Bright, Airy Oceanfront Townhome

This oceanfront townhouse is ideal for families and couples seeking a peaceful coastal escape. Located in Ocean Glen, a quiet 38-unit community on the barrier island of Bogue Banks, the property is surrounded by natural beauty and tranquility.

Ocean Glen is tucked into a maritime forest adjacent to the 200-acre Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area, offering privacy, wildlife viewing, and an uncrowded beach—no high-rise buildings here. Enjoy a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere where you can socialize with neighbors or enjoy complete seclusion.

The North Carolina Aquarium is just ½ mile away, located within the Roosevelt Preserve on the sound side of the island. It offers year-round activities for all ages, plus nature trails and educational programs.

We started coming to Ocean Glen as renters in 1991 with our young sons. We liked it so much, we kept coming back (sometimes twice a year) until we finally purchased our place in 1996. We have tried to make our beach home a pleasant and relaxing place to be. Please e-mail us with your questions. Come give North Carolina’s Crystal Coast a try. Stellar week at Ocean Glen

We enjoyed a fantastic vacation at Ocean Glen. The property had everything we needed to make the stay complete. Great location easy access to EI and Atlantic Beach. The owners were easy to contact and made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend staying at this wonderful place.

Perfect location

We loved our stay at this beach house! It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. The location was perfect—just steps to the ocean and close to all our favorite spots, very close to the aquarium. Our favorite thing was enjoying the deck which is oceanfront in the evening times with a glass of wine. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We can’t wait to come back!

Just what we needed

Quick walk to beach. House was very clean and funiture is updated. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was clean and functional. We had a great time. Weather was hot but breezy and cool waters.Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful shore and location

The owner goes above and beyond to prepare for your stay from baby gates to chairs, grill, and sand toys. The home is beautifully decorated, and the location is perfect.

Highly Recommended

The condo is well laid out with comfortable communal spaces and quiet bedrooms. The furnishings are well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with cooking essentials that are often missing (measuring cups, measuring spoons, kitchen towels, e.g.). The location is optimal, with a stretch of undeveloped land next to the complex. The result is easy access to a beach that was relatively quiet for mid June. We never had to compete for space or felt intruded upon. Overall it was a fantastic trip in a home that that we will visit again.

Great location for our family

You really can’t beat the location and convenience of this property. We were steps from the beach, which made everything super easy with young Kids. Our kids (8 and 5) thought this home was the coolest thing ever. We would alternate between the beach and the pool with a nap in between. The complex was very quiet with no loud neighbors. We drove into Beaufort several times for pirate and dolphin cruises, which we highly recommend. There’s plenty of fun shopping and dining there too. James was a great host and highly communicative. We had a wonderful stay, and would love to return!

Excellent Trip

This was our second year staying here and it was just as great as the first! The property is very clean and well stocked and close proximity to both the beach and the pool, with ocean views from the master balcony. We spent a lot of our time at the pool which is well maintained. The property owners are very responsive. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful beach vacation

This property is perfect. There is not one thing my family and I would change. From the beautiful home to the beach being just outside your door. No need to carry all your things to the beach when you are staying right on the beach. The house is clean, charming, convenient, and the beach! I've been to beaches all over the world, this is my favorite. We want to stay here next year, and the next, and the next! Hosts are incredible. Thank you.

Fabulous property for family beach getaway!

This property is perfect for a family vacation. This is the second year we’ve stayed here and we love how the place is decorated and the proximity to a pristine beach and the community pool. The thoughtful layout gives our family of four plenty of space to relax and prepare most of our meals at home. The homeowners are so kind and easy to work with and they respond quickly to all inquiries. This place is truly a gem in the quiet Pine Knoll Shores area!!

Great Home Away From Home!

The location was steps from the beach! The lovely home had all kinds of games for inside and anything you could possibly think of to take with you to the sand. Everyone should staying in the units were very personable and friendly.

Wonderful experience!

Absolutely beautiful and great experience all around! The check in process was very easy and the hosts were communicative. The property is clean, well stocked and bigger than the pictures look. There is a good amount of privacy since it is multiple levels. We divided our time between the ocean and the pool and neither disappointed! We really loved the pool as it is nestled in between trees and was rarely crowded. The beach is just a short walk from the property as well. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Pine Knoll Shores!

A lovely week

We had a great time staying at this property. The proximity to the beach can’t be beat! Comfy beds, lovely kitchen. Two things to keep in mind - the pool appears in need of renovation (smelled like sulfur, seemed dirty) and the wireless is the community network; no password protection.

Awesome beach trip

This property is very clean and right on the beach. There are lots of fun beach toys, chairs, and boogie boards to use. The inside of the property is super spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, and having laundry machines is very helpful. There are two parking spots (though it is a TIGHT fit, it still is great to have two spots!) Check in is a little weird as you will be mailed two keys which you then mail back (in a pre-stamped envelope) after your trip. Also, the property was still being cleaned when we got there despite it being after check-in time and it was a little tiring to have to wait in the parking lot after a long drive to get there. The property is in the middle of the island so it is a 15 minute drive or so to get groceries and stuff. To us, it is worth it because it means the beach is not crowded at all! We felt like we had a private beach most of the time. It was wonderful. The one big downside to this property is that the walls are VERY thin. The first day we got there we had loud neighbors and we could hear every word they said. They checked out the next day luckily. The next group was much quieter but even still you could hear things through the wall. We put white noise apps on our phones in each room so that we could sleep. The property managers are responsive and very helpful if you have any questions at all. Overall we had a wonderful vacation.

Fabulous home and location

We loved this property so much! Booking the rental and corresponding with the owner was easy and efficient. The home was the perfect size for our family of four (6-yr old son and 1.5 yr old daughter). The proximity to the beach was perfect with two young kids and with no crowds on Pine Knoll Shores beach, we spent long days playing in the surf and sand. We also really enjoyed the community pool and meeting other families in the Ocean Glen townhomes. The rental was clean and inviting and had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable away from home. It was a fabulous vacation!!

Our stay was one of the best experiences we have had on any beach vacation, ever. The proximity to the beach could not be beat, and the house was comfortable and well stocked. Great place, close to beach and well maintained!

Very nice place to be near the beach. The condo is just a couple of units from the beach. You can hear the surf if you open the windows or sliding glass doors. Very clean and has all the necessary items in the kitchen. Multiple TV sets. Made use of the washer drier to clean the beach towels and other laundry. They have some chairs, boogie boards, etc. for the beach and access has hose and showers for cleaning up. Pool nice and not busy, most are at the beach. Property has great courtyard with mature live oaks, very serene. Very, very nice place and would definitely plan another trip to stay there if bringing my two daughters along (each had their own bedroom). Also great communication with the owner. Very fast responses and communication to answer any questions. Highly recommended!!
