Very comfortable, beautiful house for a group of friends or family. Located on Ottertail Lake. Common areas for guests to gather are very spacious. All of us thought it was perfect for a gathering.

Really cool house.

This house was set up perfectly for a large family. We had some bad weather that kept us indoors for a day. Lots of space and things to do inside. Large kitchen/family room, pool table, tv room, game room, and sitting room. Something for everyone, and enough space to find quiet time if you needed it. 5 stars.

This place has a beautiful beach a huge lot very nicely taken care of house and yard. We had a blast. Thanks. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Great family get away!

We absolutely loved this property! We had 4 very small children with us and the house was able to accommodate all of us and had the most beautiful spaces for us all to hang out! There was plenty of space rooms for our littles to sleep with out be woken up by each other! The water was beautiful and so relaxing! Highly recommend

Family weekend

This house sleeps more than listed. We were able to find a bed for all 19 family members and still had some we didn’t use instead of sending them down the road to a hotel to sleep.

Family reunion

This property is spacious...perfect for the whole family. Very clean and modern design. Lake is CLEAR CLEAR with a sandy bottom The location is ideal...clise to groceries, restaurants and outdoor recreation areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay. Will be back.

Bliss!

This property was beautiful. BEAUTIFUL! High quality finishes and loads of space to spread out. While we only stayed for three days during a period where the weather was still chilly, you could see how clean and beautiful the lake was. This is a must-stay, quiet lake property that is designed for family, friends and large groups. Can’t wait to come back!! Did I mention we LOVED it??!

This is a beautiful property. The sandy beach and shallow lake area makes it perfect for young children. The house is showing its age however. Here are things we noticedDyson vacuum was broken. Started but cut off after a minute of use.Lack of dish towels and dish rags. The 3 towels were not adequate. There are 4 butter knives in the house. We had to share for the 6 adults in our group. The outdoor maintenance needs attention. Driveway and walks needed blowing. We did this ourselves. To the right of the front door is a child’s sand bucket filled with cigarette buts. That is just plain gross. The primary en-suite bath has a toilet seat that is too small. It doesn’t match the toilet. While these are small items, they show a lack of detail in the property.

Post wedding getaway

We rented this property on short notice following a snafu on a reservation on another property. It could not have worked out better. The property was beautiful. There was plenty of room for our group and we were also able to host a brunch for relatives and friends in the OtterTail area. Our grandchildren spent hours enjoying the beach. We are so pleased that this property was available.

Beautiful lake Otter Tail

This property is stunning. It is showing some signs of needing maintenance. We came in after a very large group. We were short on dishwasher detergent and trash bags. Fire pit was chipped. Several broken blinds. The lake is beautiful. Sandy bottom.

The good and the bad

Simply put, the Vrbo stay was outstanding. The title of the house “ Incredible Home on Ottertail Lake” is exactly what it is. The photos don’t do justice to how magnificent this house is. The entry way is grand and then each room is so elegantly decorated and inviting that you instantly fall in love. From the 2 master suites, the 2 queen bedrooms and a bonus bedroom for four, this home is perfect for large family gatherings. There is plenty to do (theater room, pool table, enjoy the lake, even a pinball machine to name a few) and the home provides the space. The appliances are top-notch and every anyone could need is at the home already. We booked through Vrbo and the house is ran by another rental company that was great to work with. They were attentive to our messages/phone calls and were willing to work with us. Their professionalism AND understanding goes above any praise that I could give. The Bad part- Honestly nothing. The pictures and descriptions of the house do not do justice for this home. It is an incredible home. We will definitely return to this location for three reasons: 1) the house is large enough for large families and everyone has room, 2) the company was great to work with with zero complaints, 3) we looked and stayed at other homes on the lake and this one beats them all…easily. The home is updated, clean, comfortable to be in and large enough to relax.

Beautiful house on gorgeous lake

Overall there are no complaints and I would absolutely stay here again. The house is older but underwent a major beautiful renovation to the degree of looking and feeling modern. Kitchen and great room: -open and airy with fantastic light and views to the lake with easy access to backyard fostered togetherness but not crowding. Numerous seating options whether at the island, enormous sofa, cocktail tables by the pool table, or the lounge table at the center of it all. As everyone else has mentioned, the "hidden" pantry was quite nice indeed. Only complaint of the space is more the lack of clarity regarding the pantry. There were handwritten notes regarding owners items (in fridge and shelves) that were not to be used. This is perfectly understandable but it was unclear whether this second fridge could be utilized at all (haphazard items were in the fridge and freezer). We did decide to use it since the main fridge was otherwise not large enough for our 6 night stay--we simply moved the owners' items to ensure they were not used. House layout: -overall, I felt it was fantastic with regard to separate living and sleeping areas, separated by the foyer. The master on the main level (where I slept) was enormous with excellent climate control. However the upstairs where the other rooms are located were all much warmer and everyone who slept there mentioned that it was a bit uncomfortable at night, exacerbated by not daring to open the windows (some had handwritten notes not to open) and the ones we attempted seemed to too easily fall off the crank arm, so we did not open them to avoid breaking anything. The dual zone A/c serves the main living and the sleeping halves of the house, but no dedicated upper level zone (hence the warm upper level). One room has an awkward layout with the main bedroom and 2 additional rooms with beds. Not great for privacy if unaccustomed groups are staying in those beds. Office: was used as a bedroom. I was told that murphy bed was uncomfortable (air mattress was used instead). None of the outlets worked--no circuit breakers were tripped. Garage: - spacious and clean Grounds: -I felt that this was the best part of the rental, itself. Beautiful and spacious front and back yards. Level backyard with direct access to the lake and dock. Lake -best part overall of this location, hands down. Lake clarity was impressive and temperature just right. Rented pontoon from NBL marine 20 min down the road. They were fantastic

Beautiful views, so spacious inside and out (even better than the pictures!), sandy beach, loved the decor and pantry, plenty of parking - only drawbacks were it was warm upstairs and there are only 3 1/2 bathrooms and 2 of the bathrooms are in bedrooms, so we had 10 people basically sharing the hallway bathroom and 1/2 bathroom downstairs. Suggestions would be to get dual zone air conditioning and convert the closet off the kids bedroom into a bathroom - now that would be perfect!!!

Amazing

This property is a must if you have small children or late/early sleepers. The upstairs sleeping areas seemed sound proof from the family area. We would stay up playing cards and the kids would be upstairs sleeping and not be bothered. Our early morning risers never disturbed or late sleepers. The master bedroom upstairs does need frosted glass on the door, I was in this room and taking a shower and going to the closet you walk in front of the doors for any one in the upstairs hall to see you. You also could not fill the tub in the master with out running out of hot water, so a tankless hot water heater would be great. The view of the lake was awesome. The family space is just huge the pictures do not show this. I was expecting a little less space and was very surprised with the space. We would definitely use this property again if we had another family gathering in this area. Five stars

Great spot for groups

This Ottertail house is really ideal for groups- there are plenty of rooms, corners, and spaces for folks to spread out and do their things, whether it's taking a quiet soaking bath, getting some laptop work done, watching a movie, reading in the sunlight, or playing pool and making dinner. There's tons of space. We had a bit of initial confusion getting into the house (door codes), but Darin was very responsive and quick, and we got it sorted in no time. My group was in the area to do some music workshops in New York Mills and we had a bit of a change of plans with our schedule, and Darin was understanding and accommodating. The stay was comfortable, and check out was a breeze. I would absolutely book this place again. Thanks!

Very nice luxurious place!

Excellent place for gathering. Didnt know you needed to go through one of the queen bedroom to get to the bedroom with bunks but that didn't matter to us. Excellent parking for boats with plenty of outlets to charge them. Would love to return when water levels on otter tail rises. One of the guys managed to haul in a huge 55inch plus sturgeon! Lakes around here just transitioned into fall bite! What a LEGENDARY trip and stay this was!

Annual Family Vacation

We vacation for a week every summer with our children and spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchild - 14 in all. This house was perfect - very roomy, great kitchen (love the hidden pantry!), and very nice outdoor area. Location is great - close to stores and restaurants. Everyone agreed that this house ranks at or near the top of properties we have stayed at.
