This charming log cabin boasts high, exposed beam ceilings with skylights, rich wooden floors and walls, and plenty of desirable amenities to ensure the utmost comfort for you and your guests. The well-equipped, eat-in kitchen comes with everything you need to brew up your morning coffee, whip a few tasty treats for your outdoor adventures, or prepare full-course dinners. Settle into the fantastic living area with high ceilings, a flatscreen TV, and plenty of comfortable furniture to choose from. Upstairs, you'll find a furnished loft with a smart TV for streaming your favorite Netflix shows using your own account, a foosball table, and a small table and chairs for two-player games. And outside, take a seat and enjoy the forest and mountain view from your furnished, covered deck.

The town of Franklin lies just seven miles away, so you won't be far from groceries, restaurants, or refreshments and live entertainment at Lazy Hiker Brewing Co. Those looking to get out and explore can enjoy numerous hiking trails and waterfalls throughout the surrounding area including the Rufus Morgan Trail located just four-and-a-half miles west. And for watersports and terrific trout and bass fishing, don't miss Nantahala Lake, only 15 miles from your door.

Great, quiet, out of the way cabin. Well appointed with wverything you need to stay as long as you like. We really enjoyed our stay. Be aware that it is 20 minutes to the nearest grocery so bring your food. Also, the road to Nantahala lake is very curvy and the 10 mile drive will take 45 minutes but is worth the drive.

Wonderful home inside and out. Home is fully stocked and our grandsons enjoyed the upstairs entertainment area. This home was definitely added to our favorite list.

The printed directions to the property were not even close the real location. Had I not had friends who lived full time a mile down Wayah road I would not have been able to find it. Very BAD.

Beautiful cabin

The location of the cabin is perfect. It’s secluded but close to town. The setup of the cabin inside was very nice. We were comfortable and happy.

Very nice

Having grown up in Franklin, I really enjoyed this house. It was clean, plenty of towels, good beds, etc. I really enjoyed the front porch. The woods are beautiful. I would not advise driving up the driveway with ice without proper gear. If you get really hot in your sleep, the upstairs bedroom runs hot, but the two fans in the house help so much. The cleaning when you leave is also easy.

Holiday Sanctuary

My wife grew up just a stone's throw from this property. We rented as a supplemental place to stay during a family holiday visit. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, no issues or complaints. Would not hesitate to rent again!

Mountain Getaway

We love this cabin! It's the perfect place to access all the fun and adventure in this area: hiking, fishing, scenic drives, waterfalls, etc. It's close to great towns with shopping and restaurants. And there's nothing better than relaxing on the porch to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or afternoon drink while listening to nature at your doorstep.

Perfect solitude

The house was cozy and comfortable. It is only 10 minutes from our friends antique store Nestfeathers. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was accomodating and the deck was where we hung out! Very peaceful. We would consider staying again when in the area!

Quick Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and easy and Vacasa was easy to work with. We probably would have liked the house more in the woods. You still are able to see the neighbors this is why I took off one star, but that did not stop us from enjoying the outdoors, or the firepit. The inside furnishings were very comfortable. There is also a great hike just down the road. I overall really liked this place.

Quiet getaway

Very nice and very private. We plan on staying there again. The close encounter with a black bear getting into the trash cans was a great experience. We manage to capture it on video. The bear took one of the trash cans away but we recovered it the next day. It was such a great experience we will always talk about.

Peaceful and Relaxing

Our stay at this cabin was excellent. The location of the property is close to downtown Franklin and neighboring towns. The main purpose of our trip was to get away and find peace and quiet and it was acheived. The cabin met all needs. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking supplies. Only complaint was we were suppose to check in at 4pm and did not get to check in until 7pm due to housekeeping arriving late. We will definitely rent this cabin in the future.

Bluebeary bungalow

Very beautiful setting and secluded. House had a few quirks, like the lower bathroom would not lock. Also we found a cooking utensil in the drawer that wasn't clean. The beds were decent. Toilet paper was junk, bring your own. it was so thin it takes half the roll to clean up. All in all home was nice place to get together with family.
