Waterfront Apartment with Fantastic Views

We call this recently renovated luxury apartment Hale Kai, which is Hawaiian for 'Sea House.' It is fully furnished and has spectacular views of Rock Creek, which joins the Patapsco River and the Chesapeake Bay.

Relax out on your own large deck and watch the boating activity and wildlife in a very quiet and peaceful setting. Come by land or by sea -- we have boat slips available at our dock.

Enjoy spectacular sunrise views and go swimming off the end of our dock. You can also bring your kayak or canoe and explore the many unique coves and enjoy the unforgettable sights of Rock Creek. We have one canoe for our guests to use.

This is a second floor apartment that has its own entrance. Please be aware that there are 19 steps going up to the apt. We live in the main house directly below. The location is ideal - close to historic Annapolis and Baltimore, BWI and about an hour to Washington, DC (if you avoid rush hours). It is ideal for a family getaway, an anniversary, a sight seeing base of operations, or business related activities.

The apartment is not a B&B, it is a 'B' (we may add the other B later).

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and a grill on your deck.

There are a few restaurants within walking distance and many more restaurants and supermarkets close by. Some restaurants offer home delivery (menus provided).

Wonderful view of the water. Sally was a wonderful host and has clearly put a lot of care into the property. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Kids enjoyed the dock and decks. Great location.

We truly enjoyed our peaceful stay at this waterfront apartment. Clean, quiet, spacious with wonderfully comfortable furniture(indoor and out) to relax, unwind, read. It was close enough to Annapolis for our day excursions to U.S. Naval Academy, Boat show, Navy/AF football game! It was great to have such a peaceful place to return to after our busy days and my husband enjoyed canoeing as well. The hosts were lovely. Thank you Sally! We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely incredible property and hostess! Directions were easy to follow and Sally communicated ahead of time. The property was just like the photos, idyllic and right by the water. As stated in the listing, there is a flight of stairs to get to the apt; not an issue for us but could be an issue for some. Sally's apartment was well stocked with everything we needed and more! It was spotless on our arrival and she checked in with us during the stay which was a great touch. Would definitely stay here again if I was back in the area!

Water, Water Everywhere

The set-up is excellent. Waterfront property with excellent views. If you are looking for a place where you can relax, unwind, and have privacy, this is the place for you. The 2 bedroom apartment is kept super clean and the furniture, including a comfortable bed, well kept. The appliances are modern.The owner is helpful in suggesting restaurants, places to visit, and things to do. We appreciated the fresh flowers the owner thoughtfully placed throughout the house, and the choclate. We hope to return.

Pleasant stay at the Hale Kai

We spent a lovely few days at the Hale Kai. A spacious two bedroom property with a lovely waterfront view. Sally is a gracious and thoughtful host whose special touches included fresh flowers in every room and a dish of chocolates. I will reserve again on future trips to Pasadena.

Maryland Yacht Club across Rock Creek

Every morning coffee on the second level deck watching wildlife and the amazing view on Rock Creek. We came to Maryland to celebrate our son Philipā€™s birthday. I grew up on Rock Creek on a houseboat back in the 50ā€™s at the MYC and staying here brought back so many memories. And Sally & Larry took us over to see the yacht club on Wednesday because they are members. Thank you so much. We enjoyed our 7 days there plus our favorite restaurants were close by.

Perfect location

Close to Baltimore, short drive to Annapolis and DC. We visited Baltimore area for a lacrosse game but did not want a hotel. This was the perfect respite. Very clean! Donā€™t expect fancy. Do expect quiet solitude with a beautiful view. The owners are very accommodating. They are on site but we did not even run into each other. We asked if we could swim off the dock. They were so accommodating! Even brining out a swim ladder and safety bouy for us. They even allow guests to use their canoe.

Graduation weekend

Such a beautiful location and so near my daughter's home. We enjoyed our stay especially the mornings, sitting on the deck with coffee in hand. The living room area was very cozy and looking out to the water was very peaceful. Thank you so much Sally, for sharing your place!

A beautiful Oasis

We spent a week at Sally and Larry's place and had a great time. The views of the water from the windows and deck are fantastic. We had a lot of fun visiting with our daughters at the table by the water and playing games in the evening. My husband and daughter also enjoyed going out in the canoe. The place is so well furnished and Sally and Larry make you feel very comfortable. We loved the special touches like the books, chocolates, and fresh-cut flowers. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful and Peaceful

We were in the area to visit our son who is a professional baseball player. The apartment is very comfortable, and the deck is large and peaceful with beautiful views. Within 30 minutes there are many things to do and locally there are a couple of good places to eat. We had meals in different places daily and we were not disappointed Sally and Larry are welcoming owners and very attentive.
