Book with us and come to Maui to explore everything we have to offer!

Great updated unit with great views! You will love the remodeled bath and updated electronics and kitchen with upgraded cabinetry and central AC. Take time to relax with your morning coffee as the whales swim by. Enjoy your Lanai throughout the day including into sunset as it is protected from the wind and direct sun. Amazing property with fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. The unit has a king bed in the bedroom and comfortable queen sofa sleeper as well as a TV in the living room. Close to it all, whale watching, snorkeling, scuba, hiking, biking, surfing, paddle boarding, and dining. The resort is one of the finest on Maui. Amenities include Heated pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, putting green onsite property manager, onsite restaurant/bar, and activities desk. Barbeque facilities and putting greens also on site. Want a quick night cocktail or dinner? The on-site boutique restaurant is a great place to relax after a day soaking up rays. On-site activity desk is ready to schedule your every desire while on your trip. Although Luau's are recommended to be booked prior to travel.

Nearby the Maui Ocean center and all that Maalaea has to offer is just a 4 mile drive. This Kihei location is also close to all Kihei, Wailea and Makena have to offer. One of the few beachfront condos in South Maui. Less than 20 minutes to the airport.

The unit is well stocked with kitchen ware and appliances, we also provide:
- beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, sorry no snorkeling gear,
- a toiletries starter kit sufficient for short stay,
- a starter kit of laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and kitchen cleaning supplies,
- drip coffeemaker and some coffee to get the trip started
- linens, towels, etc.

Great location!

This condo was in a great location in Maui! Easy to get to and lots of great things to do close by. The condo itself could use an upgrade and a deep cleaning. The kids loved the pool and we all loved walking the beach finding treasures.

Wonderful stay

We had the best time at Sugar Beach. The condo had all the beach equipment we needed. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of lines. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location

At the far north end of Kihei, so quiet! Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for easy access. Great pool and amenities. Condo was well stocked with everything we could need. Would definitely come back!

Quiet, peaceful, and well-kept.

Good bed, clean property, quiet location (in April). Good pool and hottub and the grounds were cleaned daily. If you want a party/all-inclusive style resort this one isn't for you, but if you want simplicity and relaxation it's perfect.

We had a positive stay, but the check out process was difficult, as disabilities prevented us from moving as quickly as the house cleaner wished us to go.

I had a great stay. Ive stayed in the unit before and enjoy the location. I would however recommend replacing the living room carpet. It is really filthy and stained. Thanks again.

Great place, great beach!

The stay was lovely! The location is wonderful there’s a cute little bar/sandwitch shop right next to the building, the pool was very clean along with the whole grounds of the property! My kids were in the pool daily. The beach is literally steps away and it’s a great beach! Our room was just as described. It’s an older complex. Built in the late 70s but it’s been kept well.

Great Location/A little Dated

Loved the resort, pool, hot tub, sun tanning area and BBQ area were great. Condo is somewhat dated. Carpet in living room was very stained, countertops in kitchen were clean but old, appliances worked great. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom fan very noisy, we could hear the neighbour's fan all night (obviously they left theirs on overnight). We would stay there again, but carpet really needs replacing. We had to wear sandals inside as husband's socks were no longer white after walking around, bare feet got quite dirty.

A spoonful of sugar

“Next time we come here, can we stay at sugar beach?” Words said by my boys as we were sadly leaving. Sugar beach resort exceeded our expectations. We have two active boys, 12 and 8, that loved the pool, hot tub, sauna, and beach. It became a nightly routine after our day of exploration. The condo itself was simple and met all of our expectations. It was nice to have access to a washer/dryer as well as a full kitchen. The boys slept on the pull out bed which is super soft and cozy. We will definitely hope to stay here again.

Maui great location and facility

Overall stay was great! We really enjoyed this property. Only downside was the bugs that came out in the evening and swarmed the area and were drawn to lights inside. Even a brief opening of a door drew in so many bugs into the unit. I he bugs didn’t bite or anything but kids didn’t like to see them swarming the lights and ceiling. This isn’t the properties fault as they were all along the beach too. But would have helped to have some kind of bug spray to deal with them:) Overall this unit was perfect. Beds were comfortable and included everything we needed for a wonderful vacation!

Sugar Beach Resort needs updating

Property was kept clean by grounds crew. The view was very nice. The beach was beautiful. The building itself is way overdue for paint in the halls. Very poor lighting in halls and entryway. The unit itself was in need of an update. They also say " air conditioned ", but it was locked at 73 degrees minimum. Nowhere is that expressed in listing. I prefer colder when I'm sleeping. So was uncomfortable. I'll seek out a different property for our next trip.

Sugar Beach Resort

Overall this was a delightful condo. We've stayed all over Maui and have found Sugar Beach to be a gem. Great location if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay that's central to everything Maui has to offer. It's a great beach out front for walking, relaxing and swimming, and a short drive to great Kihei restaurants (none within walking distance) -- although the bakery and farmers market within walking distance are delightful. The pool and hot tub at the resort are great amenities, although often pretty busy. The condo itself is dated and could definitely use some upgrades. A few refreshes like new couch, carpet, updated bathroom, could go a long way. It's also important to note that the condo isn't walking distance to any restaurants, so if you're looking for more night life this may not be the best fit. Overall, we used this condo for a place to relax after a day of adventuring around Maui and for that it was perfect!

Convenient but dirty

Overall, decent (decent because obviously things are not cleaned or replaced too often) with the exception of a few things…bathroom sink was plugged with hair (not mine) and would not drain well or get hot water. All knives were dull and did not cut into fruit well, pillows were flat, beach chairs were in bad shape, ceiling fans did not have a high setting, tongs were broken, front door and floors were dirty, and even the sewing kit had broken scissors. So, overall decent but could definitely be improved. I love sugar beach but was just not blown away by room. Pics on Vrbo were much nicer than the real deal.

Sugar Beach Resort

There are pros and cons with the SBR. Pro is the proximity to the beach making morning beach walks before coffee super convenient. There is also a cozy little bar on the property that is perfect to cap off your evening. Cons, it is an older property and this particular condo has not seen any updates in quite some time. It is managed by a property mgmt company and not an individual and it really can be seen in the details. Very little in the way of kitchen food staples, two packs of coffee and salt and pepper. Single ply TP in the bathroom, I didn’t even know they still made single ply. The sliding pocket doors to the bathroom and bedroom can be heard all day long from the condos next door and above you. You can see the ocean from the lanai but the view is pretty limited and faces west so you can’t see the sunset. The pool is very close and is pretty busy/noisy with kids all day long. There was an hour in the morning dedicated to lap swim, but no adult hours. All in all, it was fine for our stay , but nothing special.
