We really lucked into this apartment! Wonderful location, a good kitchen for cooking, and a helpful guide left by the landlord. We used both bedrooms as we have no illusions about sharing a double bed, Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat, but I think this is the last year our knees can do the two floors of circular stairs. Thanks, William and Anne!!!!

Amandus We had a great stay at Amandus - the location is perfect for exploring Rouen with lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The apartment itself was very cosy and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Thanks for a great visit!

Super apartment, saw a very nice welcome note merci! Very comfortable we enjoyed our short stay there for 2 nights as we were visiting my aunt and cousins. The neighborhood was quite pleasant with beautiful architecture throughout. We met one of my daughters’s friends for a walk to of course la boulangerie for pain au chocolat so delicious, and to a cafe nearby. The apartment is close to everything. Would definitely stay there again. Merci beaucoup!

Amandus We are so glad that we stayed here, we loved it! It was wonderful to have two bedrooms. The common area is also delightful. The location was perfect as we wanted to explore the cathedrals and Joan of Arc and we walked everywhere, and there are many restaurants around. Everything was clean and William helped us carry our bags. We would highly recommend and would stay here again!

Location, location, location! This place has it.

Nice, clean apartment in historic section of Rouen. This would be a particularly good choice for a group looking for an active night life. Listing needs to be corrected - there is one full bathroom with shower only, and finding parking near this apartment would be very problematic.

I admit that the price was reasonable however, there were two flights of spiral stairs to get to the unit. The unit was cute but very basic. On the first morning our shower over flowed flooding the bathroom floor. I emailed the owner but did not hear anything. We used the very limited towels to mop up the mess. Used extraordinary care and dealt with the situation. Unfortunately and unknown to us, there is a very popular night club directly below the unit across the alley. Two nights in a row the dance party went on until 5:00am. Sleep was difficult to say the least. Best thing, the unit was in the middle of the historic district and most points of interest were walkable. Also, it is right in between two fabulous but not obvious restaurants which we totally enjoyed. Just wish we had known what we were in for…

Hello Mary Ellen, thank you for taking the time to write to us. We are surprised by your comment, as we usually receive very positive feedback about the Amandus. The flat is indeed very well located, in the medieval historic quarter, which explains why the staircase might be a little narrow. All the information you mention is included in the listing or in the welcome booklet sent to you prior to your arrival. We do hope, however, that you had a pleasant stay in Rouen.

Slim services...

We were shocked! Only coffee, tea and salt! Very little toilet paper, hardly any dish soap, no laundry soap. We had to buy javel to clean the shower. The towels were stiff and some smelly! Location was amazing! The apartment needs renos and the entrance is quite aged and not welcoming!

Amandus "Comfortable short stay 🙂 Great location to visit Rouen city centre with everything in walking distance; apartment was comfortable and clean for our two night stay; easy to access the apartment - arrival and departure; information pack available; WIFI and smart TV; toiletry packs a nice touch. Interesting to find out that the owner is an author! Loads of interesting books in the apartment with some being over 100 years old. 🙁 Nothing we didn’t like but worth pointing out these items - one cannot drive up to the apartment to unload and load but we managed to find parking not too far away from the apartment ( need to pay 9am to 9pm with Sunday free); there was one towel short; the toilet seat and ‘running’ toilet needs attention. Hardly any shops open on a Sunday!"
