***Jan 2026--- The other building is experiencing renovation, painting, concrete repairs, so the pool is closed for potential falling debris. Both elevators in our tower have been replaced and are functioning.

Our 11th floor beach front condo is our family's getaway, not a resort, where we enjoy the sea breeze from the couch & is nestled in a chill locals neighborhood.

Large balcony on the 11th floor with views of turquoise clear water right on the gold sand beach, birds eye view of the surfers of La Pared to the west & a near empty beach to the east.
Gated 24 hour security, pool, kids' pool, beach access & coin op laundry room.

Our stay was wonderful. The hosts had all amenities you would need and the location was right on the beach. We did not have a car and there were many fantastic restaurants within walking distance. Ubers and Lyfts were easily available as well. The view was beautiful and I recommend visiting.

The place is nice though it can use some updating. The windows are difficult to open, the double door to the balcony got stuck. There is an elevator but only for the main apartment building. Coming from the assigned parking spot there are a lot of steps to climb. Location is good.

Beautiful ocean view & great location!

This was perfect for our stay, close walking distance to restaurants to the east, and amazing 5 miles of beautiful undeveloped beach to the west! Location could not have been better

After texting host that listing had a picture of pool and also listed it had a pool, he said it was closed for a year. Now he has picture off of listing and doesn’t have it in amenities. The sliding glass door was very difficult to open, needs repair. The bathroom tile is coming off the wall. The kitchen faucet is leaking terribly. The air conditioning is only for the bedroom, u have to leave slider and entry door open for breeze to blow through living room. Has ants .Water pressure was terrible.

Million Dollar View

We like this place so much that we've stayed here 3 years in a row. The view and ocean sound from the balcony alone is worth it. But also a comfortable stay for 2 of us, and great eating places within walking distance.

Amazing views! A great way to explore the beauty of Luquillo. I have been traveling to PR since I was a lil girl and have stayed all over and in all types of establishments and the views from this condo were breathtaking.

Beautiful view disappointing building and elevator

Balcony view amazing , the building and elevator are extremely scary and looks like the projects in the Bronx very disappointed at the elevator and building appearance , gives prison feeling I’m from PR and have strayed in sandy hills 30 years ago dramatic change really bad but the apartment super cute and clean nd beautiful view

Location Great but,

Although the location was great and the views amazing, the ammemtities were less than accomadating. The kitchen was small and hasnt been updated along with the entire condo. The property itself is literally in need if a complete makeover. The Elevators were broke and the pool was closed.The sluding glasd doors in the unit need to be replaced as the were very difficult to open and shut.Million dollar view with a 5 dollar update

Luquillo - Sandy Hills Condos

Do NOT stay in these condo buildings. Sandy Hills outdated, rundown, is potentially unsafe and needs a complete remodel. Ants and roaches in the building. Parking garage smells of cat piss I’m sure some places in Luquillo are nice, but this isn’t one of them! Total scam is you stay here!

We miss the sound of the surf!

This as the fifth of a series of places we stayed during an extended winter vacation in Puerto Rico. We were a bit dubious because as reported there was some construction and restoration work being done to the building including having only one elevator working. This did not turn out to be a problem in any way. We barely ad to wait for an elevator. The vista from the balcony was breathtaking and we became accustomed to spending lots of time overlooking the beautiful surf. While the building has seen better days, Bree's unit was well maintained and had everything we needed. . We took in a concert at the local Jazz bar called C-Note and it was great. Bree was very prompt and accommodating. We had a great stay at this lovely place

A nice condo with a balcony and an outstanding view of the beach and surf, which are practically right below. The unit was clean and well appointed with a kitchen. There is artwork at places throughout, mostly with a marine animal theme. Typical of beach accommodations there was no carpeting; tile and laminate flooring are easier to keep clean. The water pressure was much less than we are accustomed to, but we understand that may be a result of insufficient infrastructure or other reasons and that clean water is a precious resource people like myself from the Pacific Northwest sometimes take for granted. On two occasions no elevator arrived after we pressed the button. In each case we used the stairs. No problem going down, even from the eleventh floor. But after we had to climb them one time, I contacted Bree to see if she could call anyone about the issue. She responded promptly that she would do so and we didn’t have any more such problems. Everything considered, we liked the condo quite a lot and would stay there again if we ever get back to Luquillo.

Great location, spectacular ocean view, above and beyond, felt safe

Great Location: short walk to city square, coffee shops, restaurants, beach, etc.Spectacular Ocean View: the condo was an ocean view with a nice patio that seated 4 people. We loved listening to the waves crashing; so relaxing! We could see windsurfers and beachgoers down below. WARNING- the beach immediately outside the condo has riptide warnings. There is a stretch of beach that is a walkable distance that is perfectly safe without riptide warnings. For more information about where riptides are, see the placard by the elevator on the first floor.Safe and secure: There is a gate and security guard to get in the building during most times of the day. They are very helpful but may or may not speak English. There's also a metal safety door to get from the garage into the building and in front of the condo door. P.s. the elevator was a little slow and janky but it did the trick.Provided everything we needed: This condo had a very homey feel and very cute ocean decor. There were several things provided that we felt were above and beyond; there were plenty of beach towels, board games, a boogey board, drying rack, ironing board, shower supplies, plenty of glassware and shakers for mixed drinks, and it also had plenty of kitchen supplies. We loved the ottomans!

Building is under renovation so there is work being done to exterior and elevator only worked from 1st floor up. So there was a little inconvenience but we are enjoyed our stay

Inaccurate bedding accommodations and ants

As soon as we arrived, we were on the 11th floor and both elevators were out of commission. We had to wait for over 1 hour on the lobby with no AC before the elevator was out. In the apartment, I saw that there was only one bed and the accommodations was supposed to be for 3 people. Asked about the pull out couch and they said it was replaced with a small sofa. And that we could leave for a full refund, well that was impossible since we were traveling 2 families and only one car. The owner kept asking me to leave for a full refund and wouldn't understand that we didn't have anywhere to go. Also the apt kitchen area was full of ants. Owner did not believe me until I sent a video of the ants. One day before check out she said she could send pest control guy. Again during my trip both elevators stopped working and the group had to leave without us. This one bedroom is inadequate for 3 adults. The bed was also small a full size not queen.

Location is everything!

Just stayed at John & Bree's unit in Luquillo, PR. We wanted to stay on the eastern side of the island this time around. Check-in process was smooth as the owners provided great instructions. The neighborhood isnt what you'll find near some of the big resorts but in Puerto Rico, anytime you're not staying in an upscale hotel in San Juan, you will get to see all aspects of the island. The unit is very clean and has what you need to enjoy a vacation. Love the nautical decor! The terrace view was everything and keeping the doors open provided an amazing breeze. For dining, we ventured out to Fajardo and Luquillo. One big issue is many restaurants are closed during mid-week so plan ahead. Would definitely stay again!
