Absolutely beautiful location on Lake Sheridan. Very roomy, nice kitchen, dining & living room. Beds comfy. Property owner always responded promptly to any questions we had.

Best kept secret on the lake! Central location, quiet nights, great air conditioning, comfortable bed, lots of lake toys, and peaceful surroundings. The condo had everything you could think of, and if you needed something extra, the market is right below. Nest part is that when the market closes, you're the only one on the marina. It's entirely quiet and peaceful. Makenzie, the owner, was such a fabulous host. She gave us so many great adventuring ideas, as well as a tour around the lake. We've stayed at a lot of VRBOs, and our 18yr old son said this was his favorite vacation. The location is central to all the big sight seeing adventures. We were able to see Rushmore. Crazy Horse, the Cathedral Spires, Stratobowl, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, and our family favorite, the Custer National Forest (Jeep Adventure, THANKS, Makenzie!). If you're looking for a great place to relax, but also be central to all the wonderful National parks/sights, I highly recommend Makenzie and her little gem above the Marina Market.

Excellent! The location is beautiful and the living area was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing, and we especially liked sitting on the deck at dawn and dusk. We had a very enjoyable stay and we wished we could have stayed longer.

This place was absolutely wonderful—I only wish we had more time to enjoy it! I stayed with my younger kids, and they loved the fishing, boating, and the nearby beach. Check-in was quick and simple, and everything we needed was right there. Our host was fantastic, and the little store downstairs was so convenient for snacks, drinks, or even fishing supplies. We would definitely love to come back!

Beautiful, comfortable, home. Nicely remodeled and very clean. Even though it is not a huge home, it felt very spacious. We stayed at 3 rental properties on this trip and this was the only one that had a fully stocked kitchen with every gadget you might need. The lake scenery is beautiful, especially in the morning and at sunset. We didn't know what to expect being above a bait shop, but it was quiet and peaceful in the home. We never heard any noise below. I wish we would have booked another night or two!

Overall, our stay was pretty good. It met my top 2 expectations of good AC and being clean. The beds were also comfortable. It was a bit of a tight fit for our group of 5, but we knew we were getting a smaller place than usual. We were apprehensive about staying on top of a marina, however we are so active on vacation, I figured we'd be out so early and back so late we'd rarely run across people. No one was bothersome, but there were people outside as early as around 6:30 that kind of effected the privacy factor for us. We had a rainy night, so a few more board games would be nice as I expressed interest in prior to our stay. Our biggest issue was there was not enough hot water for 2 of us to take 10 minute showers much less 5 of us, so we had to take turns, waiting in between or jump in and out in 2-3 minutes and the shower made a very unrelaxing squealing noise at times. More towels would be useful. Us girls often require two a piece. The hostess was overall responsive. I would prefer to be addressed by name as a courtesy in initial e-mails however. She was timely in giving check in directions in advance, which was nice. The location is somewhat isolated but 1/2 hour from Rushmore, 1.5 from Badlands and roughly an hour from Custer. The grocery store was around 15 mins which is a bit of a trek. Overall, add some games, hot water and pizza cutter and it would be even better. Great beds, nice ceiling fans, good AC, pretty location.

Best stay of our trip to SD!!

Best place to stay in the black hills! We had everything we might need at our fingertips and the staff at the marina were so helpful! The rental itself was amazingly clean and well decorated with plenty of space to stretch out. You can tell a lot of thought went into the amenities and thoughtful touches to this rental. We rented a pontoon for one day and it was so convenient to just pop downstairs to get set up! Highly suggest this rental as a central location for the black hills/badlands/custer/rushmore/keystone areas!

It is in a beautiful quiet location on Lake Sheridan. The property was recently updated and it is very nice looking, as well as very spacious with three bedrooms. The property manager was courteous and helpful.

Wonderful, highly recommend

We had a fantastic time! It was perfect for us, almost too big for our four travelers. We had plenty of room to make tacos in the kitchen. WIFI was great and reliable. I would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area. The location was perfect, the lake was tranquil, and view amazing. The marina traffic was fun to watch and not bothersome at all.

Lucky find!

Came with the family for a quick Memorial Day trip. Awesome place all around. The weather was cool and rainy so we pretty much had the lake to ourselves. Beautiful lake! Great views from the unit. The remodel they did was done really well too. The kids all caught fish (blue gill and trout). Mackenzie (the host) communicated well for anything we needed. The whole family said we have to stay here again when we come back to S.D.

Beautiful Lake Property

We came with friends to visit South Dakota Black Hills attractions. Our stay here was part of the highlights that this area offers. The place was amazingly quiet on the lake this time of year. It afforded us to see a lot of wild life as well as star gazing. The place was comfortable and enjoyable.

Girls trip 2024

Awesome place and very friendly people and beautiful scenery. Only down side was we didn't get there until dark,so there were alot of deer along the road and hard to see. Mckenzie was great

A very nice lakeside property that was quiet, clean and well maintained and off the beaten path - we enjoyed the location and I would highly recommend it!

Great location!

This place is the only building at the marina, right above the store. It was a beautiful view and suoer convenient. We rented a boat fir a half day abd owners were very accomodating. Would definitely do again.

Beautiful and Unforgettable!!!

Our whole family loved staying at the Marina!!! Waking up every morning with the beautiful lake view was so beautiful!! We loved every minute of our stay!! We rented a pontoon from the Marina. The kids went tubing and it was fun to see just how big the lake was. The property owner was very helpful and pleasant to work with!! The cool lake air was refreshing at night, especially having a fire by the lake to wind down with after busy days. The Marina was also close to all the destination spots we wanted to tour, so that was an added bonus! The only thing we regret about our stay was not staying longer! We stayed for 5 nights, but we would have loved to stay longer! Now we know for next time lol.

Best View and very comfortable stay!

This place has all the items you need just as you would at home, minus the food 😁. The people at the marina were also friendly and helpful. We are already looking forward to staying here next year! The view of the lake is beautiful and is close to so many attractions!

Perfect Base For Black Hills Trip

We were out and about most of the time, so mostly just sleeping, which was excellent. With 3 bedrooms and a large living room sofabed, there was no shortage of space. Wifi was very nice to have. The marina store below is WAY nicer than I ever imagined. The view and access to the lake was amazing. I dont think there is a better location for this price in the hills. I would definitely stay here again! Only 2 minor dings, low water pressure so showering wasn't great, and extra charge for using washer/dryer. Other than that, it was the best vacation of my life! 😀

Perfect stay at the Lake

This was just perfect for our visit to the area! Everything was just as described in the listing; beautifully clean, with a stocked kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. As shown in the photos, the rental has one wall A/C unit; you will need to use the ceiling fans and possibly leave bedroom doors open to keep cool during the night, depending on the weather. We enjoyed "people watching" all the boaters from the deck and wading at the small beach. The lake area is beautiful. The property was convenient to all of the historic area sites.
