#5-The Lazy Fish

Unit #5 is a studio type Cabin with kitchenette right on the beach! This is a one room unit that is large enough that it has a pull out futon in it so it accommodates four people. It does not have separate bedrooms. Beautiful Lake Huron views with private grill and picnic table shared firepit and sandy bottom lakeshore. Futon makes into a bed, refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, sink, coffee maker and toaster make staying in as much fun as going out. Unit is number 5 of a six unit resort.

Pets welcome but MUST be non-aggressive toward all people and other pets.

This resort is located just south of Oscoda. Lakewood Shores Resort - Serradella Golf Course and Tawas Creek Golf and Country Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Huron-Manistee National Forest and Tawas Point State Park.

Absolute peace!! It is my second stay at the lazy fish and after traveling all over the globeā€”itā€™s the peaceful view and quiet time with the beach right out the front door cabin that I want to return to!!! Crazy to say but this little place takes first for simplicity and rest!!

Anniversary trip

Great getaway

This spot is great for a long weekend getaway if youā€™re looking to enjoy a Michigan beach. Itā€™s right on the water with great views and kayak access. Quiet area but still close enough for a short drive to little towns if you want to go out to eat or walk around. Hosts were very friendly!

The beach was absolutely incredible & The location on the beach was fabulous. You walk out your door to the sand!!! you can walk for over a mile on the Lake Huron shoreline... The fact that I could bring my dog with me is why I chose this place.But I must include that The unit itself left a lot to be desired. It definitely needs a lot of love. It was clean, there were towels, There is new tile in the bathroom....There were dishes, a stove, a refrigerator but all very dated and old...If you're looking for a fabulous beach in a great location where you can bring your dogs and your kidsThis place is for you..If you want an updated place on the beach you will be a little disappointed The pictures online seem about ten years old...

Best Little Beach in Oscoda!

I love The Lazy Fish! The cabins are well set up and the view is perfect! There's a beach firepit for chilly nights, and plenty of beach chairs for enjoying the sun. Tim and Nancy are super easy to communicate with. This was my 2nd stay, and it will be my annual Oscoda destination.

Great Place to Stay

My husband and I stayed here before and came back because we enjoyed it so much. We love waking up in the morning and looking out at the water while having our coffee. It doesnā€™t get any better than this. Tim and Nancy are great.

Beautiful view

Was very hot our stay, but the breeze being right on the water made it perfect. Our lab had so much fun swimming. Beautiful sandy beach. Clean, cute and perfect for the 3 of us. We will be back.

This place is right on the water. Being able to go right outside on the beach is such an amazing experience. The place itself was very cute and had everything we needed. I loved it and if you are looking for somewhere cozy with a nice view of the water this place is perfect. They also had a bonfire which we really enjoyed.

Perfect Beachside Getaway for One (and a Pup!)

I enjoyed a peaceful weekend at The Lazy Fish, a quaint studio right on the water. The cabin was perfect for a solo traveler and my dog. The owner was welcoming and easily reachable, adding to the comfort of my stay. The private grill and shared firepit were great for enjoying the outdoors. There was plenty to explore in and around town. Ideal for anyone seeking a simple lakeside escape.

This is my third year in a row staying in the same same cabin number 5, it was me and my son and my dog. I always enjoy staying there. I love the beach and number five cabin perfect size for us. We will definitely be back next year. I donā€™t ever wanna leave when itā€™s time to go.

Amazing Experience

We had a great time and loved our little cabin. The view of the lake and sunrise was beautiful. They had everything you could possibly need and was a comfortable place to stay. The staff and owners are super kind and down to earth. It was a great pleasure doing business with them and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Unwind & Unplug Weekend!

My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing time, the cabin was very nice, very clean and have all necessities, including coffee and cream!! The cottage is right on the water with a fire pit and grill! We'll come back in a heartbeat!

Rest and relaxation

The owners are very friendly and our in the process of fixing up the cabins. The cabins are older, but nice. The View of the water is breath taking. You can't any closer to the water from your cabin. We had our dog Angel she loved it. We will be back
