Sea Turtle Resort itself showcases numerous pieces of Chinese folk arts which have been incorporated into its design, furniture and furnishings. Vero Beach boasts a range of excellent parks for outdoor enjoyment. Round Island Riverside Park, only minutes from Sea Turtle Resort, is a notable destination for nature enthusiasts. It has a boat ramp and is great for paddleboarding, kayak eco-tours and manatee watching off the boardwalks. Round Island Oceanside Park has a lifeguarded beach and children's play equipment. Just a few minutes' walk from the Round Island Parks, newly opened Oyster Bar Marsh Conservation Area is great for hiking through the mangroves.

All but one of the following parks are located nearby Sea Turtle Resort on the barrier island: Riverside Park offers huge green spaces, picnic areas, and a fishing pier along the Indian River Lagoon. South Beach Park provides direct access to the Atlantic Ocean with sandy shores and lifeguard stations. Jaycee Park offers waterfront views and a boardwalk for relaxation. Let your dogs run wild at Seaview Dog Park. McKee Botanical Garden, on the mainland, showcases lush landscapes and exotic plants. Vero Beach is a short divided-highway drive from these AIRPORTS: Vero Beach (local), Melbourne (35 miles), Palm Beach (70 miles), Orlando (100 miles), Fort Lauderdale (125 miles), and Miami (140 miles). Vero Beach is also a short divided-highway drive from these CRUISE SHIP PORTS: Port Canaveral (60 miles), Port of Palm Beach (75 miles), Port Everglades / Fort Lauderdale (95 miles), and Port Miami (160 miles).

Sea Turtle Resort is located on the barrier islands, with the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Indian River Intercoastal Waterway to the west. The home is 1/8th mile down an unpaved white sand road fittingly named "Sea Turtle Lane," which is just off the beautiful A1A coastal two lane highway, near the estate section of Vero Beach. No hotels or high-rises for miles in either direction, but not too far from wonderful "old vero" beachside shops and restaurants. Several bridges provide convenient access to nearby mainland grocery, big box, mall and outlet shopping.

LOGGERHEAD, GREEN and LEATHERBACK, OH MY!

Vero Beach is one of the most important sea turtle nesting sites in North America. The beach in front of Sea Turtle Resort is a popular nesting site for several species of sea turtles, including loggerhead, green and leatherback.

There are steps that you can take to help us protect these magnificent creatures. During Turtle Nesting Season (March 1st to October 31st): never approach nesting or hatching turtles, never walk on or disturb turtle nests (they look like sand mounds and are often taped off and labeled with orange tape), reduce visible light at night by closing ocean-facing curtains and blinds, turn off or reduce lights facing the ocean, and if walking on the beach at night use only red light flashlights (provided in the lending library at Sea Turtle Resort).

SPACE EXPLORATION

SpaceX and NASA rocket launches are often visible from your balcony at Sea Turtle Resort. While the launches are quite visible to the naked eye, binoculars are available in the Sea Turtle Resort Lending Library. Check calendars for launch dates and times.

Please respect our tranquil community - weddings, parties or other events are never permitted at Sea Turtle Resort. Local regulations restrict cars to 5 maximum and forbid all outdoor amplified music at vacation rentals. Penalties are severe and we appreciate your understanding. Smoking is not permitted in the home. The home is dog friendly (additional fee per dog). The swimming pool is heated (additional fee per day).
