Lucy's Private Room with Double Shower

Private room in the back of the owners property. Entrance is through a side gate which takes guest to the back of the property where there is a lockbox that allows guests to check in on their own.

The space
Room is located on the back of a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom residential home. Guest have their private entrance to their room through a side gate. Interaction between guests and host is very minimal to none. Guests check in and checkout on their own but can be assisted if need be. Guests have their own room and bathroom which allows for no interaction between guest and host. Host lives on the residential space but does not share inside spaces.

During your stay, you will have access to your private room and bathroom. Parking is on the street.

Other things to note
GENERAL: If there's any problem at all, like the shower temperature or extra linens, please feel free to contact us. It's incredibly easy for us to fix these problems and improve your stay.

Heater/AC:
This room has a central air/heater that is controlled by owner through the main house. There is a heater inside room during the winter which can be turned on by guests and works wonders. During the summer, please text host if you need AC to be turned up or down. We will gladly adjust the temperatures ā˜ŗļø

Please do not smoke inside the room, please do so outside, there is plenty of space outside for that :)

If room is left smelly because of the use of Marijuana, there will be a fee. This is very inconvenient for the upcoming guests and also for the owner.

Property was conveniently located to everything in the Phoenix area! Room was as described and host communication was exceptional. Off street parking was provided and everything was trouble free!

Great value and location!

Itā€™s a simple but nice queen bedroom about 15 minutes from State Farm arena. I was there for the fiesta bowl and it was the perfect little spot for my short stay. Clean and getting in was easy. Definitely recommmend!

I tried to enter 3 different lock boxes before finding the correct room. There were light bulbs out in the main room and bathroom. There was one washcloth for two people. There was one styrofoam cup for coffee for two people. The outside lanai was filthy, dust all over the table and couches. Filthy ash tray on the table.

Okay but could be better

Arrived after dark and front was unlit with no visible address numbers so initial entry was dicey. Confusing instructions and changed entry code led us to wrong unit (partially our fault.) Roomy bath and a little better bed than their unit a couple miles west. No closet or hangers. Decent value but little charm.

As Advertised - perfect for us!

We were very happy with our stay here. We were not sure of how it would all work with location and such- but it was perfect. Not sure what any others were talking about for size or sound. We found the room was a good size and had all we needed with a coffee pot, mini fridge, place to hang clothing, hair dryer. Did not feel cramped at all. The bathroom was nice sized also. There was a cozy place to sit out side t he room with some chairs and a table. As for noise- we only heard the home ownersā€¦you ARE in a home so they do live there, anyway, we only heard them a few times and we have stayed in many many hotels with SO much worse noise. And there was NO noise at night - which is hit or miss in a hotel. Very easy access to everything we needed and we were everywhere from Glendale to Peoria to Scottsdale while there. Great host who answered any questions very quickly - almost immediately and great stay! Perfect for a two people get-away!!

Not impressed at all....

First of all, I couldn't find the house number on the home, so I phoned the home owner, but got no answer. I got out of my parked my car and walked along the sidewalk to check out the next door houses' numbers. When I looked back towards my car, there was a lady and two young girls waving at me, that I should come to them. The lady didn't look the same as the face in the vrbo ad. The lady didn't speak English, but the little girls tried to help. They walked me past the back of their house, which looked like a salvage yard of used bricks, doors, wood, windows, etc. Finally on the far side of the house, was the door to my room. There was a cage several feet away from my doors, and I still wonder what it was meant to catch. I opened the door with the code I had received via email - the double doors opened inwards, but didn't open very far since one of them was being stopped by the bed. I closed the door, and couldn't believe the heat in the room. I saw a fan above the bed, but after trying all the switches along the wall, there was no way to get the fan moving. Also, of the three light globes on the fan, only one had a working light bulb. The next thing I saw was the smoke detector on the ceiling. I could see that there weren't any batteries in it. I checked out the bathroom, and visually it seemed ok. I didn't try any of the fixtures. I had to close the door to the bathroom, to try to stifle the sounds of kids yelling inside the house. I went to turn on the tv - it wouldn't turn on. I saw there was a coffee maker, but only two throw away cups. There was an area below the tv that was supposedly set up as a desk area, but since it was painted the same dull depressing grey that the walls were painted, and had big chips of paint missing, t didn't look very inviting. I didn't know what to do, first of all the heat in the room was stifling. There was no point talking to the lady who showed me to the room since she didn't speak English. I called vrbo toll free number, and explained the problems, and told her that there was no way I could stay here, I'd rather sleep in my car. After I finished talking to the vrbo employee, she reached the home owner, and had her on a three way call. With each point I brought forward, the home owner had an excuse - like the A/C was controlled in the house, which isn't very handy for someone like me who is from Canada. The whole time she was very hostile and mad at me for calling vrbo.

Quiet, private space

This is a good place to stay if you're tired of loud neighbors or traffic. Very quiet location, friendly hosts, and a powerful A/C. You don't have access to it, but they keep the house at a very pleasant temperature. If I'm out this way again, this is where I'd stay.

Cute and Fun getaway!!

We rented this little studio for the weekend. It was a perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring phoenix and the surrounding area. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Absolutely recommend this spot. 4 stars on location just because its a little ways from downtown if that is where you are wanting to spend time. Otherwise, its a nice neighborhood.

Great communication

The host is very easy to communicate with and was very reasonable. The room and bathroom are very clean. It's small but has everything you need for a quick stay. This type of room would be best suited for an adult who just needs to crash for a night or two. The neighborhood is a bit noisy & cramped but nothing out of the ordinary if you're used to the city. The location was a bit far from downtown and restaurants but that's probably why the property is inexpensive. There are other rooms that are occupied at the same property so the outside space is somewhat shared. The doors to the other parts of the house are locked so the room is private. There is a microwave and a mini fridge. We had some circumstances come up so we weren't able to stay the night but we did get to spend a few hours at the property and the host was so nice that I wanted to leave a review.
