Summary:
Bring the whole crew to Avventura Chalet, a 5 bedroom Snowline retreat near Mt. Baker with a private hot tub, basement rec room, fireplace, spacious kitchen, deck with BBQ, and seasonal community pool access. Three floors give families and groups room to gather, spread out, and settle into mountain time.
The Space:
Welcome to Avventura Chalet, a spacious 5 bedroom mountain retreat in Snowline, one of Glacier’s most loved gated communities near Mt. Baker. With three levels of living space, a private hot tub, basement rec room, fireplace, large deck, BBQ, and seasonal community pool access, this home is made for group trips that feel easy, comfortable, and memorable.
This is the kind of home that works beautifully for families, ski weekends, summer hiking trips, and friends who want to stay together without feeling crowded. The layout gives everyone room to spread out, while the shared spaces bring the group back together for meals, movies, hot tub nights, and slow mornings by the fire.
The main floor is the heart of the home, with a comfortable living room, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, dining space, and access to the deck with BBQ, hot tub, and propane gas fire table. It is warm, practical, and designed for the way groups actually travel: cooking together, gathering after a day outside, and having enough space for everyone to relax.
Downstairs, the basement rec room gives the home a second hangout zone with board games, a Smart TV, and space for movie nights or kid-friendly downtime. It is a huge perk for multi family groups because it gives everyone options. Adults can linger upstairs by the fireplace while the kids, teens, or night owls claim the rec room.
The sleeping layout is spread across three floors for privacy and separation:
Basement Level:
Two queen bedrooms, plus the rec room and movie lounge.
Main Floor:
One queen bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, fireplace, and deck access.
Upper Floor:
One queen bedroom and one full/double bedroom, plus a second full bathroom.
Outside, enjoy the private hot tub after skiing, hiking, mountain biking, or exploring the North Cascades. In the warmer months, the deck becomes an easy extension of the home with outdoor dining, BBQ meals, and evenings under the trees.
Guests also have access to Snowline community amenities, including the seasonal outdoor pool, clubhouse, tennis courts, playground, open field, walking paths, and nearby river access areas. Pool access is seasonal and typically available in summer, depending on weather and community schedule. Per HOA guidelines, up to 6 guests from the home may use the pool at one time.
Snowline is a peaceful gated community in Glacier, Washington, close to the Mt. BakerSnoqualmie National Forest and about 25–30 minutes from Mt. Baker Ski Area. It is one of the best basecamps in the area for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, rafting, mountain biking, river walks, and quiet forest time.
Good to Know:
Parking is limited to 3 vehicles in the driveway. Snowline does not allow road parking, and all vehicles must be fully parked in the driveway. In winter, AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended, as the driveway is sloped and mountain weather can bring snow and ice.
High speed WiFi is available, making the home a good option for streaming, planning adventures, or staying connected. As with any mountain community, occasional service interruptions can happen.
We recommend stocking up on groceries in Bellingham before heading up. Local markets and restaurants are available along Highway 542, but options are limited compared to town.
Avventura Chalet is for guests who want more than a place to sleep. It is a warm, spacious mountain home where groups can gather well, settle in, and make the kind of Mt. Baker memories that become tradition.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole home. Community swimming pool now open to guests mid week from May-September. Inquire for specific dates and details.
The Neighborhood:
Welcome to Snowline Community Club, a peaceful gated mountain community nestled in the forest of Glacier, Washington. Located along the border of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, Snowline is an ideal basecamp for exploring Mt. Baker, the North Cascades, and the year round beauty of the Glacier area.
Guests love Snowline’s quiet, park like setting with towering evergreens, fresh mountain air, private walking paths, nature trails, scenic river access areas, a playground, open field, and a seasonal outdoor heated pool, typically open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
Adventure is just minutes away, including hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, and scenic drives. Mt. Baker Ski Area is approximately 25 to 30 minutes away, with Artist Point, Heliotrope Ridge, and Skyline Divide nearby.
After a day on the mountain or in the forest, return to the calm of Snowline and unwind under beautiful starlit skies. It is the perfect blend of privacy, nature, family friendly amenities, and Mt. Baker adventure.

Other Things to Note:
**Technology, Wi-Fi & Cell Service**
As of 2025, our Mt. Baker-area homes now have high speed fiber internet, making it easier for guests to work remotely, stream favorite shows, check in with work, or stay connected while enjoying a peaceful mountain getaway.
The home includes free WiFi and a smart TV for streaming your favorite subscription channels. Please note that streaming subscriptions are not included, so guests will need to log in with their own accounts.
Cell service can still be limited in Glacier and the surrounding mountain communities depending on your carrier, though some guests find service near the Mt. Baker Ski Area.
While fiber internet has greatly improved connectivity in the area, this is still a rural mountain community where service can occasionally be impacted by storms, power outages, falling trees, weather, or regional service interruptions. These circumstances are beyond our control, and we are unable to offer refunds or discounts due to WiFi outages, speed, or service disruptions.
We recommend downloading your driving directions, check-in instructions, trail maps, and any must have entertainment before arrival, just in case mountain weather or service interruptions decide to make an appearance.
**Mountain Living, Wildlife, Weather & Local Area Notes**
This home is located in a lush mountain rainforest near the base of Mt. Baker. One of the most beautiful parts of staying here is being surrounded by towering trees, fresh air, wildlife, changing weather, and nature in every direction.
Because this is a rural mountain environment, we share the area with forest critters both large and small. From ants and bats to mice, raccoons, bears, and bobcats, we do everything possible to keep nature outside where it belongs, but guests should expect that this is not a city setting. Please help us protect the home and local wildlife by keeping doors closed, storing food indoors, and never leaving food, coolers, or garbage outside. To wildlife, anything left outside can look like a free meal.
The mountains offer incredible beauty in every season, but predictable weather is not one of them. Please come prepared for changing conditions, including warm summer days, heavy rain in the spring and fall, and snow, ice, and freezing temperatures in the winter. During the winter months, we strongly recommend bringing a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle, as snow and ice can make mountain roads, neighborhood roads, and driveways challenging.
Power outages and regional service interruptions can happen from time to time due to storms, snow, wind, falling trees, or other mountain conditions. These situations are outside of our control, and we do not offer refunds or discounts for loss of power, internet, or weather-related conditions.
We also recommend arriving prepared with groceries and provisions. Large grocery runs are best done in Bellingham before heading up the mountain, about 45 minutes away. There are a few small, locally owned markets and grocery stops along Mt. Baker Highway, and restaurants in the Glacier and Mt. Baker area are limited, with seasonal hours that may vary during slower times of year.
Come prepared, settle in, and enjoy the slower pace of mountain life.
