Place is the cutest thing ever. Amazingly quiet here aside from the beautiful sounds of wind chimes next door. Not sure my wife will ever want to leave!

Quiet Retreat

We came to visit family over the holidays and this was a lovely quiet place to enjoy a cup of tea. I have stayed at many VRBOs over the years and appreciated that the host provided k-cups for coffee.

Beautiful Property

I was in town for a reunion and this home was a perfect place for me to enjoy some downtime and restful sleep. The property is right on the water, well-appointed and everything was made super smooth by Heather. I highly recommend staying here.

Pleasant stay

This is a nice little place right on the water. A little over 20 minutes from USNA, it was a convenient spot for our family of four while visiting. It was very clean and its got a great little dock out back that we enjoyed sitting on (while our boys used the included kayak and canoe). Definitely worth considering if you don't need to be really close to downtown!

Perfect getaway

Loved our stay! Heather is a great host, there was a welcome basket, flowers and a hand written welcome letter waiting for us. Everything was super clean, with great attention to detail. The house is so cute and perfect for a weekend getaway from DC. Will definitely be coming back.

Ralaxing Stay

If you are looking for a relaxing stay, this is it. The neighborhood was really quiet. The view was amazing. The house had all the necessaries and we even had a welcome basket waiting for us. Thanks Heather and Family!

Great house, great location

We had such an amazing stay. The house was so cute and the owner was so responsive. The welcome basket was a nice touch and everything we could possibly need was in the house. My kids loved fishing and crabbing right on the dock. We did so many wonderful day trips. Perfect location!

These owners really thought of everything. The house was a perfect setup, the dock was so peaceful and kids loved fishing off it, easy & quick trip to downtown Annapolis.

Great space, nice location

We booked this house for our girls weekend and we had a great time. The home is lovely inside and out. It was updated and clean and nicely decorated. We were provided with a nice welcome gift and the owner was so courteous. We will definitely book again.

Heavenly sunrises!

Heather's place is just as advertised: a wonderful Chesapeake Getaway. We were greeted by a warm note from the owners, a bottle of wine, and some goodies to kick off our relaxing stay. Can't say enough about this lovely home on the bay. We will definitely return!

Fabulous Visit to the Academy!

This is a great house in a great location for our visit to USNA! We had a blast on the water with small boats, grilling out,and just hanging out outside. The house is clean, comfortable, well decorated. We loved it so much, we plan to return. Heather was an excellent and friendly host. I would give six stars if I could.

Best yet!!

I can honestly say that this was the best VRBO I have ever stayed at. It was exceptionally well appointed not only with the basics but extras in the bathroom and kitchen that made it convenient and feeling like home. Also the house was beautifully decorated and an amazing location. The check in /out was very smooth and the host communicated very well. It really was the gold standard of what a rental vacation home should look like.

Perfect spot with a beautiful view!

Our son and daughter in law joined us for a 2 day stay while we attended my nephew’s wedding at Londontown and Gardens. The house was perfect for our needs, quiet, clean and very relaxing views. The adult children took the canoe out for exploring on a beautiful day! The host Heather was very responsive and welcomed us with a nice gift basket and personal note that made us feel very taken care of. Highly recommend Shelby on the bay!

Perfectly peaceful

This property was simply amazing. The photos don’t do it justice. This peaceful waterfront setting was just what was needed for our anniversary weekend. We enjoyed the working fire place and the gorgeous sun room for coffee in the mornings. The host was absolutely wonderful and the home had everything you could possibly need. Will definitely be back! Located close to Annapolis, Kent Island and close enough for a quick trip to DC as well. Loved it!

Selby on Bay -Edgewater MD

Great overall stay. Nice property on the bay. Dock was recently updated. Grandsons liked checking the crab traps. Kitchen was well equipped and beds comfortable, furniture cozy too. We did use the deck and had a fire pit one night during our stay. All good. Owner left nice welcome basket in kitchen. WiFi very reliable. Good location if you want to stay near Annapolis but avoid the hub-bun of Annapolis. We were in the area for a wedding and family visiting.

Beautiful Bay Views

We had a great time. The place was extremely clean. A very nice gift basket from the owners was awaiting our arrival. There are comfortable couches and chairs in the den. Big table for meals. Beds were also comfortable with lots of extra pillows and blankets. There are a lot of nice places to sit outside. The dock was a true highlight. We sat on the dock at every opportunity. The location is tucked away and very quiet yet convenient to everything. Annapolis is a short dive and Uber is accessible. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!!

Water stay

Extremely clean house. Lockbox stopped working (needed a new battery). This was a minor annoyance. Otherwise great. Town is very quiet - not much to do but house is right on the water. Too dangerous to bring the canoe down to the water (too steep and not good spot for getting it o ca or).

Peaceful setting, responsive host

I rented this for a ladies getaway of 4, and we had a wonderful time nestled in this lovely quiet neighborhood. We were looking for a waterfront view that was close/accessible to the city—to which we were able to get dockside pickup and got into Annapolis within 40 min (sooner if we weren’t leisurely touring!). The home was spotless, and was just right for our kind of low-key group looking for a little quiet from our hectic lives. I think this would be perfect for a similar sized group or small family. The sunroom was a wonderful place to rest as it allowed us to wake up to the most beautiful sunrises. Heather was highly responsive with many questions before and during the trip, as well as providing local recommendations, which made for a smooth experience. I would absolutely stay here again, and think all VRBOs should strive to be as lovely as this.

Magical Waterfront Oasis with a Sleeping Porch. What are you waiting for?

Where do I begin? This place is perfect. Upon arrival, we were instantly captivated by the view. At 41, I regressed to my 8 year old self and immediately claimed the sleeping porch as mine. I don't know how many times I said "this is all I need", and I wasn't talking about a vacation rental. Heather was the most professional, responsive, and kind host. Every question I asked was answered promptly and pleasantly. Photos don't do this place justice. Tastefully designed, updated, and somehow modern and timeless at the same time. The furniture felt substantial and comfortable, the linens were plentiful and luxurious. There was a welcome basket for us that was clearly well thought out, and such a classy touch. This was a fishing trip, but wow did this place elevate that whole experience! We booked a fishing charter with Is That Right Sportfishing, and to our surprise they dock around the corner. We checked the depth charts, and this perfect cottage enabled dockside service. The Captain was a pro, edging the transom to the end of the dock for easy loading/offloading. The kids learned how to catch spots off the dock for bait, checked crab traps, caught rockfish, had a surprise visit from the Captain who took us to dinner by boat. Kids declared this "BEST TRIP EVER" and cried when we left. Do your soul a favor - sleep on the porch, make a coffee, sneak out before anyone wakes up, and catch a sunrise on the dock. This place is magic. We will be back.

This house was perfect for our weekend getaway! It was extremely well stocked and we had everything we needed. Being right on the water was such a treat. And Heather was always quick to respond whenever we had questions. I hope we’ll get back there again!
