The Literary House

Located in the heart of the historic center - a pedestrian area, three minutes away from the stunning beaches and the main square - , The Literary House is the perfect place for those who want to follow the trails left behind by famous authors, such as Torquato Tasso, Keats, Ibsen, Shelley and many others, in an evocative yet modern setting, luxuriously furnished and complete with every comfort.

The front door opens onto a spacious living room, which features a kitchen with induction cooker, coffee machine, SmartTV, free Wi-Fi, and a wide, sunny terrace overlooking the historic alleys, the typical citrus grove and an unforgettable sea view.

The two bedrooms - one of which with private bathroom and design day bed, the other one featured by a tailor-made wooden bookcase - have both a terrace, too, with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius; both have king size beds, open wardrobe and SmartTV.

Moreover, there are another bathroom and a utility room with washer/dryer.

Everything was Perfect!

Stayed 3 nights in the absolutely beautifully appointed Literary House. What a lovely place to experience Sorrento. The main city area is just a few steps away for the dining, shopping, and beach! Pier Luca was a wonderful host and helpful with suggestions (including an amazing cooking school which was a highlight for our family trip.) To stay here was one of the best choices of our Italy vacation.

We loved our stay here! Communication was excellent. We arrived by car and parked in a parking lot recommended by the host. He met us there and helped us with my moms bags. The walk was flat (about .3m to apartment). The location of the apartment was in the middle of restaurants and shops, but still very quiet and peaceful in the evenings. There is a small shop downstairs to buy food and beverages that was very convenient. It was a 20 minute walk to the ferries which was also very convenient. The apartment was clean and well appointed. We highly recommend the Literary Apartment for your stay in Sorrento!

A treasured stay!

The Literary House was the best decision we made on our trip to Sorrento. From the moment we booked to the second we left, Pierluca was a gem - always available and beyond helpful. The location is perfection. Right in the middle of town close to many restaurants and shops. The property itself is delightful. We were there with our 18 year old nephew and it was important for us to have two king beds and two separate bathrooms, which is very hard to find in Italy. The apartment was perfect for us and allowed us to enjoy coffee on the terrace, movies in the living room, and plenty of space for us to enjoy our trip together. I can’t say enough amazing things about our stay. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful apartment!

We loved our time staying at this property. Everything was perfect. The apartment was spotless upon arrival and located in a great part of Sorrento, so close to everything. We’ll be back! Would highly recommend.

Amazing Accomidations

We spent 3 nights in this stylish and comfortable apartment. The decor was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. We all slept well. The location was perfect. Communication with Pietrluca was very easy and he even met us at check in with great advice for our stay.

AMAZING!

The Literary House is by far the best VRBO rental we have ever stayed at. The apartment is clean, well equipped, and exquisitely decorated. The host was always quick to communicate, was a wealth of information, and helped us tremendously with our excursions. I HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Best Ever Stay 10/10

My husband, our adult son and I stayed at this VRBO in Sorrento and LOVED it. Beautiful apartment in a perfect location. Views of the Bay of Naples from the balcony and an orchard of lemon and orange trees across the lane. Our host, Pierluca, could not have been more friendly or more helpful. Hated to leave!

Perfect Location!

Beautiful, well appointed apartment in the historic district of Sorrento, no cars allowed so quiet and peaceful. Pierluca was a great resource, arranged parking near the apartment for our rental car and provided great recommendation to local establishments. We used Sorrento as a base to explore Positano and Amalfi and had a blast driving on the Amalfi coast road, if you are from North America its a bucket list drive!

Fantastic!

We were so happy with this apartment. The location is great with a grocery and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment was spotless and had all the amenities we needed for three days. The washer and dryer were a godsend after traveling around Italy the week prior. Our checkin was seamless and the host checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything. Highly recommend!

Central in Sorrento

This is a cute and clean apartment in the middle of Sorrento, but slightly away from the heavy traffic in a quiet place. The apartment was clean and bright and had a view of the bay, just as advertised. The host provided great communications throughout and helped us get into the apartment (cars can’t pull right up to the front). Thank you, Pierluca!

Perfect Place to Stay

Our entire family loved this apartment. The location was amazing it has amazing restaurants right out it’s gates. It is close to everything you want to do or pick up locations. The apartment itself looked exactly like the pictures and was light and spacious, and the views we wonderful! It was hot when we went so the AC’s were a lifesaver. The apartment had the perfect extras like good coffee and a clothes steamer. Then owner was amazing and extremely responsive to the couple of questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again

Pleasure to be there

The apartment was presented beautifully, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Recently refurbished, all conveniences, plumbing, a/c etc were in excellent working condition. The host was superb, starting with loading our many bags into the Bambina to save us dragging them 200m over cobbled streets. He responded to our every request, arranging transport and excursions, and made excellent suggestions to help us enjoy our stay. The apartment is as represented on the website. The vast eclectic library scattered throughout adds to the funky vibe, while the view to the Med makes being there a pleasure. For two adult couples, it was an excellent choice.

Spring Break in Sorrento

How to sum our experience at The Literary House? Perfect. The property checked all of our needs and was ideally located in the historic section of town. Quiet, spacious, and bright, with large doors that open to a lovely balcony, it’s the perfect spot to soak in the gorgeous surroundings when you wake up or return home after a day out. Enjoy sunsets with a beautiful bottle of wine and some mortadella and cheese from a nearby salumeria. It’s amazing, trust me. The view from the apartment is stunning, looking out to the Gulf of Naples. Pierluca, the owner, made us feel like family during our stay, in addition to arranging private transfers as needed during our stay. He was quick to respond to messages and provided great information regarding restaurants and the various happenings in Sorrento during our stay. His knowledge gave us greater insight into optimizing our stay in town.This truly is a remarkable property, and made our time in Sorrento that much more enjoyable!

Perfect Place!!

We loved our stay at the Literary House. Was immaculate when we arrived. Our host can us great directions on where to be dropped off and greeted us there. Short walk and a very brief tour of the place and we were left to see what the place had to offer. The view of the water is beautiful. It was nice to sit on the patio or living room and just look at it. We were given fresh fruit on our arrival and was great to have with our morning coffee. The place and area in general is very quite. There is a small grocery store on the ground floor near the building entry/exit. We were 3-4 blocks from the Main Street and then another couple blocks from the main square. Getting a taxi or meeting drives for tours was never an issue. The place at night was quite and we slept very well. Each room and bathroom were very clean. Checkout process was easy. There is a small elevator that was great in moving our luggage when checking in and out. I usually just took the stairs otherwise. Great place and host. We had no issues and would stay here again.

Beautiful, Stylish, and Perfectly Located!

I can't get over how absolutely beautiful this apartment was. Every inch of the interior was thoughtfully designed. The spacious balconies offered a stunning view and the beds were so comfortable. No detail was overlooked! Pierluca was great and met us at the car park, helped us with our bags, and was so helpful before and during our stay. I can't wait to go back and book this apartment again!

Perfection

I traveled to the Amalfi Coast with my wife and mother-in-law, with the intention of visiting several cities and islands in the area. Not being sure what city to have our apartment in, we decided on Sorrento. Not only was this the best decision from a logistical standpoint, the Literary House was one of the highlights of our vacation. Our host, Pierluca, has an attention to detail beyond measure, and was extemely helpful all throughout our stay. The Literary House is breath-taking, and is a destination in itself. The day we return to Sorrento, we plan on reserving the exact same apartment.
