We had an absolutely lovely stay at Costal Bliss. It was the perfect spot for our group of friends and a few young kids to relax and play. House was large and well stocked- having two fridges is priceless. The beach was beautiful and having a spot in the bay protected us from a passing hurricane. We loved swimming and watching surfers and dolphins. The sunsets were gorgeous. Nearby (20 minutes) Cape Charles offered a bit of everything to tickle our pallets and shopping bug. We loved our vacation and the hot tub at the end of each day.

Just like it was represented on VRBO! Excellent property, rooms were great with plenty of space. The furnishings were complete and in working order. Every detail was thought of - even a firepit that was prepared to light!

We had the most wonderful stay here for our family reunion / birthday event! The host was wonderful to chat with and very responsive for any questions we had. We had a total of 14 in the home (13 adults, 1 child, our fur baby!) and still had plenty of space and room for all. While the beach is not completely private, it was rarely busy and our family practically had the area all to ourselves. We took out the kayaks provided by the property and had a great time! Life jackets were provided as well. The home was incredibly well stocked (full linens, towels, kitchen appliances/dishes, beach chairs & toys, etc). We were never lacking with anything for the weekend. Would absolutely stay here again for a large family gathering!!

Excellent Family Vacation

One of the best properties we have ever stayed at. It was so well stocked with everything. The kitchen cabinets were labeled and contained everything you could possibly need. The house was clean and in excellent condition. We loved having a beach area that was so private. There were nine adults, three small children and two babies in our group and there was plenty of room in the house for all of us. I would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful home for large family gathering

The home is very nice and in a great location. Beautiful views and easy access to the beach. As a previous guest stated, a new house is within 100 feet of the driveway (not shown in photos). Not a problem for us, but sharing for awareness. Be aware the beach is not private. 3-4 vehicles parked each day near the driveway for families to access the beach. Close to 20 vehicles on the 4th of July.

Great house, nice furnishings

Wanted a private place on the water, pictures don’t show a new home built directly behind this house. The fire pit and hot tub are basically in the front yard of the new house. If privacy aren’t an issue and great views are all the matters then this place is perfect.

Terrific winter weekend get-away

We had a terrific 2 night stay, February 28-March 2. My daughter turned 16 and we brought her and some girlfriends out for a weekend of celebrating. The house was perfect. It's a beautiful home with a well-appointed kitchen and perfect bedrooms. Plenty of space for our group of 10 to sleep comfortably, and the common area worked well too. Winter can be a tough time in Cape Charles because some things shut down, so this house was terrific because the girls could use the hot tub and go for beach walks. We ordered pizzas and salads from Deadrise the first night, had a great lunch out at The Shanty and found that plenty of shops were open for meandering. Make sure you arrive on time for sunset; the views are incredible. Thanks so much. Hope to come back.

Long Lasting Memories

Can't say enough about our experience at the house! Location is top notch. House was perfect to accommodate our large group. Kitchen was stocked with every9int and more to make all your meals. It was nice having a big outdoor area to dump our beach gear and run around with the kids. If our group was not expanding due to kids we would come back here every year. We loved what felt like a private beach too. I think most will agree, the access to the beach is not the best but I assume that is the counties responsibility. If it is not, I would recommend putting some stairs in. Romy answered all out questions within 24 hours which was very helpful as well. You wont be disappointed if you end up spending your faimly vacation here!

Fabulous vacation house!

Beautiful property with view of the bay. We had a glorious family reunion here with people of all ages. The beach was beautiful and secluded and the hot tub was great for the couple of overcast days we had. Plenty of kids toys, games, floaties, beach chairs and towels, whatever we needed was there. Communication with the owner was superb.

Wonderful beach vacation

This home was exactly what we wanted for our family vacation with little kids and grandparents. Plenty of room, very comfortable, clean, and so close to the beach. Not many people on the beach so it felt relatively private; water was gentle and good for kids. Fun to visit the town and then relax at the house by the water in such a peaceful spot.

Dolphin House

This was a great place for our family vacation. We had 13 people from three generations. There was more than enough room for us. The property manager was very quick to respond to inquiries. The check-in process was clearly explained and easy to do. We had a fantastic time at the beach! The waves were just right for our little ones. We liked the quiet location. Like previous reviews, the house was very well stocked. We would stay here again. Oh, and we got to see dolphins in the bay a few times!

Our favorite spot

This house is everything you’d imagine and more. This was our third year staying and we absolutely love it for our family. The location is incredible. The home is well kept and clean. The beds are quite comfortable and the extra twin beds in rooms make it easy to accommodate children. The owners are responsive and very kind. The beach: Wonderful calm swimming for all ages and beautiful beach. The kayaks were a wonderful addition, however the beach access was so rough this year it was nearly impossible to carry them down and up from the beach. Getting young children and beach gear up/down the rocky drop-off was quite a challenge this year despite being so close to the shore. The beach access is really the only thing that could improve with this amazing location. Everything on property is 10 stars, I just hope the price doesn’t continue to rise as it was quite an investment to stay this summer. Thanks for another great stay and for the family memories we’ve made here!

Best Sunsets in the US!

Beautiful property, fantastic location. Incredible sunset views from the deck; we also saw porpoises, lunes and herons. Universally comfy beds (since no reviewers have mentioned them before!!). We had ages from 12 to 73, and we all slept very well. Also, this house is the best stocked stay in our decades of renting homes for family spring breaks: hand soap, bath products, paper towels, toilet tissue, and a great selection of cooking utensils. Quiet, private. Great.

Convenient location and beautiful views

The views of the bay are beautiful, especially at sunset. We rarely saw anyone else on the beach during our stay and found many interesting shells each day. The kayaks and life vests were a hit and it's a great spot to paddle out for a closer view of the dolphins. The host was very responsive and helpful. When we asked if we could rinse off using the outdoor shower (turned off for winterizing), the property manager came over the same morning and set it up. The home was very clean and welcoming and we enjoyed spending time there with family.

Truly Coastal Bliss

This property is excellent! Very clean when we arrived & very well stocked! Our family gathered there for Christmas. 10 adults, 1 teenager, 4 kids 5 & under & we had plenty of room & plenty to do. Beautiful view of the bay with easy access to the beach. Host was in contact so easy to reach but we had no issues. Highly recommend & hope we can return in the future!

Great place

Well stocked and provisioned. My whole family had a wonderful time. The hot tub was a fun feature. We could not make the solo stove/fire pit work. There did not seem to be any shovel to clean out ash. Nevertheless, we had a great time. Manager was amazingly swift with all responses

Stunning rare find the perfect birthday getaway

From seeing the photos and booking we realized this home would be special. Romy the manager was totally helpful and gave us accurate and speedy responses as the day of travel arrived. Once there she was always on hand to help. This is a secluded and stunner of a home. We all drew out breath arriving and seeing it in the flesh for the first time. Wow location, cleanliness and litererally everything is provided here. What's more the photos cannot do justice to what you will find. We have lots of experience renting homes and this is the rare time you won't need to bring anything with you for kitchen, bathrooms or bedrooms. What's more the fire pit, hot tub and kayaks were all clean, new and fully working. Even the life vests were not tatty and a joy to use. So expect to be pampered and for the location, comforts and design you won't get better on a coastal rental than this if you want seclusion and like to cook and entertain in. 5* in all respects and highly recommended.

Awesome times with Family & Friends

We have a yearly cousins get- together and we picked Cape Charles and Chesapeake Bay this time. Glad we did that, the views are spectacular, you got the beach almost to yourself. The hosts were super nice, responsive and caring for anything we needed. Kids and all family had a wonderful time creating so many beautiful memories.

Sitting on our upper or lower deck and watching birds, fish, boats and enjoying peace and quiet with only one close neighbor is very relaxing. We were blessed to find this little piece of Heaven and build our family home. Something this beautiful needs to be shared.

We were fortunate to have found and purchased this very uniquely located beach front property within a mile of Kiptopeake State Park. House is new and sits on one acre with only one neighbor within sight. Only 50 feet to waters edge on slight incline, easy. Hand rail to assist coming up.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

PRIVATE and QUIET. Very few, if any beach homes like this are constructed on a fairly level lot but with easy access down path to water of bay with energizing waves. Peaceful, as you can walk both directions on shore line without seeing people, just birds, sometimes dolphins and jumping fish. This is definitely a special place. Usually a gentle breeze helps keep the insects and no see them away. The lot has 100 year old wild Cherry trees as well as oak and native trees. Woods adjoin our lot on three sides, so there is an abundance of wildlife. Eastern Shore of Virginia is a hidden jewel that many eventually find and return again and again. Come visit and see why we are so special!
