This beautiful custom-built studio casita is perfect for a peaceful romantic getaway with spectacular mountain sunset views, just 19 miles from Santa Fe’s Plaza. Escape the bright lights of the city and relax by the outdoor fire pit and BBQ on cool summer nights, gazing up at the brilliant star-filled sky. On cold winter nights, cozy up around the indoor kiva fireplace with a book from the casita library and a cup of hot chocolate or your favorite beverage. Here you are just steps away from a vast network of hiking trails. The stunning sunsets over the Sandia & Ortiz Mountains and Cerrillos Hills will transport you to another dimension.
Dogs under 30 lbs welcome (2 maximum) . $20/day dog fees may be made at check-in. We regret we do not allow cats. Please note that dogs over 30 lbs will be charged an additional fee. Inquire with the host before booking.

This casita was great. Inside, it has all the amenities mentioned, and everything was super clean and worked well. Beyond the functionality, the artful touches throughout were well done and added to the positive vibe. Outside, the small backyard and patio were perfect for us and for our dog, and the view was amazing. This is a wonderfully peaceful place.

Sylvi and Harland are wonderful hosts and really fun people. They were very responsive and helpful. The cassita was great too. It looks just as nice in person as in their photos. The view is great, and surrounded by lots of paths to walk. The neighbors are awesome too, and often talked to us when out walking our dog, and gave some tips for places to visit. It’s a 20 minute drive into Santa Fe proper, but there are many local resteraunts in the immediate area to try out if you don't want to make the trek into town.

The Casita was really cute and cozy! We had everything we needed for a comfortable and cozy stay with our puppies. There were nice views and easy walking trails.

This place was amazing. It was an absolute Haven. The hosts are fantastic and make sure you have everything you need, but also give you your privacy. The home is very welcoming, both for me and my dog. Casita is very well-appointed....whatever you need, it's there. This is outside of the city, so its nice and quiet. The El Dorado neighborhood is also great and has a wonderful grocery store and restaurants all within an 8 or 9 minute drive.

Great Casita

This casita was the perfect place to escape after a busy day exploring all that Santa Fe has to offer. Our toddler would sleep immediately in the sofa bed and we were able to have a moment to relax and recharge for the next day. Sylvi was a great host answering any questions we had. The location is great ! We will definitely be coming back.

My week-long stay at the property wasn’t nearly long enough. The casita was cute, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything I needed during my stay. The landscape was tranquil and perfect for helping me achieve my trip goal of chilling out, distressing, and recharging. The hosts were amazing: available if I needed something (which I didn’t) but never intrusive. I’ll miss my mornings on the back patio, enjoying my coffee, listening to the birds sing, and watching the lizards scurry past, as well as my daily walks on the nearby paved walking paths. The property is about a half an hour from Santa Fe, making quick day trips a breeze. If you book a stay at the casita, you owe it to yourself to hike the Galisteo Basin trails (about 5 miles away); you’ll think you’re in heaven. Overall, it was an enchanting trip, and feeling so safe and comfortable at the Enchanted Sunset (and sunrise!) Casita was a big part of it.

Loved it! It was very quiet and loved the great view from the patio. Enjoyed listening to the birds and watching coyotes. Highly recommended! We will definitely go back.

Beautiful & Peaceful Stay!

A friend and I were looking for somewhere to stay that allowed us to feel like we were close to Santa Fe, but not in the middle of the city - and this was a spectacular location! Sylvi and Harland were incredibly helpful and wonderful hosts. 100% recommend the spot for anyone who loves the outdoors, nature, beautiful views, and is looking for a peaceful landing spot while in the area! If I find myself in the Santa Fe area again, I would absolutely stay here again!

Enchanted vacation

You know the feeling -- you arrive at your VRBO, cross your fingers and unlock the door. Will this place be as good as the inviting photos and the positive reviews? Well, when my wife and I opened the door to Sylvie and Harland's casita, we just stood there, smiling. "Score!" I said. "Jackpot!" my wife said. You walk in and are immersed in color -- the tilework, the art, the unobtrusive little treasures. The casita is small -- like we wanted -- but somehow expansive. It's essentially one room, but the clever design makes it feel like you're in different rooms -- kitchen, dining area, bedroom, living room (the gorgeous blue-tiled bathroom is a separate room). Very satisfying and clever.The casita, which abuts the main house, is quiet and very private. It sits at the very end of an upscale, environmentally designed neighborhood called El Dorado. The houses are far apart, and fit beautifully in the New Mexico landscape. We spent every evening on our enclosed patio, and it was like being in a National Park. It's absolutely silent, except for the occasional chirp and rustle of nature. The night sky was like sitting in a private planetarium! We watched a coyote trot by. Rabbits, lizards, birds that my wife the birder had never seen before. And every evening a spectacular mountain sunset.And finally, the hosts are a delight. Sylvie and Harland are gracious, charming, and happy to provide guidance to enhance your stay.A marvelous five days at the Enchanted Sunset Casita!

A gem!!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Enchanted Sunset Casita! It is beautiful inside and out with a lovely view across the New Mexico landscape - and some gorgeous sunsets! The hosts, Sylvi and Harland, take excellent care of the property and their guests. All of their preparations and our interactions were heart-warming examples of human friendliness, kindness and consideration. It's hard for us to imagine a more enjoyable and lovely place to stay! Wonderful host! I booked many months in advance, and I appreciate that Sylvi contacted me once in awhile leading up to our stay. This made me feel valued and took away some anxiety from our cross country drive. Such a quiet area that was perfect for our holiday getaway to enjoy the sunshine and birds of the mountains. Traveled with my spouse and 1 small dog. The casita was perfect for the 3 of us, and dog oriented so we didn't feel like our senior fur baby was a burden. We enjoyed having a fireplace for Christmas and it was fitting to the cozy atmosphere of the rest of the house. We will stay again!

Enchantment indeed and all you might need

Enchanted Sunset Casita is super comfortable, super well appointed and is in a gorgeous, quiet location with great views of the mountains. We would give more stars if possible! Sylvie as a host gets high marks for communication and helpfulness. She has provided a warm and nurturing vacation home. Would stay there again in a minute!

Charming Casita with a Beautiful View

Me and my husband along with our miniature schnauzer puppy stayed for 4 nites and we enjoyed our time tremendously. Beautiful view from inside the casita and from the back porch which has a fenced area that is safe for small dogs. The property owners were extremely thoughtful and they left treats for our puppy and us that we found upon check-in. Casita had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. It also had a great bathroom with a roomy shower all decorated in Santa Fe style.

Beautiful Casita

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful casita. It’s in a very nice area (Eldorado) and everything was just as pictured. The owners were available if we contacted them and replied quickly to any questions. Definitely a wonderful place to stay.

Really Beautiful Casita and Location

The owners were super attentive - wine for my wife, pet treats for our dog, new microwave for our leftovers and gourmet chocolate treats. The casita was very clean and well appointed. The location is both rural enough to have a country feel with beautiful views of the mountains and wildlife, yet convenient to the grocery store and great local restaurants plus 15-20 minutes to museums and the plaza. Not far to hiking/fishing in the Pecos or the ski-mountain area. We would definitely stay here again!
