Our beautiful log home, known as Kineo Escape, is nestled on a wooded lot at the mouth of the Moose River in Rockwood, Maine which is situated in the heart of Maine's legendary Northwoods and the magnificent Moosehead Lake region. As the cabin name infers the views of Mount Kineo from the private float are spectacular. The rustic look of exposed beams and a field stone fireplace are complemented by the cabins modern amenities. Kineo Escape Cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, four bedrooms, a family room, a heated gear room, and a large covered porch! For snowmobilers, it’s located within a stone's throw of the famous Moosehead Trail and Route 66, and within minutes of the ITS snowmobile trails! The cabin fits 8 people comfort,.

Awesome house and location

Dock was great with easy lake access. Great layout for two tamiles to enjoy. Responsive caretakers and well stocked kitchen for dining at home. Would happily stay again!

Perfect Mountain Lake Getaway

We traveled with our family and grandma, looking for a relaxing and remote getaway. The cabin was very clean and had all necessary amenities. Location on the river was perfect to dock our pontoon and gave us easy access to the lake. Kids loved fishing and swimming off the dock. Great vacation!

Check in was a simple process. House was nice, kitchen well equipped. Access to the river is down a set of stairs that make you hate that you haven't worked out more, but well worth it. The only downfall was the beds. They were ok but for the money you're spending, cushy beds that dont scream everytime someone moves would be ideal!

Family Vacation in Rockwood!

From the moment we pulled up we knew we were going to have a great stay! The pictures do not do the home justice! We stayed for 2 weeks and were very comfortable in the home and enjoyed the ample bedrooms and baths for our family of 5. We worked remotely while there and went on many hikes and fishing trips! I would highly recommend this space to anyone who is considering visiting Moosehead Lake! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Nice and cozy!

The property was beautiful, quiet, and in a great location to "get away" from the world. We spent a fair amount of time on the dock and porch. The kitchen was nice and spacious as well. The only complaint we have is an odor in the house upon entry and if the windows were closed for long periods of time, but opening the windows to circulate the air resolved it quickly.

Snow trip

There was an issue with the number of beds, but the Caretaker resolved it before all the guys arrived. We had a great time! The cabin in beautiful. Everything worked as it should. Could not have asked for better weather for snowmobiling and ice fishing. The fish even cooperated. A small herd of deer came by every morning too.

Great place to stay with a lot of people. Access to the Birches was very close. Had a great stay amazing place only wish there was more fire wood on hand we had to ask for more to be replenished

We really appreciate the stay so convenient with good snowmobile access to Moosehead Lake and ITS trails. The place was very spacious for a group of 5 people. We would definitely recommend and stay here again. Early morning checkin was a probably the frosting on the cake. A great 3-days.

Nice cabin, plenty of sleeping area

This property was nice and the cabin was as well. Plenty of sleeping spots in the house allowed my larger party to be all in one location. Plenty of shade in the backyard provided some relief from the hot sun.

Perfect Cabin in the Woods

The cabin was “as advertised” and provided the perfect setting for family to enjoy fishing, boating and hiking in the Moosehead area. It was clean, roomy and ideally located.

The log cabin is amazing! Beds are comfortable and the cabin is beautifully decorated. Comfy furniture. We had everything we needed. It was the perfect setting for our ATV vacation. Easy access to the trails and good riding for the whole family. The hike down the stairs to get to the private dock on the river was a little misleading. 63 stairs down to get to the river and 63 stairs up to get back to the cabin. Even our 11 yr old son had to take breaks to get up the multiple flights of stairs. We had an inflatable canoe however could be difficult for anyone to get a regular canoe or kayak down and up the stairs. No "waterfront" views. Great vacation!

Beautiful Rockwood camo with easy access to Moosehead Lake and boat rentals

Great property for a medium sized group. The dock is probably the highlight, but the cabin is well built and charming. Kitchen is well setup, and the grill works great. Walls between. Rooms are a little thin of you are a light sleeper, but the beds are all comfortable.

Beautiful Cabin Worked Out Perfectly

We enjoyed our stay for a weekend of snowmobiling. The cabin was perfect; beautiful cabin, lots of parking space, perfect location for trail access, very roomy, clean, great condition and well appointed. Property manager was very prompt to answer questions beforehand. Enjoyed watching the deer every morning while drinking our coffee!
