FUNKY BOHO 1BR NEAR LAKE, TACOS, BREWERIES AND DOWNTOWN

Walk to Estes Park's best tacos, breweries and margaritas after visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, which is just a short drive from the front door of my cozy 1br duplex apartment (STR#3004). Located in a central & lively residential neighborhood blocks from Lake Estes, downtown, and the rec center and fairground.

The space
Real quick, some house rules (sorry it's no fun, but please read!!)

+ Understand that the yard is recovering from machinery used to install a new privacy fence. Grass and flowers are taking hold but it's currently pretty barren and therefore not advertised in the listing.
+ No early check in or late checkouts.
+ Check in is 4pm or later; check out is 10am or earlier.
+ No smoking inside or out; no fire pits; no parties; no pets.
+ 1 cars & 4 guests max per legal limit. (1 bed + air mattress)
+ At checkout, you must do dishes and start a load of towels/hand towels/washcloths (we have negotiated a lower cleaning fee based on this).
+ Accurate guest count mandatory.
+ This is a duplex in a residential neighborhood; there are neighbors.
+ No cable -- bring your own streaming accounts for the smart TV.

Thanks for checking out the west apartment in my newly remodeled duplex, just a few blocks from downtown. It's got 1 queen bed and a queen air mattress, sleeping a max of four (though two is the suggested limit).

My home i's an ever-evolving arthouse and will for many years be a work in progress; our friend Wade, a celebrated local muralist, will slowly be turning the walls into gallery space for his black and white line drawings and murals of the animals and landscapes of the National Park. Not only will there be hung art, but he'll be painting murals on the walls themselves.

The first mural is a 5' tall black and white eagle in the media room, which you can see in the photos.

The location of my place is perfect -- you can explore great restaurants, breweries and taco joints after you've hiked, skied or climbed all over Rocky Mountain National Park.

The park entrance is about 10 minutes away, and within blocks are ball fields, the event center, a local pump bike track, skate park, the rec center (spa, pool, basketball courts and weight room), and much more. My favorite brewery, Lumpy Ridge Brewing (partly by Wade, who also draws all the can labels) is just up the street.

You will love its cleanliness and bohemian feel. I recently renovated every surface, resulting in:

+ New bathroom (shower, flooring, vanity)
+ Updated kitchen with new appliances
+ Fun lighting and eclectic accents throughout
+ A large smart TV with lots of streaming options,
+ Super fast WiFi with no dead zones

This is a brand new listing for me, but I am a long time Superhost with more than 425 rave reviews at my other duplex on the other side of town.

***** IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES *****

This is a duplex, and both sides are short term rentals. The only shared space is the driveway. The wall separating the units is sound insulated, but please be respectful of your noise levels.

This duplex has been itching for a facelift for many years. The inside has been completely redone, but the yard (which I have not advertised) is recovering from machinery that tracked back and forth to install a new privacy fence. The grass and flowers are trying to regrow!!

There are other homes and rental units in my neighborhood. If you are looking for isolation in the woods, this isn't your best bet.

Check in is 4PM and check out is 10AM. I cannot accommodate early check ins and late check outs due to my cleaners' schedule. It's a super tiny mountain town and the cleaners are slammed and there just aren't other people to clean. I'm sorry about that!

SLEEPING

My home offers a 1 cozy queen bedroom on the back side of the building (super quiet!) plus sleeping for two more on a queen air mattress.

EATING

There's a small dining seating two between the kitchen and bedroom.

LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT

Media Room -There's a brand new 4K smart TV with Roku in the media room. Log into your favorite streaming service. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, etc.

WiFi - My home employs a mesh WiFi network with no dead zones. A strong 600Mbps connection will allow you to stream and work without any issues.

LAUNDRY & COOKING

Kitchen - The kitchen has everything you need to cook, including a full stove and oven, fridge and freezer, and assortment of pots and pans. My brand new knives are sharp (dull knives are a pet peeve!). There are cutting boards, wine glasses, coffee mugs, and a drip coffee maker.

Laundry - The home offers a full size washer and dryer that you are free to use.

Guest access
Guests have access to my home's western apartment. It includes 1br, 1 bath, a media room, a living room, a kitchen and a dining area.

Other things to note
NOISE

Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level so I can maintain good relationships with my neighbors. Note that this is a duplex and there are other renters on the other side of the unit. Treat our neighbors like you'd want to be treated.

The house is equipped with NoiseAware which measures sound levels and alerts us if things are too loud so I can give you a heads up. It does not record content, it only measures decibel levels so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (we will also be alerted if that happens). NONPAYING GUESTS

Insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property.

AIR CONDITIONER

Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze will cool the home down quickly.
