Revisit the 70's and stay at Grandma's HUMBLE ABODE!

The family has held on to the special place that was our beloved Grandparents' home and we have made it available for you to stay in during your visit to historic Carson City and the beautiful surrounding areas.

This is a wonderful central location close to Reno, Virginia City, Lake Tahoe, and Truckee.

Our home is a large, double-wide mobile home on a large privately owned lot situated on a quiet culdesac of a neighborhood, not a mobile-home park.

The home is well maintained with an updated heating and air conditioning system, it's a very clean home with all the appliances and amenities for your comfort and convenience.

The yard is very large; you have the ability to close and lock the gate so you can watch your pets run around the fully fenced yard.

Our great fenced-in parking area is not only large enough for your RV and boat, plus several vehicle(s), its perfect for multiple Hot Rods! Close and lock the gate for added security.

Outdoor security cameras monitor the property for your peace of mind and ours.

PLEASE NOTE:

Our nightly rate of $99 is for groups of 6 or less people. Groups of 7-10 people are $119 per night (this is just $20 more per night, not $20 per person/per night), and cleaning for holidays, large groups and/or longer stays is charged at a higher rate depending on size of group and length of stay.

Our pet rate is $10/night per pet, not a flat $10 for the whole stay. We may negotiate on the pet rate depending on how many pets and the length of stay.

Initial booking quotes will be updated to reflect the correct rates as VRBO does not provide for these variables during the initial booking request process. An additional administrative fee will be added after the initial quote to cover payment processing.

Any false reporting of numbers of guests and/or pets, will incur the proper rate being retained/charged through the deposit.

Our Rental Agreement and Pet Policy Agreement (when applicable), will be emailed as a separate form(s) and must be signed and returned prior to receiving check-in instructions.

Late and last minute changes in booking dates may result in an extra charge.

It is a large, well organized and clean place to stay. It is also a very convenient location located near many amenities and the freeway. The gated property was great for my dog and I liked that there was parking in the back under a covered parking area within the fence. I felt very secure and comfortable!

Our first Vrbo experience and we had a wonderful stay, the retro theme surpassed our expectations - everything was super clean and it was just like going to grandma’s house in the 70’s! Our host Randee was very communicative and responded quickly to any questions, even helped us adjust the thermostat remotely, thank you! You can tell a lot of time, love, and consideration have been invested in this property. Would 10/10 recommend!

What an amazing stay! The place is wonderful and big enough for my newly walking granddaughter to wander about in. There’s a covered place to sit outside where we relaxed and enjoyed the thunderstorms. Randee is a wonderful host and even more amazing person. I will try and stay here every time I come to town. I can not recommend it enough!

What a fun choice!!! This place was an awesome time capsule of days gone by. Yes it is older and that’s the point. Tons of lots of beds for lots of heads. You have everything you need. Fenced yard great for the dogs! Fair price for this property which was a huge plus in our circumstances. Thanks!

Hands down one of our favorite places to stay now on! Homemade cookies for when we entered, everything was very clean, is how it was described, it brought back a lot of memories at the grandparents and Randee was very easy helpful and so easy to communicate with!! We will definitely be back

All Original early '70's decor

An early '70's double-wide trailer in excellent condition with all-original furnishings (not "retro"). Very well-cared for, spacious and comfortable. Very large off-street parking with closeable/lockable gate.Kitchen was well-stocked with non-perishable spices and such, and dishes and cookware.Very close access to 2 highways.We appreciated the many labels and notes for how things worked.It was a fun and unique experience.

Frozen in time 1970’s

It was cut short due to an event injury I sustained playing in a softball tournament in Carson. Stayed 2 nights instead of 4. Very comfortable and very vintage. We especially liked the welcoming homemade chocolate chip cookies that were waiting for our arrival, yummy! Has an abundance of everything you’ll need for your stay. King bed was very comfortable. Complete fenced in yard was great for our pup. It could use some landscaping, weed whacking, big pine tree in front could use pruning. Pine cones are all over the front yard, driveway and sidewalk. Seemed like a lot of folks in the neighborhood didn’t feel the need or believed in landscaping. Especially the neighbor directly to the left of the home, total disregard for keeping his yard up, fire hazard for sure. Finally, the television in the family room off the kitchen there in our opinion needs replacing. It’s hard to watch and sits too low to the ground.

Very Roomy

It's an easy location to explore the Carson City area from. Had to call Owner a couple of times but she was very responsive. It is quiet, comfortable and very well stocked. If you liked the 70"s this is the bomb.

Great place for the price

Very comfortable stay. Surprisingly lots of room, comfortable beds, nice kitchen. Great communication from the host. Worked out perfectly for our visit to Carson City. Enjoyed the Danish pastries on arrival. Thank you Randee!

Cute Property with Vintage Vibes

This rental provides modern amenities while keeping the 70s vintage charm. The house was very clean and even had VHS tapes to play on the vintage TV. The location is also great for anyone needing to be in the Carson City / Reno area.

Fun time

Took our 4 year old granddaughter up for our grandson 6th birthday. They had a blast with a yard to run in. Home was real comfortable and real clean. We will do this again.
