We are an eco friendly and off the grid Bed and Breakfast at Secret Beach. Secret Beach is on the west side of Ambergris Caye where you can enjoy calm, blue waters with no sargassum! The yellow cabana is a private one bedroom cabana with a queen bed and a private bathroom. Attached is your private balcony with the nice sea views, where you can watch amazing sunsets and out of this world stargazing!
Enjoy the quiet mornings where you can hear the fun wildlife of Secret Beach.
Secret Beach is a true paradise with beautiful, blue waters! There are a few restaurants and bars nearby you can walk to and enjoy. Quiet hours on the property are from 10pm-7am. We serve a complimentary light breakfast with coffee at the shared dining table from 7:30-9:00am.
We have an honor bar lounge on the property where you can purchase drinks and snacks, read a book, play games, watch TV or gather with guests.
You can rent Paddle boards, jet skis, and kayaks at restaurants in walking distance. Most restaurants at Secret Beach are open from 10am-6pm. You can make later dinner reservations at some restaurants nearby in advance. Our guests enjoy fun entertainment during the day and quiet mornings. A perfect blend of fun and relaxation!
There is a water park in walking distance. Rent a golf cart and enjoy discovering Ambergris Caye. Belize has the second largest barrier reef. Make sure you book a scuba or snorkeling tour. Or grab one of our complimentary hammock floats, a snorkel and mask, smash ball set and just enjoy the refreshing beach and sea waters! Come experience a little slice of heaven!
Because we are proudly eco-conscious, our cabanas do not have air conditioning. Instead, you’ll fall asleep to the Caribbean breezes, with ceiling fans above and windows that invite in fresh sea air and the soothing sounds of nature.

Peaceful and felt like home

Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay with gracious hosts that made us feel like family. Breakfast was to die for. Highly recommend. Beautifully kept landscape.

Perfect! Don't pass this up!

The most enjoyable place to unwind! The grounds and rooms are immaculate, the caretakers are wonderful, the complimentary breakfasts were excellent, the owners are friendly and very accommodating. We absolutely recommend Secret Beach Cabanas. Yes, Secret Beach is a ways from town, yes, the beach is very busy from 11am to 4 pm, yes the water is crystal clear, yes everyone in the area is super friendly, yes it is our favorite part of our 7 day trip! It is no further than most people drive to work and it is an enjoyable adventure of a ride, the roads are bad, but better than in town, the bustling part of the day has a start and end time, unlike town where it is always noisy, the water is pristine and gorgeous unlike most places we visited in town, there are very few people there. There were 2 beach "vendors" that we saw each day and they remembered us from the first day and never approached us again. Restaurants are abundant, but close late in the afternoon. If you miss them for dinner there are several other options within 15 minutes. Stop by a grocery store on the way in for snacks, water, sodas, ice, etc. Bring a bright flashlight for driving at night, the cart lights we had were not very bright and it served as our "brights". Everyone we encountered at Secret Beach were friendly and we felt very safe the entire time. Except for the busy time of the day it was silent... we could almost hear the fireflies! Got no bites of any kind. Fun to watch the daily crowds too!

warm and sunny

the unit was as advertised and very clean. the unit manager was great to have and very helpful they could not have been more friendly and a great reason to come back. the hardest thing is the distance back to town and that the roads are not very good.

Wonderful

I had a great 9 night stay at the cabanas. Athena and Tristin were amazing hosts!!! The location is perfect, breakfast was delicious, and the property is well taken care of. Athena gave thoughtful recommendations and taught me a lot about Belizean culture. I truly left feeling like family. It is clear that Athena loves to help her guests in anyway possible and wants to give them the best time possible in Belize. I recommend Secret Beach Cabanas to anyone staying on Ambergris Caye

Quaint little cabana's right next to the water.. the only negative I would say is the lack of air conditioning. This wasn't a big deal for me but if you definitely need AC then maybe this isn't the place for you. Staff was super friendly, everything was clean.

Cabanas Secret Beach

The cabanas are very cute. And just the right size for two. It is off the grid so be prepared for some adjustments to connected life. ( quick showers, septic, can’t flush anything 😒 , water has to be in a bottle) Everything else was GREAT 😊. Friendly hosts with a great location. Can walk to everything but a golf cart would be wise. Come enjoy

It’s always about the people

Alexis and Giselle were wonderful host to my husband and I. It was our first time coming to Belize and they welcomed us with open arms.The end of our visit we felt like we were leaving family. Everything was very clean and tidy and Giselle made the best breakfast I’ve ever had. They were very helpful when planning activities and point us in the right direction depending on what we wanted to do. Sunset palace had a very nice massage facility and they will come to the site to give a relaxing massage by Martha at The Spa by Sarah.Highly recommend staying with Alexis and Giselle as their hospitality is above and beyond what we expected!

The property was great and the view was amazing. The hosts were great and the owners communication and willingness to help out our first time Belize trip was above and beyond my expectations of a property owner. We would go back again!

Beautiful location.

We enjoyed our stay. Hosts were so helpful. Great restaurants and bars at secret beach. Unfortunately few fish when snorkeling although the water is crystal clear here. Snorkeling is better in the other/reef side of the island. Didn’t realize that most everything shuts down just after sunset on weekdays; will plan better next time, or just take a day trip to secret beach.

Great Place in Ambergris Caye

This location is wonderful. Its right on the shoreline. Crystal clear waters are literally right outside your bungalow. We ever got to see bioluminescent water while we were there absolutely incredible. The only warning I have is regarding the heat. There is no A/C at this location and the fan helps but, man was it hot.
