Sobre esta propriedade

Home near Superdome and 10 minute drive to French Quarter.

Our lovingly restored 1920s home blends original New Orleans character with all the conveniences you expect on vacation. With high ceilings, reclaimed wood accents and thoughtfully chosen furnishings, the space feels both historic and stylish. Three bedrooms (two queen beds, two twin beds) and two updated bathrooms provide ample room for up to six guests. You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, cookware, spices and an espresso machine; a cozy living area with a smart TV and a dedicated workspace; and an in‑unit washer/dryer. Central A/C and ceiling fans keep you comfortable year‑round, though one rear bedroom can be slightly warmer on summer afternoons—portable fans are provided. Outside, relax on the front porch or back deck and enjoy free street parking (paid lots are nearby).

We’re in Central City, an emerging neighborhood just a 10‑minute drive to the French Quarter and a 12‑minute walk to the St. Charles streetcar. It’s not a tourist hub, and grocery options aren’t within walking distance, so plan ahead or use delivery. Because the home is part of a triplex, you’ll hear normal household sounds and should observe quiet hours (9 PM–8 AM). No parties, pets or smoking. Primary renters must be at least 25 years old.

Cute cottage in a good location

We had a very nice stay. The house was comfortable for our family of five, and was a great base for exploring New Orleans. The neighborhood is fine, and we mainly used the nearby St. Charles streetcar line to reach different parts of town. We would definitely stay here again.

A great “Home Away from Home” in New Orleans!

We came to New Orleans for Mardi Gras 2024. Pamela, our host, was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in NOLA. This property was very comfortable with tasteful decor, great beds, nice bathroom towels, and a well stocked kitchen for cooking & dining. The neighborhood was quiet with nice neighbors. There was ample safe street parking. Five minute drive to St. Charles Street. Our stay in this house added to our wonderful memories of our first Mardi Gras!

Rare Find absolutely beautiful and spacious

Pamela was an amazing host. She answered all my questions promptly and made sure we were all set before we arrived. The home was just as pictured clean and spacious. A group of 6 stayed here for a weekend in New Orleans. Uber rides no more than $13 to the French quarter. I highly recommend and will definitely book this property in the future when visiting New Orleans. Thank you Pamela for making our stay awesome and comfortable!

Neighborhood seems a little misleading at first. After entering the home, first impressions immediately went away. Home was warm and cozy, clean and just enough amenities to keep us comfortable during our stay. Neighborhood was quiet and neighbors friendly. We were only a 10 minute drive from french quarters and main downtown, great location. Only complaint about area is there are no markets or grocery stores nearby for essentials like food and drink, had to take an uber. Other than that, home was as described and host was very friendly and communicative. Would definitely consider staying again in the future.

Great experience

The exterior is not as the pictures reflect as I'm guessing a substantial about if time has passed, but by no means was it a negative. The interior was beautiful and matches the photos you see. The only negative is the barndoor for the master bath is 1-2 inches to narrow and doesn't completely cover the opening for total privacy. Aside from that it was a great experience. Totally recommend to anyone.

Clean but bad neighborhood

The home itself is clean and looks like the photos. The beds are comfortable and enjoyable to sleep on. It sounds like an animal is sleeping under the house directly under the master bathroom tub floor. The master bathroom shower needs a new door as it only covered halfway and water gets all over the bathroom. The shared wall with a door in the master bedroom could use a lock on the inside for safety. The entire placed smelled like Marijuana. I shared all of this with the owner/management at checkout so they could know what was going on (especially if there are animals under the house) but I didnt get a response so we decided the leave a review. Overall the house was nice but in a rough neighborhood.

Erin we appreciate when we get a review, and we understand that’s your own experience. As you shared with us New Orleans was not your favorite place as it was “too urban” as you said and you have not travelled a lot as you said and this trip was because of a work conference. The neighborhood is diverse with people of all races that is common in New Orleans, we live on the other side of a the house and have not had any issues in the neighborhood. The half glass door in the main bathtub is shown on the pictures and accommodates guests easily getting in and we provide floor mats to catch any water this is usually not an issue with guests. There is no smell of cannabis in property we couldn’t find were that claim was from and we never have guests complain before for all these years . We did respond to your email but understand that a willingness and desire to complain is needed to feel important when we responded to you. We hope you can travel more for pleasure and experience different cultures and races.

Great Location & Beautiful Space, with a Few Comfort Challenges

We had a great stay at this beautifully decorated property just a short uber from the convention center—super convenient for our trip! The space was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, with stylish touches that made it feel welcoming and comfortable. One of the best parts of the stay was the hostess—she was incredibly helpful, responsive, and genuinely cared that we had a good experience. Any questions or concerns were quickly addressed, which made a big difference. That said, there were a few issues worth noting. Despite the air conditioning, the unit stayed quite warm during the day and into the evening. The AC would constantly readjust the temperature warmer than set. Even with fans, it was warm. The hostess did bring an additional fan when we contacted her about the issue. Curtains or blackout shades would go a long way in helping with both temperature control and privacy. Additionally, the neighbors could be a bit noisy at times, especially in the evenings, which might be something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper.Overall, the location and design of the space, combined with the outstanding host support, made this a solid choice—just be prepared for some heat and bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and kind words about the design, location, and your experience with me as a host it truly means a lot! I'm glad to hear the space worked well for your convention trip and that you found the decor and layout welcoming. I also appreciate you reaching out during your stay so I could bring an additional fan to help improve comfort. Regarding the temperature, the thermostat was set and maintained at 70 degrees throughout your stay, and system checks confirmed that the AC was functioning properly. I understand everyone’s comfort level varies, and I’ll continue to monitor and adjust based on guest feedback. As for the curtains, the property listing includes photos that clearly show the window treatments so guests can get an accurate sense of what to expect. If blackout curtains are essential for your comfort, I encourage future guests to look closely at the photos or message me with any specific needs I’m always happy to clarify. Thanks again for staying with us, and for your feedback it helps us continue to improve and provide a better experience for all guests. Safe travels!

It's rare to find pictures that match the home entirely but this was one of those rare finds. The inside was lovely and perfect for us. We had a small issue with the AC but the homeowner jumped on the issue and fixed it and also provided us with compensation for the issue. We had a great stay here! Never been to New Orleans before so was unsure of the area but it was fine. We were happy to not be in the French Quarter.. it’s so busy and annoying. We did walk there a few times but loved the Garden District waaay better. A few blocks walk and we were there. The house was very clean and nice! All the essentials were included. Was mostly quiet. Lovely stay

Pamela has a beautiful home. It was so great to come home to at night after a long day of conferences and sightseeing. Everything was great except the neighborhood was a little shady. We didn’t realize until an Uber driver told us not to walk out at night. But it wasn’t a big deal because we took Ubers at night anyway. Pamela took great care in listing coffee shops and restaurants based on our itinerary and regularly checked in with us. It was a wonderful experience and she took great care in hosting us.

Sobre o anfitrião

Anfitrião: Pamela

Imagem do perfil do anfitrião
I’m Pamela, a New Orleans resident who loves sharing our city’s history and hospitality with visitors. I live on site but work full‑time; I give guests complete privacy yet am happy to answer questions or offer dining and sightseeing tips via the Vrbo app through my guidebook, Restoring this 1920s home has been a labor of love, and I enjoy providing a welcoming space where travelers can experience authentic NOLA charm with modern comforts. Hosting is a personal passion for me—it’s not managed by a company—so you’ll be communicating directly with someone who cares deeply about your stay.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We fell in love with Central City because it offers the best of both worlds—it’s close to everything visitors come to see in New Orleans, yet it still feels like a real neighborhood. From our home, you’re a quick ten‑minute drive to the French Quarter and just a twelve‑minute walk to the St. Charles streetcar, but you’re also surrounded by local residents, historic architecture and an emerging food and arts scene. We appreciate the sense of community here and the opportunity to be part of a neighborhood that’s preserving its heritage while welcoming new life. When we grab coffee at a nearby café or take a stroll down the block to listen to live jazz, we feel connected to the city in a way you don’t get in the more touristy districts—that’s something we love to share with our guests.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our home stands out because it blends authentic 1920s charm with thoughtfully curated modern comforts. High ceilings, reclaimed wood beams and original details remind you that you’re in a historic New Orleans house, while features like the fully equipped kitchen with an espresso machine, fast Wi‑Fi and smart TV make it easy to relax and unwind. We’ve furnished the space with local art and pieces that tell a story, and we provide a digital guidebook packed with our favorite hidden‑gem restaurants and attractions. As private hosts who live on site, we’re available if you need us but respect your privacy. We want guests to feel they’re experiencing “real” New Orleans living in a comfortable, stylish space rather than just another generic rental—that combination of character, convenience and personal hospitality is what makes our property special.
