Set on one of the world's most famous trout rivers, this cozy, well-appointed cabin has epic mountain views across from the stunning Palisades, a natural cliff ledge teeming with wildlife, and home to some of the Madison River's best fishing. Private fishing access is a short walk to the river's edge and there are miles of easy, public access throughout the picturesque Madison Valley. Historic attractions, outdoor adventures, and a variety of dining options are just a scenic drive away, including Ennis. MT, Earthquake Lake, & Yellowstone National Park.

This a beautiful place with a stunning location and the view of the palisades was breathtaking. The guest cabin is impeccable and supplied with every thoughtful amenity--from a well-appointed kitchen to the bathrobes and fresh cookies. Our host was exceptionally warm and gracious. We loved our stay and can't wait to return to the beautiful Madison Valley.

Restful, serene, comfortable. Studio had quality amenities. Location so close to the river. Views were spectacular. Hosts(s) were genial and accommodating. Would return here in the future

Nicely located between Ennis and West Yellowstone..Chris gave excellent info on fishing access.Terri communicates very well and is caring.I would stay here again.

Lovely getaway

The safari cabin is a beautiful home away from home in a wonderful setting. Chris and Terri were very helpful with local knowledge and were great hosts.

What a wonderful place and stay!!!

Went to this area to fly fish with a guide and play some golf. Terri’s cabin was immaculately clean and beautifully designed. She was extremely pleasant, available but never intrusive and went above and beyond to ensure we had one of our best stays ever. Also you simply can not beat the beauty of the area. We will go back for sure!

Safari Cabin in Montana

This is a jewel of a cabin! The view across the Palisades was so impressive. Great care was taken in the decorating and amenities provided. The hosts were very informative about the area and available if we needed anything. We definitely want to come back and stay longer.

Great place!

This is a great place to stay! It was easy to find, check in process was very easy. Nice river access. I would recommend this place to anybody I know that are heading up that way. 5 stars in my book!

Loved this property! Unbeatable location on the Madison river. Amenities of property are awesome, and the owners may be the nicest people in Montana. Putting it on our return list!

Majestic Montana

This is a beautiful place to stay. It is well appointed and clean. The pictures are accurate.The hosts are responsive and easy to communicate with. The location gives you the expansive feeling of Montana, yet it is an easy drive to Yellowstone National Park, Ennis or Virginia City. It is also a great location for fly fishing!

Nice Break with great host!

I recently decided to take a break from a long career before starting another chapter. Decided to go to Montana to fish and regroup. I was fortunate enough to come across this property listing and am very happy I did. The property was perfect, great location to enjoy the river and both Terri and Chris were super nice people. Property was spotless, private and very comfortable. Would strongly recommend!

Gorgeous and relaxing stay!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was well equipped for all our needs and lots of cookware/utensils if you plan to have some meals there. Also, the beds were very comfortable and the cabin was very clean and nice. A couple things to note, this cabin is about 200-300 yards from the river. You can walk there through grass about 2 feet high for the last 50-100 yards. Also, the cabin is connected to the owner's house by the garage only. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back to Montana soon!

Amazing property

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Safari Cabin. We didn’t want to leave! Terri and Chris are gracious hosts and the property is stunning. The cabin contains everything needed for a short or extended stay and is beautifully decorated. The beds are super comfortable. The view of the river and range are a bonus. We saw antelope and elk every day. The cabin is an easy 40 minute drive to Yellowstone and even closer to Ennis and Virginia City. Several great restaurants are close by. Awesome place to stay for sightseeing, hiking, and fly fishing adventures.

Wonderful!

Terri called me ahead of check-in to make sure we had the right directions, which was much appreciated as Google Maps doesn't take you to the right place! The guest cabin was wonderful, well stocked, very clean and private as well. Beautiful location near the Madison River. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, exotic, peaceful

We checked in just before dark and we had no problem finding the place. Terri was great to work with and called to check on us earlier in the day with directions and extra landmarks if we needed them. The cabin was exactly as it was advertised. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of pillows. There is no AC but we opened the windows in the evening and slept wonderfully. There's no light pollution, there's no noise, and there was a breeze each day. The view is gorgeous, access to the river is easy, and the day trips we could take were numerous. My husband was able to fish in four rivers, several streams, and a few other places in just 4 days. And I think part of the highlight of staying there was the mama bear with two cubs that ran across the road in front of us as we were coming home one evening just down from the turn off. So there are bears there in September. The area is full of history and the beauty is quite magnificent. We definitely would stay there again.

Beautiful Vacation Rental

What a perfect place to stay while on vacation in the Madison River valley. Terri was very responsive and helpful with our questions and is a gracious host. The house is immaculate and all of the wildlife are incredible treasures. Being in the middle between Ennis and West Yellowstone makes it very convenient for fishing and site seeing. Highly recommended and hope to stay again in the future!

Madison River retreat

Terri’s home and property were breathtaking. This home is perfectly placed along the eastern bank of the Madison river with an incredible view of the bluffs on the adjacent hillside. This place and it’s view are what I dream of retiring to! Terri was an excellent host and made things very clear upon arrival so there was no confusion or guessing about the order of things. Will definitely be looking to book again for a fishing trip in the future! 5 stars!!

Fishing Heaven

We had a lovely stay at the cabin. Very clean and decor fit the Montana country. Easy walk to the Madison River to fly fish. The Hosts, Chris and Terri, were knowledgeable and delightful. The scenery was awesome as well as the peace and quiet. We had everything we needed for a six day stay. Simply it was a pleasure to stay at "The Cabin".

The Real Montana
