We can highly recommend this holiday home. It is very clean and located in a quiet area with a wonderful ocean view. Communication with the owners was good and easy.

My stay

My family enjoyed our stay. It was nice and the view was amazing too. We loved to book again. The person who owned the place even walked us through on how to get there!

Excellent view

Let’s first say that the host was very accommodating always responding on a timely manner super clean ,excellent views, prime location, but wifi is a nightmare there. We truly enjoyed this property

Thank you and your family for spending your vacation at Donpaul's Guest house. Hosting your family was a pleasure. Yes; we are currently having challenges with our wifi performance due to the provider (FLOW) technical problems which I am told they working to resolved as soon as possible. As of August 2023, we now have fast and dependable internet service - FLOW/FIOS. .......................................... January 2024.... FLOW/FIOS now installed and work great.

Did not meet my overall expectations

PROS: Location--close proximity to all major attractions large apartment, clean, secure environment. CONS: Constant issues with comfort. Arrived to a very hot house. Note to owner: when you have guests arriving, you should have A/C units turned on to cool the house beforehand. One of the a/c units in a bedroom wasn't working and it took 2 days to have it repaired. Also multiple issues with low water pressure, the pump was turned off...WHY??? YOU HAVE GUESTS. The day before we left the pressure pump was again turned off and the power switch to the hot water tank was turned off...Electrician said the owner instructed him to...AGAIN WHY??? We are not used to bathing in cold water. There were electrical issues with burned out breakers...no one came to repair for 2 days in 95 degree temps. Note to owner...you have to maintain your property to deliver the best experience to your guests or they wont return. For that size home, fridge and stove are way too small if you're hosting a large group. I know things can happen but response time is unacceptable. People not used to Jamaican climate cannot survive without air conditioning or hot and properly pressured water. Side note, it would help to add cable and tvs in bedrooms. These tips will make your property more desireable to potential renters. I cannot honestly recommend this property in good faith. It was truly a disappointment!

Thanks for taking the time to send such a well penned review, and we apologize that your experience wasn't the blissful and enjoyable one that we strive to provide to our guests. Please recall that a tropical storm had passed through the entire area during your stay which caused the electricity and AC to be knocked out. The electricity was restored shortly after that storm. The AC on the other hand was also restored during the same day; however one room needed additional work. Because all of this occurred around a weekend it was difficult finding our technician to come over immediately. During this time our communication was always kept constant with you. You also stated that the situation was uncomfortable but you did have the use of the ceiling fan in room that affected. As you know the guest accommodation remarks clearly stated in the introductory write up, that we are ideal for a small group (not large group). You made reservation for a group of 6 adult, and then later tried to entertained a dinner party of about 20 people, despite our earlier communication on the limited amount of guests. It also seems that you and your guests were enjoying your stay until it was discovered after checkout that one of the guests had left what seems like "iron burn" mark on a queen bed comforter, and we had brought this to your attention. In the future we will certainly take the pointers to see how we can improve to make our guests’ accommodation and its surroundings flawless.

Beautiful ocean view of the Caribbean Sea , the city of Ocho Rios and the mountains. You will be charmed by the quietness of the night and the lights of the city and surrounding hills.
This ideal location is a short drive away from many great attractions such as Dunn's River, Grotto Cave, Dolphin Cove, Mystic Mountain, local beaches and other hidden gems.
This home is the perfect space for a small family or small group vacation. It is less than a 10 minute to several local beach, shopping, restaurants, and nightclubs.
