A cozy home nestled in a lush green setting where relaxation and work can come together in a space that inspires. Ideal for a break from your daily routine. The comfort and amenities have been designed to ensure you have a peaceful stay. For those who enjoy cooking on vacation, the kitchen and its amenities await you. The region’s markets and local producers are sure to delight you.
The home has no doors (except for the restroom 😉); it’s an open-concept space flowing from the kitchen through the living room to the bedroom.
Large windows in every room facing southwest with a view of the valley.
At the entrance, in front of the kitchen, there’s a small, partially shaded terrace for meals and a space to relax.
Although the accommodations are ideal for a couple, a sleeper sofa in the living room can accommodate one or two additional children (please note that the grounds are not suitable for very young children) or two other adults.
The cabin is ideally located on the hills above the village of Grand Vabre, at the confluence of the Dourdou and Lot rivers and right on the border between the Cantal and Lot departments.
In the village, you’ll find a bread pickup point at the restaurant Chez Marie (orders must be placed the day before), a café, a water sports center, and a blacksmith and cutler’s workshop.
On the banks of the Dourdou River in the heart of the village is the starting point for Terra Trail route #10. The region is ideal for all kinds of outdoor sports: hiking, mountain biking, e-bikes, trail running, canoeing and kayaking, horseback riding, geocaching, tree-top adventure courses, rock climbing, canyoning, and caving.
The Aveyron region is home to 10 sites listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Just 5 km away lies the medieval village of Conques.
The Conques Abbey and the bridge over the Dourdou River are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites as part of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France.
A region worth exploring for anyone seeking nature, outdoor activities, sweeping landscapes, culture, fine dining, or simply a BREAK.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The property is not fenced, and the surrounding terrain is steep. Access to the house is via a metal staircase from the private parking area and is not suitable for young children, the elderly, or people with limited mobility.
