This unique lodge is nestled just a quarter mile north on M-123 from the town of Trout Lake. Take day trips to Mackinaw Island, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and the Hiawatha National Forest. Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Seney Wildlife Refuge, Kewadin and Bay Mills Casinos and Soo Locks also. This is a year-round getaway ideal for jeeping, sightseeing, golf, boating, fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, snowmobiling, and side by side riding. The trailhead is at your driveway. The Brimley and St. Ignace casinos are within 30 miles away. This 2,100 square foot home has plenty of space for your group.
Enjoy the spacious kitchen area that seats 15 for your meals or venture downtown Trout Lake to The Buckhorn Bar for one of their famous burgers. The Country Market in town is a great store for all your supplies. This home sleeps 18 people and offers five bedrooms as well as a sleeping loft and two-and-one-half baths. The fully-equipped kitchen has all the accessories. There is an outdoor patio with picnic tables, custom fire-pit (firewood available at store in town, not provided) and two charcoal grilling stations. This area is perfect for smores, roasting hot dogs and telling stories. Board games and YouTube TV are available for indoor enjoyment. WE HAVE INTERNET!
For our winter guests, snowmobile to hundreds of miles of trails right from the house. The property has an asphalt driveway with ample parking. Jeepers, side-by-side, four-wheelers and bikers are welcome! A clothes line is provided for your dirty gear!! Open year round for fun. Hunters and fisherman are welcome. This home is an ideal getaway for family vacations, guy’s fishing trips, girl’s weekends, couple’s weekends and special events.

This place was perfect for our annual sided by side trip with the trails being close and it was a nice quiet setting. The house had plenty of space for all of us and the kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed. Very good communication with the host as well.

Family Vacation

We had a great time. The house was eveything promised. Plenty of space for everyone. Not far from Lake Michigan. Kerryann is great. We will definitely stay again

This was an amazing cabin. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen island and dining table are huge and fit everyone. The back patio and fire pit were perfect for relaxing and hanging out. The backyard had beautiful lights and decorations. There was plenty of room for trucks and trailers on the paved driveway. The trail runs right across the driveway and you can pretty much get anywhere from there. The cabin was stocked with plenty of towels and washcloths. The kitchen had everything in it that you could need. This is one of the best place we have stayed. We highly recommend.

We had a total of 15 in our group including 8 Grandkids. We throughly enjoyed the house. It was very clean and neat and furnished with everything we needed. The house and property is very well laid out. We were all very happy with our stay.

Famcation 2024

My family all lives in different states (Michigan, Illinois, and Pennsylvania) and we get together once every year and do a family vacation. This year we stayed here and it was a beautiful place, it worked perfectly for my family. The place was clean, host very friendly. Tons of space, enough beds for everyone. Perfect place between everywhere we wanted to visit. I will definitely come back here if we are up in the area again!

Group SXS Excursion!!

If anyone is looking to do a group side by side run from Trout Lake, this is the place to stay! This house has it all for the large group get together! The home has an open floor plan which works out great for everyone to be able to hang together. We were a group of 18 with room for all!! The parking area was large enough for all eight of our truck and trailers with room to spare. There was plenty of back yard space around the fire pit. The home was very clean and everything listed in the home description was provided and clean!! Ok - I also have to say that the beds were super comfortable! The location is perfect for the outdoor adventurers. If we do another run out of Trout Lake, we will be staying here! Thank you to the owners for the great place!!

Perfect for family vacation

Terrific Property and Host

Kerryann is a terrific host. She was very available to answer questions about the house and the area in advance of our stay, and that was VERY helpful. The house was neat and clean and well-equipped with dishes and silverware for 18! This house can handle a lot of people with a huge kitchen island that seats 9 in addition to the 9 that can be seated at the kitchen table. I would add that the home is in a private area and across from the private road is a large sandy area that looks perfect for a volleyball game. We used it to set up our cornole boards and horseshoes equipment. I'd also add that air conditioning was a must for us, but not a lot of homes in the Upper Peninsula necessarily have A/C. The A/C worked very well. All in all, this was a terrific rental experience for us.

Wilcox Family Vacation 2023

Very clean and neat, plenty of room for us with 9 adults and 7 kids ranging from 3 - 14 years old. Beds were good. A/C worked great. Kitchen was fully supplied as far as dishes and utensils. So many towels, it was luxurious. We all liked the bathroom set up with 3 sinks outside the toilet/bathtub rooms. 2 big water heaters meant plenty of hot water. Furniture was comfy and inviting. Back patio was great for sitting around the fire pit (bring your own chairs!). The kids loved roaming the place and playing in the sand outside. We have NOTHING but GOOD to say about this place and about Kerry, the host. It was simpy wonderful.

UP Greatest Hits Tour

Our kids wanted a cabin to revisit many of the sights we frequented when we used to visit the UP when they were younger. This cabin was perfect for that, and we were within 30-45 minutes of each site on our tour. We were pleasantly surprised that the cabin is much roomier than appears in the pictures, and our 9 adults had plenty of room! Our host, Kerry, responded quickly to our questions, and check-in/check-out were super easy. We will consider this property again when the UP comes back on our travel list.

Perfect Location

The home is excellent for a group or pair of families vacationing together. Close to town if you need a quick gas or grocery run. Biggest convenience for our group is the trailhead crosses the driveway, easy access to traveling North or South out of Trout Lake!

Family vacation

Nice house, plenty of room for our families (9 adults & 3 kids). Location was great, half hour to just under an hour to places we visited. The Buckhorn was just down the road for a quick bite to eat. Outdoors was secluded with a firepit out back. Only complaint is the sign for the house is kind of hidden so we had to turn around because we passed it on our way to the house. Otherwise we had a great time!
