Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain and traction laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refunds related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving everything was exactly as stated! The house was awesome and the beds were very comfortable. We had read a couple reviews that the beds were uncomfortable but we didnā€™t find this true for us. Would definitely stay there again.

Was a great place to stay but the only downside was the water is right there but you canā€™t fish at this property. You have to go down to Park Point to fish and itā€™s a little ways to walk to downtown.

Best Vacation Ever!

Just my daughter and I doing something different for Christmas. The house was so nice, toasty warm, easy to find, off of Shadow Mountain Lake. Beautiful for 2 or up to 6 people. Everyone in the Grand Lake/Winter Park area was so nice! We may have to make it tradition!

Beautiful views and on the inlet to Shadow Mtn Lake. Kitchen is good enough. A good kitchen table and chairs to seat 6 or more.

Great place in Grand Lake!!

This property was perfect. Direct lake access from the back yard. Very clean and spacious. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Location was also close to downtown Grand Lake. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we really enjoyed this property. The location was easy to reach, the open living area offered space for family gathering and we enjoyed watching the wildlife pass by on the canal. However, the beds were so uncomfortable, we had people camping out on the couch and sleeping in the recliner. It really took away from our stay to have such poor beds. The kitchen could also use a restocking on basic supplies like cookie sheets and pot holders. We also did not have enough towels, pillows, to accomodate our group (4 towels for 6 people over 4 nights). Having to drive our trash to a dumpster in town was also a request that I do not feel was reasonable.

Nice, but not what expected

This is a nice property. Very clean, well managed and all. My only complaint is the description lead me to believe this property was on the lake. It is not. It is on a small inlet to a boat harbor. I thought I was going to be in the lake.

Overall, if you want a log cabin vibe where you can put into the lake with your SUP right from your backyard, this is it. Our little family was so happy here! Thank you!!

We were there in the off season but still enjoyed several mornings on the lake with our canoes (bundled up of course) and walks into town our kids. We enjoyed dinner and Sagebrush and cooking in the beautiful kitchen at home.The ladies at Grand Mountain were a joy to work with and suggested a wonderful hike for us well. Thank you for the lovely experience, we will certainly be back!

Good location close to town right near lake. If you are not in great shape or have injuries then would be tough to get a kayak or paddle board in water behind house. Most all things you need to cook with are available. Since there is no AC does get warm on upstairs bedroom, would recommend a window fan to cool it off. Would stay there again.

Minor hiccups but a decent stay

The house was clean and big but some amenities weren't good enough. The location is good in a way that it is close to downtown but the way house is located by the water that the view is very obstructed and right across there are other houses. The check in process requires you to go to the downtown which is very close and get keys from there. And the checkout process is the same. I would have given 4 stars had the price been reasonable. so IMHO the property is decent but definitely not vaue for money.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very enjoyable visit to Grand Lake, Co when the season was winding down. The weather was beautiful & so was the water. The house does not look like the photos would convey, it is smaller and the angles of photography are clever. That said, I would stay there again. All the accommodations were nice and access to the water was 20 feet away. The direct view was across the channel at the small housing development but look to your left and the world opened up to spectacular lake views.A couple small things were irksome, The windows needed to be washed and the screen on the back of the house was useless/ripped out. I felt like for the money, these are things that should have been addressed.
