Such a fantastic place!

This is an incredible space to stay in while in Hermann! Laura is a 5-star host!! Each aspect is better than advertised. The bed is ridiculously comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Great location

Laura was an amazing host. The room was in the heart of it all so you can walk just about anywhere. Very cutely decorated. The snacks and drinks provided were great. And the sheets on the king size bed were soooooo amazinggggg. Would stay here again. Love that Ainsley's restaurant is just out back as well.

Quaint and Peaceful

The Street Suite was the perfect location for a mix of peaceful privacy with dining and night life just a few blocks away. The suite had everything we needed and the addition of the welcome basket was a nice touch. The bed and shower were delightful. The perfect anniversary trip for us! Thanks Laura!

We had a wonderful stay at the Street Suite. Laura went above and beyond with communication and details. We enjoyed the food/snacks, drinks, and bottle of wine that was provided. The room was clean, cozy, quiet, and within walking distance to everything. We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing experience

We loved our stay. Itā€™s in a perfect location, walking distance to everything. The room was clean and cozy. Full of snacks and drinks. The shared space in the barn was such a fun option. Communication with property owners was perfect. I canā€™t say enough good things about it. We will definitely be back.

Perfect weekend getaway!

My husband and I loved our stay at Murphyā€™s! Laura was so easy to coordinate with and so kindly provided chilled wine and lots of snacks for us upon arrival. The bed was so comfy and everything was so clean! The location is ideal for a couples getaway, including walking to breakfast (Ainsleyā€™s Place is literally in your backyard!) and walking to wineries and little shops. The trolley picked us up at the front door so we didnā€™t drive anywhere the entire trip. We had an amazing time and hope to be back soon. Thank you for your hospitality, Laura! ā™„ļø

Hermann weekend away

We went for my boyfriendā€™s birthday and spent the weekend at the wineries. The room was very clean, well thought out, and cute. They stocked the room and fridge with snacks and breakfast. Itā€™s in the perfect location. You really donā€™t need to drive anywhere. Either take the trolley or walk. Really nice time. Definitely recommend.

Great Location!

I've been to Hermann a few times and always enjoyed visiting the town. This time around I stayed at Murphy's B&B. I enjoyed my stay very much as it was in an excellent location and within walking distance to everything! If you are a cigars and whiskey my favorite shop is just a short walk away! It was quiet and quaint and just what I was looking for to get away from all the noise in my busy schedule for a weekend. Laura was great and very accommodating.

We are Laura and Dan Schulte and we are the owners of Murphy's. Some of you from Hermann may recognize the Schulte name. Judy and Norb Schulte moved to Hermann in the mid-1960s to open the Schulte Bakery downtown. They had four children, Christine, Ellen, Tim and the youngest, Dan. Dan spent his childhood in the idilic setting of Hermann and eventually met Laura after college in St. Louis.

Laura is from St. Louis, however Hermann immediately became another home for her heart. Married in Hermann, the drive was made from St. Louis to Hermann, visiting with Judy and Norb (and all the cousins!) multiple times a month. Our two sons both say Hermann is their most special place in their hearts. After Judy and Norb's passing, we all still gather at Tim's home, which he made with his wife, Dr. Michelle Schulte, and their two daughters.

To say we are thrilled to be back in Hermann is an understatement. Laura can't wait for the extension of holidays for her immediate family, her sister Holly and her family, her brother Mike and his family, as well as our remaining matriarch, Carol, at Murphy's.

We are invested in Hermann and we love this town. We hope you will like the changes we are making in expanding our guest accomodations, but know we will be handling everything personally.

We offer a unique private experience conveniently located in the middle of Downtown Hermann. It is a private residential street with extra amenities for that special touch. We know you have choices to look at but our guests feel at home at Murphy's. We hope you find the extra details are worth staying with us!

Our private suites allow you to be comfortable in your own space while still allowing you the option to explore the grounds. Our guests are welcome to relax and enjoy our three outdoor patios, our large back yard and the "barn." The Barn is another structure in the back of the property with large lounge furniture, a projector tv, darts, board games and space to relax. We also have large barn doors that open up so you can view 4th Street and people watch.

We also provide another outdoor refrigerator with sodas, seltzers, beers and waters for our guests. This is a complementary amenity that our guests have loved from the start. Whether you walk to the restaurants, shops and wineries within in immediate area or just lay back and lounge on the property, we want you to feel at home and well taken care of.
