North Haven Island Paradise! Walk to Ocean & Ferry

Come enjoy the simplicity of island living at our little slice of North Haven heaven!

Just a short walk from the North Haven Island Ferry and the waterfront, our lovingly restored 4 bedroom cottage is the perfect spot for you to unplug and relax! Conveniently located within walking distance to the waterfront, restaurants, coffee shop and a park, you'll have easy access to all that North Haven has to offer. Our home is the perfect home base for your family vacation or getaway with friends.

New for winter 2024-25, Calderwood Pizza will be open on Friday nights starting in December and Nebo will be open on Saturday nights starting in January.

Our 4 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home can accommodate up to 8 guests and flows easily to give your entire group space to spread out. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, our cottage is the perfect place to call home during your getaway to experience the beauty and charm of New Haven.

Downstairs:

-Spacious living room with a 55 inch smart TV, board games, puzzles and seating area with a comfy couch and chairs
-Additional seating room with a charming, old piano and desk - perfect for working from home (if you must!)
-Dining room with historic handmade dining table and seating for 8
-Fully stocked and equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals at home, including a drip coffee maker with start up coffee supplies
-Half bathroom
-Laundry Room with washer/dryer and start up laundry supplies

Outside is a spacious backyard with an outdoor shower, gas grill and a gorgeous custom made, live edge wooden table and chairs - the ideal spot for al fresco dining!

Upstairs:
-Bedroom with king bed with window AC unit in the summer
-Bedroom with 2 twin size beds with window AC unit in the summer
-Bedroom with queen bed with window AC unit in the summer
-Bedroom with queen bed with window AC unit in the summer
-Full Bathroom with stand up shower. **Please note that this is the only full bathroom in the home and is on the second floor. For larger groups, we highly recommend the outdoor shower, the downstairs half bath and the vanity room across the hall for some extra space!
*Each bedroom has a window AC unit in the summer as well as portable fans year round - the coastal breeze is lovely!

Cell phone service can be limited on the island, making it easy to unplug and connect with family and nature, but we do have high speed Wifi!

There is parking for 1-2 cars in front of the house.

The ferry runs from Rockland to North Haven at 9:30AM, 2:20PM and 5:15PM daily and runs from North Haven to Rockland at 7:30AM, 12:30PM, and 3:45PM daily. The ferry takes an hour and is the main mode of transportation on and off of the island.

While you don't need a car to get to and from the house, car spots are extremely limited on the ferry. You must call exactly 1 month prior to initial departure dates in order to guarantee a confirmed reservation to bring a vehicle onto the island.

There is also an option to charter or bring your own boat over - we are happy to provide information on moorings.

We have installed exterior only security cameras for the safety of both guest and property. These cameras are actively recording both audio and video on all exterior entrances and side doors. Any tampering with cameras, including, but not limited to covering and otherwise disabling of these cameras are grounds for early termination of reservation with no refunds whatsoever.

Please note that any refunds made in accordance with our cancellation policy will be less any credit card fees.

You have access to the entire house, with the exception of one storage closet, the basement and attic.

We're happy to help with suggestions for places to go, but we will never be overbearing.

While we strive to minimize guest disturbances, we regularly maintain our home and may conduct lawn care during reservations, particularly on weekdays or during longer stays.

We are conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the ferry, so a car is not required in order to enjoy your stay! We are about 1.5 miles from the local market, but there are local grocery delivery options.
