My overall impression of the property is mixed. With only one bathroom, it took some coordination and there were only four of us on this trip.
The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was excellent. The house was clean, and we really enjoyed the TVs in each room!
Some constructive feedback:
I'm used to other rentals providing more in terms of a coffee bar setup. There was a canister of decaf available, and some instant coffee, so as passionate coffee drinkers we had to buy our own. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning if coffee is important for travelers. We were able to buy some delicious coffee at Summit so it was only an issue on our first day.
We visit Davidson frequently, as we have a Freshman who attends the college there. Although we have been to Davidson several times, we weren't familiar with the location behind the Roosevelt park area, but I have to say it's not the greatest. Many of the properties surrounding this rental are eyesores and unkept, and I don't think the pictures accurately portray that reality. That said, our rental was the nicest property in the neighborhood, so it has been shown some TLC in terms of curb appeal. Otherwise, this is not a rental where you could sit outside and enjoy any kind of view. I think providing a picture of what is outside the windows of the property would be helpful for renters.
My exchanges with the owner were positive, although I would have liked to have more information about the check-in process prior to my arrival. We were given our check-in code at 4:00 on the day of our arrival. Granted that is the listed check-in time, but since we were traveling from Kentucky I had a little anxiety when we were almost there and still hadn't received any instructions on how to gain access to the property.
Finally, the water pressure for the only shower is really, really weak. I have never had to spend as much time in a shower to get the soap out of my hair. Since there is only one bathroom, this meant that it took us all a long time to get ready. The rental sleeps up to 10 people, but be advised that the water pressure and the single bathroom situation are definitely something to consider if traveling with more than two people.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay. It is close to town, clean, and comfortable for a small group. We probably won't choose to stay there again on our future trips to the area. But it is affordable and convenient to the many amenities that Davidson has to offer.
