Definitely felt like we were in the woods! Easy access, very friendly and helpful hosts. Beds were comfortable! Only one bedroom has light blocking shades.

Weekend with Dickens

Excellent little spot for a weekend getaway. Close to quaint towns and markets. No TV which had our family talking and laughing. Perfect in everything ❤️

Catskills Getaway

This house was a perfect location for us to get into downtown Callicoon which is only a few minutes of a drive from the house. It was also super convenient to drive to Bethel Woods from this house too. We loved the creek that ran right outside of the house and across the street. The house itself suited all of our needs and the owners were very helpful in assisting us with any questions or requests we had. Overall, we would recommend this house. Until next time!

Utilized this rental home for my Framing crew while building a new home in the Catskills. Sara was amazing at the last minute needs of our construction crew. She was responsive to my emails, added on days, allowed us to stay additional days; made my life so much easier during an already stressful time. Thank you.

House Framing Crew

I booked this home for my framing crew coming from out of town. The booking, check in process was always smooth. Sara was very responsive and accommodating. The home was clean, and Sara offered fresh eggs and coffee for breakfast starters. It’s a great place to unplug from today’s world. Nestled against a mountain overlooking a brook in a quaint countryside.

Great place to stay for a local wedding!

Amazing communication with Sarah and the property was clean. We only stayed one night for a wedding, but would have loved to stay longer to try the farm fresh eggs that Sarah generously left for us. Great place to stay in an area with limited accommodation options.

Catskills family reunion

Our middle son has a holiday home just over the Callicoon bridge in PA, and for a large family gathering we were seeking additional overnight accommodation for 10 nights. The Catskills NY Barn House, provided the perfect solution for us as most of our time was spent at our son's home or out participating in activities, including eating out. Our hosts, Sarah and Dustin, were especially friendly and helpful, and we did not want for anything during our stay. The welcome pack, cleaning service and linen change was much appreciated. If we were to visit the area again and require additional accommodation, we would certainly rebook. If we had any criticisms it would be that the one toilet in the one shower room might be a bit of a challenge in the mornings if 5 persons were staying at the Barn, but the bedrooms and living room/kitchen area is big enough to accommodate them all. Also, the Catskills NY Barn House stands beside and close to Sullivan County Route 121, which has a 45 mph speed limit. Young children require supervision and passing trucks can be quite noisy during the working day. But in the evenings and at weekends the route is quiet, with just the sound of the water passing over the rocks in the Callicoon Creek, on the opposite side of the road. Finally, there are few effective curtains at the bedroom windows to keep out the light on long summer evenings and early mornings, so having an eye mask handy maybe appropriate. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Cute, Clean and Quiet

Sarah and Dustin were amazing hosts! Communicative and friendly, they went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. We were only in town for a night for a wedding, though we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lovely creek just across the street.

Lovely little house. Nice location next to the creek and at the base of a forested hill. Loved all the little extras - local coffee, eggs, tea, etc. Great communication with the owner. It is off of a slightly busy road, but we found fast driving on most of the local roads; people like to speed along the country roads here. If you bring little ones or pets, just keep a close eye on them. Loved the farmer’s market and local restaurants. Very beautiful surroundings. My best friend and I were visiting for a retreat, and this house served us perfectly. There is only one bathroom, so just be aware of that if you are traveling with multiple adults/teens.

Cute place

Excellent location close to callicoon. The brewery in the kitchen table Cafe were awesome. Communication with the owners was top-notch and fantastic. I've been going up there for 35 years and this was a great house to stay. For those that complain about bugs you know nothing about upstate during the summer they're everywhere lol. Clean comfortable accommodations and the little extras that you'll have to find out when you rent from them you'll appreciate. I would definitely stay here again.

disappointed!!

Place was dirty, bugs all over inside. Bed was so uncomfortable. Woke up with back pain!! No dressers to put anything in. Ran out of toilet paper. NO TV! She could have let us know. We would have brought one. Oh and forget about sleeping. You are so close to the road with constant loud cars and trucks!!

Super cozy getaway place

Nice little house that has everything for your stay! Sleep with waterfall sound, very relaxing. Has many lakes and waterfalls within couple minutes of driving. I definetly recommend going here with your loved one for romantic getaway!
