdoor bar plus extra restrooms. Parties must be pre-authorized or may incur an additional charge.

The Ranch is truly an escape... with views of pastures and rolling hills, and most importantly the big and bright stars of Texas.

Our Ranch has lots of animals! From cows to foxes, there are plenty of furry and feathered residents. Painted buntings, cardinals, and humming birds love to visit our feeders. You never know when you will see deer, rabbits, or raccoons taking advantage of our wooded spaces as well!

Riser Ranch is perfect for ladies' groups, families traveling together, or even small events.

The Ranch has security cameras by the entrance and facing the driveway.

This property was incredibly clean. Everything felt fresh and new. The kitchen has everything you could need and I loved all the extra touches that Sarah includes in the property. Lovely setting in the country and I would definitely stay here again.

Great getaway!

We went with our 12 and 14 year old to unplug. Everything was perfect and we enjoyed getting away from the city and enjoying all the extra fun this stay had to offer! We will definitely be back!

Perfect Get-Away

This was the perfect place to get-away together and enjoy spending time swimming, eating and relaxing with one another. The property is remote enough to feel secluded, but still only 15 minutes from a good grocery store. The hosts offered a lot of extras on the site, like outdoor games, the gazebo with the swing, and plenty of other little areas with rockers or loungers where we could sit out and enjoy the property. Clyde the Emu was a big hit with our group. :-)

Beautiful Guest House and Property!

My sister & I stayed here for a sister weekend and simply didnā€™t want to leave! The owners created a Guest House thatā€™s so beautiful and comfortable. The views were incredibly peaceful and serene! We loved walking trails in the wooded area, relaxing on the swing in the gazebo (which overlooked the pasture and livestock including Clyde the Emu!) and enjoyed sipping wine poolside in the evenings looking at the stars. Canā€™t wait to come back and try out the outdoor kitchen! Thank you for such a fabulous weekend! Weā€™ll be back!

40 And Fabulous!

The moment we arrived for my 40th celebration, we were greeted with some goodies from our host. I also received a gift as well. A lovely cup that was made with 40 And Fabulous stenciled on it! It's little touches like this that made our girls weekend getaway one to remember. The house is fully stocked with all the amenities you will need. The only thing you need to bring is the food you will be making there and drinks you will be enjoying. The beds were very comfortable and so was the lounging furniture. It stormed for most of the time we were there so we made use of the smart TV and watched some Netflix. We were all very comfortable and were able to enjoy each other's company. We will definitely be back to enjoy the pool we didn't get to use because of the weather. Make sure and ask for "Clyde" when you arrive. He is the resident emu and enjoys being fed. The Riser Ranch is a great retreat and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away to the country.

Covid-Safe Country Paradise

Our family has been isolated since March of 2020 and a few days at Riser Ranch was exactly what we needed. We loved exploring the expansive property, hiking on the well-maintained trails, cooling off in the beautifully maintained pool, and unwinding in the well-appointed houses. Our kids found a new friend in Clyde the Emu, who is definitely the gem of the property! The owners take excellent care of the land and homes; go the extra mile to keep guests safe and comfortable during this challenging time; and are wonderful communicators. We canā€™t wait to return!

A perfect weekend escape!

We had the most wonderful girls weekend at this property! The space itself exceeded our expectations and was very well equipped (kitchen, games, blankets/pillows). The outside pool area was clean and beautiful - the night time lights were an awesome addition as well! We loved wandering the trails and being greeted by the chickens, Clyde (emu), and dogs. The hosts were nothing short of amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We will definitely be back!

Cute Ranch Getaway

My husband and three boys stayed in this adorable ranch apartment for two nights and my kiddos loved it. Itā€™s very clean and decorated super cute. The apartment has everything you need, and we were able to prepare all our meals with no issues. There is plenty to do around the property. My boys enjoyed walking the trails on the property (there are some hidden surprises out there), feeding Clyde the emu, seeing the chickens and swimming a lot! Robin, the property manger, lives on site and is super helpful with any questions or anything you might need. Keep in mind, the pool is in back of Robinā€™s residence, but we didnā€™t ever see her unless we needed her :) All in all, a great little place to unplug! Or not, because they have WiFi and a smart TV :)

Excellent getaway

We really enjoyed the peaceful setting and our daughter especially loved the beautiful pool. The room was extremely comfortable with superb decor and comfy bedding. We all wish we could have stayed longer and plan to return. We couldnā€™t get the propane grill or the DVD player to work, but our stay was so short we didnā€™t want to bother the caretakers. We pan-fried our steaks and enjoyed a Netflix film instead. Perfect evening. They were so friendly and Iā€™m 100% certain they would have fixed any issue had we asked. Highly recommend!

Hidden Gem in Bertram!

Our family of 5 had an amazing time spending a weekend together before dropping the kids off at Camp Longhorn. The lodging was clean and came with everything (including snacks that the kids ate), the pool was fun and the hiking trails were so much fun. My kids loved feeding Clyde (the emu on site) and hearing the roosters crow! A nice break from the city for our family. WIll definitely be back!

the stay here was exceptional. it was very clean, very spacious, the host accommodated our every need. there were plenty of things to do, whether you wanted to enjoy the pool, cook out, take a day nap at the ranch, or walk the ranch. the hosts have everything prepared in case you did want to visit and interact with the animals on the ranch. again, perfect getaway, perfect hosts. definitely saving this to visit again. thank you Brett and Robin! and thank you for the fresh dozen eggs for our departure!

Perfection!

This property is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all! We were surprised by an adult beverage and snacks upon our arrival. The apartment had everything we needed and was spotlessly cleaned! The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, TV and Bluetooth speakers kept us entertained on a rainy Sunday. We had access to everything on the ranch during our stay. We used the sparkling clean pool, bird watched, laughed at the chickens and roosters, fed the emu corn which was provided by the owner, took pictures of the longhorns in the pasture and relaxed! Robin and her husband lived in the main house and checked on us throughout our stay. They were kind and welcoming! They gave us a dozen fresh eggs for breakfast and ice for our cooler before we departed. We will be back!

Gorgeous Central Texas Staycation Spot

My friends and I had an excellent time feeding Clyde the emu and enjoying the scenery. The ranch is so peaceful. We had a great time hanging out at the pool, and felt so relaxed and comfortable that we spent even more time than expected just chilling inside. The indoor space is perfect: very clean, comfortable, and cute. The hosts were very generous allowing us to stay a few hours past check out time. We will be back! Thanks again.

Better Than Advertised

The listing doesn't do this property justice. It was obviously recently remodeled with new furnishings, modern amenities, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, cold AC and great water pressure. The pool and cabana were pristine. We enjoyed swimming, grilling, sitting in the gazebo, walking the paths, watching the longhorns, feeding the emu, and playing Jenga and Cornhole. As bikers, we appreciated the covered parking and central access to beautiful hill country rides. We will definitely be back!
