As our guest, you'll have full access to all the wonderful amenities at BEAR LAKE RESERVE. This sprawling, gated mountain resort includes several miles of hiking trails, a Jack Nicklaus Design golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, outdoor fireplaces, a stocked trout pond, scheduled activities, a rustic pond-side pavilion for family gatherings, on-site restaurant and lounge, and much more!

The LAKE CLUB is a short distance from our condo and has a full-service restaurant and bar - perfect for take-out, inside dining, or poolside dining. During the active season, you'll also enjoy, a beautiful infinity pool and hot tub. Your kiddos will enjoy the kiddie pool with a slide.
Year round, you can enjoy the fitness center, a private movie theater, a relaxation lounge, and more.

The full-service LAKE CLUB MARINA offers both motorized and small craft rentals, from Pontoon boats to Paddleboards. Other options include jet skis, canoes, kayaks, and more!

Inside our fully-furnished condo, you'll find all the amenities needed to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Aside from our amazing view of Bear Creek Lake, the highlight of the cozy LIVING ROOM at our rustic mountain lodge, is the gas fireplace. Turn it on with the flick of a switch, grab a blanket and curl up with a good book. The heavy split-log, oak mantle holds a few of our favorite mementos. On both sides, the floating shelves are decorated with our family pictures, books, and portraits of mountain life by Susan Stanton.
From the living room enjoy breathtaking views of Bear Lake from the window as you relax.
The living room provides a comfortable pull-out Queen size bed that easily accommodates two additional guests. (Max. Occ. for the condo is 6)

* * The DINING / KITCHEN area offers a spectacular view of the mountains and lake. The fully loaded kitchen is perfect for preparing meals or a late-night snack while you curl up in the living area.
All appliances are top-of-the-line Whirlpool Gold, including a five-burner gas top cooking range. Plenty of dinnerware, serving ware, Calphalon pots and frying pans, Cuisinart knives. We have both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig for your fresh morning cup of Joe. (Pods are not provided)
Available in the pantry are a rice cooker, panini maker, citrus press, waffle maker, and more.
The small square dining table seats four, but can easily be extended to accommodate six. (Pull out the drop leaves, to make it round)

* * The MASTER BEDROOM at our cozy mountain lodge, has a thick memory foam mattress that will lull you to the Land of Nod. The colorful patch quilt, shams, and Sherpa blanket at the foot of the bed are from Lush Decor.
The artsy lamps with intricate metal overlay are from Dutchman’s in Highlands, NC. Enjoy the view of the mountains and the sky from the comfort of your bed. You can walk out to the balcony from your bedroom. The dressers have six spacious drawers for your clothes and the nightstands each have two drawers. There is a modest walk-in closet with plenty of shelving, a luggage rack, and non-slip hangers.
The attached full bathroom has a fully tiled glass-enclosed shower with a heavenly 10" Rain Shower Head with double sinks and granite countertops.

* * The SECOND BEDROOM has a thick memory foam mattress that ensures a restful night's sleep. The colorful patch quilt, shams, and Sherpa blanket at the foot of the bed are from Lush Decor. The whimsical fish tackle box lamp is from a local thrift store in downtown Sylva, NC.
Enjoy the view of the lake and the Secret Garden, outside your window. The dressers have six spacious drawers for your clothes, and the single nightstand has two drawers. There is a modest closet with plenty of shelving, a luggage rack, and non-slip hangers.
The attached full bathroom has a fully tiled tub/ shower combo with a heavenly 10" Rain Shower Head with a single sink and granite countertop. (There is a second door to this bathroom, which opens in the main hallway.)

* * Much of the decor and artwork was selected from our local shops and artists. We hope you take the time to visit the thriving artist community in the area.
* * All TVs offer streaming service options. We do not subscribe to cable. Please bring login information to your favorite streaming services

GETTING HERE: Using GPS to navigate through the mountains can be unreliable. We recommend 1) that you use the Waze app rather than GPS; and 2) you use the address for the Bear Lake Reserve entrance: 412 Lake Forest Dr, Tuckasegee, NC 28783.
Once your reservation is confirmed, you'll receive a digital guidebook which has turn-by-turn directions to our condo.
NOTE: Because reception can be sketchy in the mountains, we also recommend you print out directions before you set off on your trip.

IMPORTANT: Guests of Bear Lake Reserve will be responsible for paying a Resort Preservation Fee. This fee will be $30 per day (with a maximum fee per stay of $150) and is in ADDITION TO any fees collected through Vrbo's booking platform.
Upon arrival at the Greeter’s Cottage, guests will complete a Guest Registration Form and provide a credit card to process payment.
The Preservation Fee goes directly to supporting the roads, common areas, trails and surrounding area.

As our guest, you will have full access to all resort amenities at Bear Lake Reserve (some activities may have associated fees).
Arrival instructions will be sent to you one week prior to your arrival date.
PLEASE NOTE: To reach our condo you will need to descend the stairs leading off the parking lot. There is one floor above us.
