Lodge is a good location if you want to explore the various villages of Arcachon bay. We visited Arcachon a couple of times which was a 20 minute drive. The lodge is located on a small mixed site of caravans and lodges and is fairly quiet.The lodge has three bedrooms, we stayed as a family of four which felt like we had enough space to not trip over each other. It is size comparable to a big static caravan in the UK. Kitchen has a good amount of saucepans and cooking utensils. The table top oven was a lot slower than a conventional oven so worth noting if you are travelling with children. There is also not very much surface space for food preparation but no problem for a short break.Air conditioning in the lodge was a nice benefit as when we went it was very hot. There was a bouncy castle on the site every day which the children enjoyed and they loved the swimming pool which is as good as it looks in the pictures. It has a really safe main pool which is about a meter deep. It’s worth noting that the pool is a 15minute walk (at adult pace) to a neighbouring site. We had a 5 year old so decided to drive to it each day which was fine. If you had bikes it would be an easy cycle. Host was very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
