Just a half a block from downtown, the historic Wild Rose's location is perfect for walking to the restaurants, cafes, galleries, and the town shuttle. A wonderful fenced yard with a deck, hot tub, and BBQ for summer gatherings or a nice soak apres ski sits across from Coal Creek. Sit on the front porch and listen to the creek and watch locals ride by while reading the paper, or enjoy the interior comfort of this restored home.

The master bedroom with queen bed, cathedral ceilings, original hardwood floors, walk in closet, TV and writing desk has its own entrance and is on the ground floor away from the main portion of the house. Its adjoining bathroom is beautifully tiled with a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and dual sinks.

A large tiled mudroom and hallway with two entrances and decks rests between the master bedroom and the kitchen. The side deck is perfect for morning coffee or evening aperitif with a view of the creek and wild flowers.

The sunny kitchen is tiled with ample counter space and a gas stove with open viewing of the cozy living room with its gas fireplace. A spacious wooden dining room table is also part of the open floor plan.

Historic windows, flooring and photos create a feeling of warmth as well as admiration for this home's restoration.

The second floor is accessed off of the kitchen next to a nicely tiled full bathroom. Double doors open to a carpeted stairway lined with several historic photos and two twin beds in the upper hallway which connects to a separate, cozy queen bedroom.

Feel like a local while relaxing by the creek at The Wild Rose, a historic renovated vacation rental.

Please note that air conditioning is almost non-existent in Crested Butte. This property does not have AC.

This property allows a maximum of 6 guests and has 1 private parking spot.

The house is very well cared for, and the communication about our visit was excellent and friendly. The house is well provisioned and very clean. The location is great, so close to Elk Street but away from any noise or commotion. The primary bedroom is particularly nice and spacious with high ceilings (it is approximately the same size as the rest of the house!). The living room is comfortable but quite small and not conducive for our family of five to hang out in or watch a movie, for example. That was the biggest downside for us, but we understand the small size is due to it being a historic property. The hot tub has a great view through the tree tops to the top of Crested Butte! Thanks very much for sharing your home with us!

This is the second time Iā€™ve stayed in this house and I love it! The location is close to some great hikes and also close to the restaurants and shopping. The house is clean and very well appointed. The hot tub was a great place to unwind and recover after a long day of hiking.

This was a great spot in downtown Crested Butte. Right at the end of the main drag so a quick walk to all the great restaurants and shopping. Right in the midst of the weekend farmer's market and easy to make a quick exit up the beautiful pass. The house was clean with just the right amount of decor -- I actually took photos getting ready for my wedding here and there was just enough touches to make for great pictures but not too much stuff. Hot tub outside was great to relax!Great that this VRBO has a designated parking spot. Street spots were available, but just makes for even more convenience.

My family has stayed at The Wild Rose numerous times over the years. The spacious floor plan, spotlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen, this home has everything you need to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal with all the sides. It was our first Thanksgiving here, and I would spend the holiday at this vacation home again in a heartbeat. The town is quiet, with locals who are happy to greet you, with no shortage of shops open to find what you may have forgotten. I was happy to wake up each morning and warm by the stove, and at dusk watch the alpen glow as the sun set behind the Mt Crested Butte, all bundled up on the rocking chairs on the front porch!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay to enjoy some skiing in Crested Butte. This house is in a great location in CB. Close to everything but also a quiet location. The house has a great layout and fits well in CB. We would definitely stay again.

Great experience at the Wild Rose. Terrific location makes it easy to get to the bus stop for an quick ride to the mountain base. Enjoyed the easy walk into town too. House is unique, comfortable, accommodating & clean. Hot tub was the bombšŸ‘. I recommend this VRBO rental.

Great properly, fairly priced and super close to town. We were a group of 4 on a guys trip and it fit us well. Property management company was great to work with. Location awesome. Hot tub awesome. Property had character and was in great shape. Easy drive to mountain or there is a bus just a block away. Would definitely stay here again.

Christmas Vacation

The house and staff were fantastic! The house was very clean and had great amenities. The check in process was very easy and the roads and walkways were cleared of snow everyday. The house was walking distance to Elk street for shopping and dining and just a short drive up the mountain to ski. We couldnā€™t have asked for a better Christmas!

Perfect location in the Heart Of downtown Created Butte

Walking distance to all downtown festivities, but far enough away tucked on a side street where it was quiet. Spacious for a group of 5-6, newer finishings in an older home, but perfect touches that made it feel like home. Very clean, loved the hot tub surrounded by all the snow, and very well stocked kitchen for cooking. Itā€™s on the pricey end, but when thereā€™s no other options and you want to stay here to celebrate with friends, itā€™s the perfect spot to accommodate a short ski trip.

Wonderful Property

This was our families first time to Crested Butte and we loved every bit of the trip! This property is perfect for a family, lots of space, well equipped kitchen, hot tub, there wasnā€™t anything else we wish it had. The location is perfect, short walk to town for all the cute restaurants and shopping, as well as an easy walk to the bus to get to the mtn. We came during the week they received 100 inches of snow in 7 days, amazing winter wonderland but also the property was well shoveled and made it ā€œeasyā€ to park and unload. We canā€™t wait to check it out in the summer!

Perfect way to ski Crested Butte

The wild rose has a perfect location and may be most nicely appointed place that I have stayed in. 2 blocks from the bus, a block from downtown, the location can't be beat. After a day of skiing, the hot tub was just the ticket. If you enjoy cooking, or just find the need to cook for 6 people, the kitchen has almost all of the appliances, and cooking tools you could need, while everyone can gather around the butcher block table and snack. Just a perfect place with incredibly responsive service. Just great.
