Farmhouse retreat central to Mystic & Westerly, with outdoor shower

Welcome to Merry Hall Farmhouse, a quaint guesthouse perfect for a restful getaway.

Enjoy a scenic walk along the Pawcatuck River or relax under the peach trees. Take a 2-mile drive to downtown Westerly RI for fresh seafood or a walk at Wilcox Park. It is a 4-mile trip to the shops and dining in Stonington Borough or 7 miles to all the attractions in Mystic. Misquamicut is only 15 mins away!

Some unique features in this 1880's home include pine floors, original doors, and antique wrought iron thumb latch hardware. We have two separate bedrooms with queen beds and another two small rooms with twin beds ideal for children.

Guests will have the entire Farmhouse and separate outdoor space for BBQ and relaxing. Our home comes fully equipped with everything you may need for a relaxing vacation.

House Rules:
No smoking
No parties/Events or Gatherings
Parking is limited to 3 vehicles
No Pets
We welcome families traveling with children. Please be aware that our home is not child proof. Child locks, gates, cribs, monitors ect. will not be provided.

The maximum number of guests we can host is 6 including children and daytime visitors.

We have a shared driveway with parking available in front of the farmhouse. Guests are not permitted to park on the street or blocking the driveway.

Please note that the stairs to the second floor are narrow and steep which may pose a challenge for guests with mobility issues. The master bedroom and full bath are on the first floor.

What an amazing house to stay in! Comfortable and beautifully decorated. Was an amazing way to spend our weekend away. Host was wonderful, easy instructions and I have to say the best tv instructions that we have ever seen.

What a peaceful and beautiful property super close to everything, but perfectly tucked away from town to relax at the end of the day. My wife and I took our toddler to Rhode Island to experience the beach and we loved staying here during our trip - from relaxing in the lounge chairs out back to using the stocked kitchen to make family meals. The farmhouse is impeccably clean, cozy and comfortable. We can’t wait to return!

Spent a weekend in this beautiful, immaculate house . Everything we needed was there ! The hosts are nearby and ready to assist but never intrusive. The kitchen is big enough to cook, eat and relax . The yard is amazing. Walk to a nature reserve on the water . Absolutely will come again . Thank you !

Roommate reunion

This was the perfect spot for our group, former college roommates now celebrating our 40th birthdays together, to have a relaxing getaway. The location was so peaceful but close to everything we wanted! It was clean and cozy, with a short ride to beaches and restaurants. We would definitely return.

Perfect accommodations for a family visit

My friends and family came into town to spend time in Mystic and help me shop for my wedding dress. It was the perfect space for a relaxing weekend! There was plenty of space for the 6 of us and we loved the kitchen and decor of the property. We were able to sit outside and spend time together in their comfortable outdoor lounge chairs. I would not change a thing about our time at the guest cottage. Highly recommend!

Little Beach Getaway

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was wonderful. The cottage is clean and beautifully decorated. It has all the little touches to make it a home away from home. We were 15 mins away from Mystic and 15 minutes away from Misquamicut. It was perfect. The cottage is located near a beautiful lake too. Breath taking. I would love to stay again next year!

A beautiful house, well-equipped and furnished

The house is a guest house on the property of the owners, which made it very easy to ask questions and chat about the area - even though plenty of info. was provided in advance and in a visitors' notebook. The area is full of attractions - petting zoos, Mystic seaport and aquarium, beaches, dining, shopping, etc.

So oleasant

We had such a lovely time at the home. Everything was it tip top shape and the owners were very helpful with information about the are and the property. We loved the outdoor shower! The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots and other stuff- not like some we have stayed at with a single pot or mixed silverware. This was very thoughtful and coordinated. The stairs had a bit of a low ceiling but not a concern for us- even our 6ft 2 in tall family member and this would be our only complaint. It was not in the center of anything but was just a very short drive away. We liked this because it gave us space to relax and easy to do things. We would definitely stay here again! Loved our vacation!!!!

Lovely farmhouse rental

This cute home is charming. Beautiful old pine floors add a lot of character. The kitchen is well stocked and comfortable to cook in. The bathroom is beautiful, clean and updated. Easy walk to a pretty marina and quick access to shops and restaurants.

Great Weekend Away

Had a wonderful weekend away with a few girlfriends. Plenty of space for us to spread out. Although only one bathroom, it was plenty big. Good location as it is only a 10-15 minute ride from so many things to do.

Relaxing get away

A wonderfully relaxing place to stay in a quiet serene area within a close drive to wonderfully beaches, historic Mystic, historic Stonington borough and many other attractions. The owners are great people and the house is well appointed and has all the amenities you need. Highly recommended.

Spring get away

My family had a lovely spring break at this beautiful property. The location was close to the bustle of Westerly, Stonington borough and Mystic with lots of tasty eats and sight seeing. The owners provided everything you could need for a wonderful stay. Hoping we can come back when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy more of the beaches and natural beauty.

Fall Farmhouse

Our group had a great time at this farmhouse. The two twin rooms were perfect for my kids. The owners were super nice and even brought a baby gate to help me baby proof. Great kitchen had everything we needed. Linens towels and bath amenities were all super nice. The house has a giant flat yard and is a short walk to the river. Downtown westerly RI was a short drive away. We hope to stay again in the summer.

Perfect getaway in southeastern Connecticut

Peace and quiet, in former farm country along the Pawcatuck River. Easy to find, easy check-in and check-out, and the hosts live next door in case you need anything. Nineteenth-century farmhouse but everything new and up-to-date inside. Spotless. Property is minutes away from the big ocean beaches of Rhode Island, Watch Hill, historic Westerly, hiking and birding in the Barn Island Preserve, and the many attractions of Stonington Borough and Mystic/Mystic Seaport.
