This is a cozy German-style fachwerk house that features a spacious living area and three bedrooms, providing enough room for up to 10 people to stay comfortably. The cheerful kitchen nook is equipped with all the necessary amenities for cooking and entertaining. Additionally, it's located just a short walk away from the Blastenhoff and Surfenburg sections of Schlitterbahn.

It's worth noting that Oma Seidel's Haus is situated next door to Opa Seidel's Haus (which accommodates up to 6 people). For larger groups of up to 16 people, it may be possible to reserve both properties for your visit!

Great location home

The location and property were perfect for us. The kids really enjoyed the wildlife in the front yard. There was a beautiful 6 point and 4 point bucks and several does hanging around.

Best house in NB!

The property was super clean and described accurately on the listing. Great location and offers a second small home next door for additional guests. Communication with the owner was a breeze. Highly recommend this property when visiting NB for winter and summer adventures!

Wurstfest 2022

This property worked perfectly for our family getaway. We were from Virginia, Georgia, Florida and NC. Amazing we all made it work. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen well stocked. It had everything I think a home away from home should have in the house. Plenty of towels, silverware, glasses , cooking utensils. We just ate our breakfast there. A Keurig coffee maker and pods was perfect for the two coffee drinkers and their styles. We would definitely rent again. Also, the bed I slept in was very comfortable. /

The location was great and it was very clean at check in!

The property manager was very responsive. The only thing I would say is since there is a 10 person capacity, there are only 4 parking permits allowed, that should be made very clear. I may have missed it but it was not a big issue as you could park vehicles about 5 minutes away.

Amazing location and access to river time fun

My family and I come to New Braunfels once a year at least for the last 40+yrs and this by far was one of the best locations we ever stayed at. We comfortably fit everyone within the house, plus plenty of parking for all the groups coming from multiple locations across the state. One of the best perks is how close it is to the Comal River. It was a short walk to put in on the Garten Street Bridge for a short early morning float, and couple blocks away from Prince Solms park to long float through the tube shoots. Best part... 2 streets up from the last public exit. When we wanted to go out at night, we were a short Uber ride from downtown New Braunfels, which made coming and going even more convenient for our group. The conversations with the owners beforehand made the check in process simple for those that were closer and the check out process was easy too. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for the big birthday milestone.

Fantastic property and location

Communication was the owner was stellar and thorough. The property is everything you need for a family and we’ll maintained. Location could not be better for schlitterbahn or tubing. Highly highly recommend!

Clean and Great Location by the River

A small group of friends and I rented this place out to float the Comal and it was perfect. Plenty of parking, close proximity to all that New Braunfels had to offer and best of all it is right next to the Comal River float exit. Would recommend to anyone!

Great stay for Wurstfest

My family and some of our friends stayed here and it was perfect for Wurstfest. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Would love to come back during the summer to go tubing! Only suggestion would be 1) get a new dishwasher. The current one does not clean the dishes well and we found a few dishes that had been put away that had dried/caked food on them 2) add a handheld shower head to one of the showers since neither bathroom has a tub to bathe young ones in. This will help families with small children.

We had a great time!

A group of 9 of us came down to float the river and we really enjoyed our stay! Great space in a great location. Only thoughts were some more lighting outside would have been nice- we brought cornhole to play and couldn’t really play after it got dark. We also wanted to leave the place clean when we left but couldn’t find much in the way of cleaning products. Nevertheless way we had a great time and I’d definitely stay again!

Short visit hosting young adults.

Great property and location. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our visit. Walking distance to Schlitterban and a short drive to Guene for dinner and shopping and tubing. We would certainly stay at this property again. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Details and household necessities were not provided, and the property manager was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Great location, nice home but no trash bags and other necessities on top of management rudeness, we won’t stay here again

Schlitterbahn getaway

We loved this house! It was a great set up for 3 adults and 5 teens (we did bring an extra blow up bed so the teens had plenty of room). We had plenty of space to be apart and be together. Everything was very clean and organized. Right across the street from Schlitterbahn and very close to Comal River and Guadalupe River.

Hello. My name is Christine Seidel, and I have been working as a Texas Realtor® since 1999. I am currently semi-retired and only work for my family. My husband, John, encouraged me to pursue a career in real estate, and in February 2003, I opened my own real estate company called Seidel Properties and Resort Management Company. In 2012, I sold the company to my big brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dinah.
Since Covid and Snow-vid, I've been feeling a bit bored and decided to get back into the vacation/resort business again with our personal properties that we own in New Braunfels and Aggieland (Bryan, TX). I remain active with my volunteer work with different organizations such as the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, Comal County Emergency Service District #7 (ESD7), Braunfels Foundation Trust, Leadership New Braunfels, New Braunfels City University, National Association of REALTORS, and Texas REALTORS.
In my free time, I love playing tennis, hanging out by the lake, spending time outdoors, taking my dogs for a ride in "their jeep", and enjoying the company of family and good friends. I believe in enjoying life to the fullest.
