Escape to nature in the Rustic Retreat Cabin

This Rustic Retreat offers traditional northern knotty pine interior while offering most modern amenities. Sleeps a total of six persons in two queen bedrooms featuring 12ā€ memory foam mattresses and a queen sofa sleeper. Propane heat, electric throughout, kitchen with gas range, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Includes kitchen utensils, pots and pans, dishes and silverware, and an outdoor deck with gas grill. There is a bathroom with vanity and shower but no indoor toilet. It does have a new, clean, privy outside the door.
Bed linens, bath towels, and kitchen towels are included.
Because of its remoteness, there is no TV or WIFI. There is now limited call service in our area for calls and texting. This is a non-smoking cabin.

Please note that this cabin is powered by solar power so please no electric cooking devices or fans other than those provided. CPAPS are allowed so please feel free to bring you if needed.

This cabin rents from May 1st to October 31st and requires a four night minimum rental.

Culhane Lake Resort is an off the grid hamlet of four rental cabins that have been recently renovated to offer modern comforts. Culhane Lake Resort is pet friendly.

By booking this reservation guests acknowledge that they have reviewed and agree to the terms of our Vacation Rental Agreement. This is a non-smoking cabin.

Guests are charged a minimal cleaning fee to cover costs of cleaning and sanitation but are still responsible for the following upon departing:
Wash, dry and put away dish ware, utensils, silverware, pots and pans.
Wipe counters, tables and sinks.
Use bags provided and place trash in designated container outside.

Hosts also have a cabin on sight in case you have any questions or concerns.

PETS WE ARE PET FRIENDLY BUT IF YOUR DOG(s) ARENā€™T 100% FRIENDLY PLEASE DONā€™T BRING THEM.
Guests are allowed to bring two pets and must be approved prior to booking. Cats must be litter trained. Dogs must be friendly with other guests and their pets, including the hosts dogs and must not bother other guests. We do not allow barkers out of courtesy to other guests. PLEASE DO NOT BRING FEMALES IN SEASON. We do not allow pets to be left unattended in cabins while you are away unless your pet is crate trained and does not bark or howl. If you place a reservation and there is a problem with your dog barking and/or not being friendly then you will be asked to leave and no refunds will be issued.

Most of our guests come here for the quiet solitude and to enjoy nature. For that reason, we ask all guests respect other guests by keeping noise to a minimum before 8am and after 10pm. As a courtesy to guests and host we do not allow check in after 10:00pm.

Due to limited space we do not allow atvā€™s, motorcycles, or off road vehicles at this property. We do offer free guest use of kayaks for use on Culhane Lake.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at rustic retreat. Steve took great care of us and the property is beautiful. Highly recommend if your vacationing in the up.

Wonderful stay

Our stay was great and relaxing. Steve was a great host and is very friendly. Our cabin was clean and inviting. His two dogs, Yuper and Jasmine great guests as we they come and go. Steve is gracious allowing other pets as guests and has impressive dog handling experience. If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet place to stay to get away I would highly recommend this resort!

A quiet remote respite

Communication with host was excellent. Lovely quiet peaceful setting closer to crisp point where we spent most of our time. My husband did not follow the host rule to the letter and was chastised for it. Although he did stay on the back porch with all windows open. I cleaned small spider webs In corners and wiped down lamp shades but other than that the facility was clean, warm, and well appointed with any necessities. We appreciated the peace for our very short break from caring for an aggressive Alzheimerā€™s patient.

Rustic Retreat

If you can brave the 10 miles down a dirt road to get here it's a wonderful getaway. The cabin was much nicer than we expected and my kids loved playing down by the lake and roasting marshmallows over the fire. Overall it was a great vacation at Culhane Lake

Peaceful Retreat

My father and I had a wonderful stay for 5 nights in Septwmber of 21. The cabin and amenities were exactly as described. We wanted an upgrade from tent camping and this property fit the bill. It had just the right amount of convenience while still feeling like you got away from it all. We enjoyed not having wifi or a cell phone signal(4G is available a quick 10 minute drive south of the property.) Beds were comfortable, shower was warm, stove and microwave in good working order. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and a nice campfire by the lake. The property was very dog friendly if you're looking to bring your dog.

Great Place

This is an excellent place to stay, host was fantastic and very helpful, and informative. The lake was beautiful and the fishing was great. Perfect jumping off point for many attractions.
