The owner is wonderful! The listing is now showing that this rental is in the basement of another rental taking place upstairs. I would not have booked my stay there had I read that it was a basement level rental as I thought it was the house. The owner did all they could to make it a good experience. It was very clean. I wish we had rented upstairs not downstairs. Noise from upstairs is a deterrent for me, mumbled conversation, walking, etc. The upstairs hot tub is above the one below we found that out when we were in ours at the same time and water came down from above on us plus their music on at the same time we were listening to something. The couch is very worn and needs replaced. There are “new age” spiritual decorations throughout. Very concerning for Christians to see the public show of such decor. Beautiful Mountain View’s. Great location. Great host! I do not recommend this level unless you are younger, but the upstairs must be awesome!

The property has always been described as a private lower-level guest suite, with a separate rental upstairs. That said, I took your experience seriously because I never want guests to feel surprised or misled. I've since moved this information to the very first sentence of the listing, with additional details still outlined in the full description. I hope these changes prevent that from happening again. As a side note; the home's eclectic decor is inspired by my travels around the world, and I love sharing that with guests from all walks of life. I'm sorry the space wasn't quite what you envisioned, but I appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best!

Perfect space

The space was nice. The views were amazing. From the hottub…the dining table…and the bedroom. It was super private but close to so many things. Perfect location. We will stay here again!

Lovely Mountain Spot

Great spot to stay in the mountains with a view! Nice halfway spot between colorado springs and woodland park, which we enjoyed hiking in both of these cities and of course, visiting Garden of the Gods.We loved the hot tub and enjoyed it most days after hiking in the morning. We recommend crystal falls hike, and the little town of green mountain falls.We also recommend the Lovell Gloch trail and the rainbow golch trail in woodland park COWe saw lots of deer as well, which was quite entertaining.We will visit again!

Downstairs suite

The location was great. Easy to get to all Pikes Peak/Colorado Springs sites. This is a downstairs suite of a house with a separate deck and entrance. The stone steps along the side of the house will be tricky if wet or snowy. Check in and communication with host was good.

The property was great for the most part. There are some little things that were weird. I didnt know it was the bottom unit of a 2 unit rental and the people above us were up until 4am and not loud per say but they were not walking quiet and there was cabinets slamming or something like that happening the entire stay which was very weird feeling since there was 2 girls staying alone we were a little on edge. There is a couch in the "theater room" they called it, but even if we wanted to watch tv the couch smelled pretty old and raunchy like the smell of a bunch of B.O. not very enticing. There is furniture all over the place that is just worn done scraped and very used which just took away from all the beauty and hobestly if i had known there was units i would have never rented it in the first place because i was looking for secluded and quie. The owners also are somewhere close but not attached which was a little disappointing because no one wa ts to rent a place and wonder where they are so a d wonder if they are watching you. Now, the owner asked if we needed anything and i asked if she could put rose petals from the hall to the master bedroom which she did but they were fake petals which ki nda made it lame and not what i was going for but still nice that she was willing to try to accommodate! Overall it wasnt a bad stay it just wasnt the stay i was hoping for. I wish it was a little more clear on the space and the fact that it was the bottom unit of 2 rentals.

HI Beks, thanks for being my guests :) It is listed as a guest house, my apologies that quiet hours were ignored, I usually have very respectful renters! Thanks for letting me know about the couch, I'll give it a good cleaning. I live on the other side of the mountain and cannot see the property from my house, just as an FYI, you were not being watched. Sad to hear you were disappointed by the free service I provided with the beautiful silk rose peddles. Overall I appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind for the future.
