Enjoy the quiet lakes of Maine this summer!

In all the time we've been renting our lake house, we have never run across such a blatant attempt to scam us into reducing the rental fee or 'kicking back' funds. None of what is said here is accurate or true. None of it was ever recorded on our outside security cameras. I scoured the property for three days to find the nails that this guy is talking about. Nothing. This is a scam renter and review. This renter complained from the first hour he was in the lake house, and continually thereafter. He complained about dangerous things in the driveway. So I went there almost every day for a week, with rakes and shovels, and even a metal detector, to find what he was talking about. PMy wife and I designed this house and built it with great care and affection. Since it was completed, last July, it has been occupied almost every day by renters of all ages and backgrounds, many of them with children. In that time, we've had nothing but warm thanks, good memories and five star reviews, as people have come to central Maine to enjoy the lake, the quiet, the wildlife and the many interesting towns and attractions within a days drive. Many of those people are there again this year and we can hardly fit any new people in for next year. None of them ever complained about any of the things contained in this review, and if they had we'd have fixed it. When I told him I just wasn't seeing what he was describing, he got more aggressive. There are two problems with what he claims. The first is that he never provided any physical evidence of what he was talking about, always claiming that he just 'threw it out' before I got there. The second is that while my outside security cameras always showed him driving off in the morning, or someone taking the dog out, not once did they ever record a picture of anyone looking for these dangerous things in the yard that he claims to have found. So, here's my advice to you, if you're considering renting our lake house. Look at the quality of the construction, design and interior furnishing shown in the pictures on this lake house. Then look at the other reviews we have gotten, and ask yourself whether those things in any way line up with what this reviewer says. I suspect you'll be as mystified as we are, as to what's really going on here. Something just doesn't fit. It never did.
