The space
As soon as you turn into the private road leading to your air conditioned Airstream the world fades into the background and an immediate feeling of relaxation takes over. It's simply magical.
The large deck facing the magnificent cacti landscape and overlooking the breathtaking Caribbean Sea is the central point along with a 200 square feet pergola which provides shade in the hot Caribbean sun. A shaded hammock, strategical positioned to watch the 5 pm bird show of Banana quits and Humming birds frolicking in the sprinklers. Enjoy a great BBQ with your very own Weber grill, and experience a one of a kind tropical outdoor shower, our most talked about feature. Ending the day with stargazing while listening to the waves break at a distance.

Location:
Located in the middle of the island, a perfect base for exploring all attractions within a 20 min drive. Private enough to experience total relaxation and social distancing with no shared spaces. Located 10 min from the airport and 15-20 min from the High & Low rise area.
For your comfort:
Besides the outdoor shower and sink, there is an additional outdoor toilet and a fully equipped BBQ area with sink. Snorkel gear, pool floats, beach chairs, towels, cooler, shopping bags, anti-theft beach bag and yoga mats are at your disposal. Locally sourced Aruba Aloe products are available through out the property including hand soap, sanitizer, dish soap, bath gel, shampoo and conditioner. No one should be doing laundry during their vacation so we provide a professional free wash & fold laundry service Mondays-Saturdays.

A lovingly created spice garden and 2 raised planter boxes which are filled with the hosts attempt at vegetable gardening :-)
Nature Preservation:
Several rare indigenous trees that are being grown as part of our conservation effort with local nature foundations are present.
We maintain several watering holes, bird feeders and artificial owls nests in the surrounding area. This ongoing conservation effort has attracted many endangered birds and provides them with safe nesting areas. A binocular and bird identification book are at your disposal.
Two hiking trails leading to the ocean are nearby.

- Grocery delivery is available and recommended for the first 3 days, we will
order, prepay and stock them for you on the day of your arrival.
- We proudly connect you to local urban farmers & bakers to facilitate delivery
of fresh organic eggs, yummy sour dough bread and locally made juices,

hiking guides that can assist in making your vacation memorable.
Sustainability:
Is very important to us and it influences everything we do and provide at the Airstream. The list is long and always evolving as we discover new products and needs. Listed below are the Top 5. More details can be found inside the Airstream manual.
1. Paper products are provided by Cascades Pro with the exception of the
interior toilet which requires an approved RV specialty paper product.
2. Single use plastic bags are provided by World Centric.
3. No other single use plastic is available inside/outside Airstream
4. Hypoallergenic Ecosnext Laundry Detergent sheets are used
5. All grey water from Airstream, outdoor facilities and washing machine is
directed to plants & trees.

Aruba Airsteam Experience cleaning & sanitation protocols originate and are mandated by:

Guest access
Guests have private access to all amenities. The Airstream is located on 3 acres of private property shared with host in a safe, centrally located and friendly Aruban neighborhood. A shared front gate entrance to property followed by a private road leading to Airstream.
A rental car is strongly recommended for easy transportation. Free parking is right next to & behind Airstream.
Other things to note
We are delighted to welcome up to 3 guests seeking a unique Caribbean glamping experience and looking to relax, recharge, and reconnect in nature.
This might be surprising to some but this is not the ideal rental for everyone.
This is a nature rental that prioritizes bird & nature conservation/protection as well as sustainability over occupancy. We kindly ask you to consider other rentals if one or more of the below situations apply to you.
- looking to party or hold gatherings
- exceed the limited amount of guests approved
- dislike or are afraid of darkness, lizards, bugs, rabbits, birds, occasional snakes (rarely) and bees.
We welcome children of all ages even though the Airstream is listed as "unsuitable for children below 12 years" due to no pool & deck fence. If you are considering to rent with children please don't hesitate to contact us for more detailed information. We are happy to answer all your questions so you can make an informed decision.
Our Jacuzzi is NOT heated at present since it is attached to, and flows into our saltwater pool.
We urge you to read carefully through our house rules before booking this property, they are strictly enforced.
Neighborhood description
This desired North coast area is centrally located, friendly and a very safe local neighborhood with many attractions nearby yet secluded enough for relaxation. There is one hiking trail accessible directly from the property and another trail a short drive away. A small corner supermarket is 1 min drive away, fresh smoothie & juice place 6 min drive and 2 wonderful neighborhood bakeries within a 5 min drive. Studio Murano Art Gallery & restaurant is 2 min away.

Getting around
A basic rental car is highly recommended since public transportation is too infrequent in this area of Aruba. A 4x4 vehicle would be a plus for great off roading near by but not a must. Property is easily accessible with a small car. Bike rentals can be set up or recommended. There is a great hiking & bike trail close by. Detailed information available upon request.
Additional House rules:
1. Please treat this property with respect and care. Much effort, time and love went into creating this beautiful space. This is a NATURE RENTAL! Since this is not a hotel or house but an RV placed in nature, it is not the right accommodation for people who are afraid of wildlife. For example, lizards, bugs, bees, bats, wasps, ants, rabbits, birds, centipedes, crabs, iguanas and the occasional snake. Let's not forget the seasonal fruit flies called Wimpiries , harmless, but their sole purpose in life is to annoy humans :-)
2.The surrounding area is a flora & fauna conservation area and is under the protection of “Happy Cadushi Nature Rerserve” foundation which installed and monitors various artificial Burrowing owls nests, birdhouses, one Wara Wara (Crested Cara Cara) artificial nest spot and 3 watering holes on-site. The foundation also fosters and nurtures displaced and insured birds.
This attracts a variety of local fauna so loud music or any interaction (touch) with the nests or birds is not allowed. You will have plenty of opportunity to see the local birds from close up from the observation deck, especially in early mornings and around sunset. Please know that by staying with us you are directly supporting our nature foundation and we are beyond grateful for the support.
3. Life happens, please report any damage done to Airstream or property asap so we can still try to repair or replace during your stay.
4. There is no pool fence or guardrail for the deck ( 4 feet drop off) Swim and use it at your own risk.
5.Your closest neighbor and host has 2 dogs, one young Yorkshire Terrier named Alfie who is a runner (he is air tagged) and very ill behaved and one very senior Mini Poodle named Kiara who is very sweet but blind and deaf. Both won’t be able to resist the smell of a good BBQ. There is a good chance they will stop by to greet you. Please let us know if that is a problem for you ahead of time.
6. For your safety and the safety of future guests, location sharing on social media or with others is not permitted.
7. Photo shoots for marketing purposes & social media promotion have to be disclosed prior to booking and the host has to give express written approval.
