We're glad our communication and response time met your expectations, though we’re sorry for the inconvenience with the water heater and the backyard conditions. Your notes about the rebar, nails, and pet waste were very helpful, and we’re taking steps to address each of these issues immediately. We appreciate your patience and understanding and hope to have the opportunity to host you again under improved circumstances.

We go overboard to keep our properties in first class condition, and - by various media - we encourage every guest to call us if they encounter any problem with a property's condition. Many issues can be addressed immediately and most are solved inside 24 hrs. In light of our business model & practices, it's frustrating to receive a bad review, particularly when no one spoke up during their stay. We've grown used to accolades & glowing comments but we always strive to improve our service, and we recognize that one honest negative review can be much more valuable than ten attaboys, so we appreciate Kevin's belated comments We're in the process of examining each of the areas that may have prompted him to dis the property and publish a 2 star "ehhh" evaluation. In order of concern, here we go: 1. Beds. Everyone has different tastes in mattresses. The owners like these beds. Although they're not brand new, they're expensive & certainly not old. In the 2 years this short term rental has been available, no one has complained about them. The owners & I will take a new look but don't expect to make any immediate changes. 2. Door noise. We examined every door. Of course, the outside storm & security doors can be loud, but with lubricants, we made them quieter. As to interior doors, we found only very minor squeaks. They're all been re-oiled & are all silent now. 3. Great room TV. The mark on the screen is not a crack. It appeared recently & is noticeable only when the TV is off. It does not (even slightly) impair the viewing experience. We'll probably replace the device some day, but it's not a priority. 4. Bathroom door. Thanks for letting us know about this. We had no idea there was any issue. We adjusted the plate & it's now just fine. 5. Electrical outlets. Really? As a host, I recognize it's possible for owners to get used to the things they see every day & think they're all good. But this house's mechanical systems, including the electric, have be inventoried & regularly inspected. After a new look, we've found nothing to merit any complaint. 6. Dark House. Other than in the Great & Florida rooms, windows are shuttered to provide after-dark privacy & quiet. Almost every guest appreciates this & understands that shutters can always be opened to "let the Sunshine in." We like it nice & bright during the day" but secure & private at night. As noted above, we appreciate honest reviews & take them seriously. Thanks
