The Chickadee Suite is an immaculately kept, fully-equipped Suite located at Hummingbird Suites.
We have two Suites, Hummingbird & Chickadee.

Your private entrance passes by one of our gardens often visited by the ruby-throated hummingbird and many chickadees.

One of our guests had this to say about this Suite: 'We love it here!! To find Hummingbird Suites was to find a slice of heaven in the midst of an already perfect oasis. Can't wait to come back. You are gracious & thoughtful and this is truly the best place we have ever stayed on any vacation'.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Suites. We found the Chickadee Suite to be very clean and comfortable. The location was nearly perfect for our trip. It was just a few minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park but still far enough away to be very quiet and relaxing. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the extra thick bath towels. Check in was easy as was the checkout procedure. We would definitely stay here again.

Our suite was very clean. It had what we needed in the kitchen and the bathroom was well stocked with towels and other items. Our hosts, Kevin and Donna were very friendly. After I admired his Orchid Cactus Kevin gave us clippings for our own. After we got home I rooted them. We were located very near Acadia Park and some great restaurants.

Lovely Stay

My best friend and I stayed here in early November for a few days and were thrilled with the location, Kevin & Donna's hospitality and the convenience to Bar Harbor. Their kitchen was excellent - very well equipped and the place was immaculately clean. We visited at the beginning of the off season, which I'd highly recommend. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Chickadee Suite

Very clean, one bedroom cottage. Plenty of towels kitchen had everything we needed. Comfortable beds with ample blankets. We would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was clean and met all of our needs. The only problem was the street noise. It was fine in the middle of the night but in the evening and as early as 5AM it was annoying, even with the windows closed.

Gem near Acadia

Apartment was ver well stocked. We cooked and ate in two nights. Bed was very comfortable. It was only minutes to Acadia and down town Bar Harbor with many restaurant options away from the BH crowds.

Great place!

Great property. Just as advertised. Great location. Very clean. Kevin the host was on-site and very helpful. Had no problems while staying there. Would book again and definitely recommend to all.

Great location, comfortable bed, beautiful gardens, nice people, charming suite.

Chickadee Suite was perfect for us. The bed was so comfortable, the beautiful gardens outside had hummingbirds and butterflies. Kevin and Donna are wonderful people who seem to have thought of everything a guest could want, a good kitchen, lots of space to unpack, motion lights outside and a charming suite perfect for a couple. We enjoyed the eggs from their hens on the property and had breakfast on the sunny deck. We would definitely recommend Chickadee Suite and would stay again if back in the area. Even better than it looks online! You’ll enjoy it.

Great Location for Acadia & Bar Harbor

We stayed in the Chickadee suite at the far end of the building, surrounded by beautiful flowers. Quiet (other than some road noise, which didn't bother us), private and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped, and there were plenty of linens - we had everything we needed. The bedroom is spacious, with 2 closets and a large chest of drawers, so you don't have to live out of your suitcase. And the location was so convenient - just a mile from the entrance to Acadia, and downtown Bar Harbor just beyond that. Kevin and Donna are great hosts. He immediately fixed one small issue we discovered in the suite, and they were kind enough to let us borrow a small cooler for water. Only comment is that the decor in the suite is dated, but that is not important.

What you see is what you get & just right for us.

This was a perfect stay for us while visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Quiet, clean, private, & every thing we needed for our stay. We liked that we were away from the "tourists", but a close drive to downtown area. Thank you!!

Little slice of Heaven

My husband and I were so happy that we choose this little place to stay. The location is great. Close to restaurants and shopping but not in the thick of it. They are a mile down the road from The Chart restaurant, which is a wonderful place to get seafood, look out at the water and experience great service. We live on a main road in North Conway, NH so to us we felt right at home being on Rt. 3. It wasn't really all that busy and the traffic sound was minimal. We went out back to the deck and sat and had a glass of wine and watched the ducks and geese swimming around right in the back yard. It was quiet and relaxing. Kevin and Donna have thought of every amenity that you would need for your stay. The apt was cute and immaculately clean. I clean for a living myself so when I tell you that it was clean, I mean it. I also have done vacation rentals and I can say that this little place was fully stocked and very welcoming! If you want fresh eggs, you can also buy them here as they have a little outdoor fridge stocked with farm fresh chicken, duck and goose eggs! Honestly, it was one of the most comfortable places that we've ever stayed at. We look forward to our next visit. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Pleasant cozy vrbo

We enjoyed the location as well as the actual property. Donna and Kevin have a beautiful home just minutes away from Acadia Park entrance but not directly in Bar Harbor where all the tourist are. Very quiet average with attention to detail.

Donna and I built Hummingbird Suites ourselves and named it after Donna's favorite
bird. Kevin works at a local genetic research facility and Donna is a beautician and runs her own Salon. Kevin is from Florida and Donna from Massachusetts.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We live so close to the national park and we had so many friends from other States always wanting to stay with us because of the beauty and so many outdoor activities that we decided it was a great location for a vacation rental.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Hummingbird Suites is only one mile from the National Park and yet close to town but you don't have to fight the traffic of an in-town location. Also we have plenty of parking which can be quite an issue in town. Our favorite activity is watching the numerous hummingbirds that spend their summers here at the Suites visiting a variety of flowers in our gardens.
